I have been co-op breeding Deli and Deli for several days, nothing but fails.
Co-op breeding Elysium and Elysium yielded zero Elysium. Cloning in the CBC?
Certainly possible. Should be a way better chance than Deli/Eli + Galaxy/Epic.
I also was coop breeding Deli - Deli for over a week without a favorable result. Switching to new Galaxy dragons was not a hard choice, still have cave and Island working On Deli's though.

Quick question about the boosts. They appear as though they boost the designated element, but lower the opposite element (e.g., lightning +20% - water +0%). But when I move the lightning boost to my water island, the opposite hybrids still get a very large boost, yet there appears to be no "negative" effect to the opposite element. So what exactly does the +0% mean in the boosts? Could I put my 3 & 4 element dragons on the same island and get 20% x 4 boosts by putting all the boosts on the same island, or do they truly counteract the opposite elements? It sure doesnt appear that way.

They used to be +20%/-20%, then the -20% was removed.
So yes, you can quad boost Cotton, Leathery, Panlong, Paper & Gourd.
Though overall, you will probably make more total cash by spreading your boosts out over the islands.
Well, if a dragon earns 100 coins per minute, and you add 0% to that, that dragon now earns 100 coins per minute.
They used to apply a 20% penalty to the opposite element, but they don't do that anymore. I'm not sure why they even show the 0% anymore, but I guess they were too lazy to remove that number from the UI.
Btw - it took 3 whines, so it really was the hardest dragon to get so far for me
Hey. Newsflash. moh's scale of hardness is being replaced by mojave's scale of hardness
Delirium rates 3 on the Mojave scale. Let's hope it doesn't go higher.
Btw congratulations.

Welcome red1 Check out the beginners thread, but just a few tips: Be patient. It may seem impossible now, but you will be surprised how soon you get most dragons. There will be one or two Nemesis dragons though. They will come eventually If you don't already have it, get the colosseum as soon as you can. And race as often as you can. Gems are really important and this is one of the most reliable ways to get them. Use the highest level dragons of the right element that you have. In the early stages concentrate on feeding up one of each element (Remember each dragon has at least two elements so 5 dragons should suffice. Or is it 6 now.
Likewise make some friends in the game. Gems from reliable friends are a great source too. This is easiest if you are on the Apple platform.
Avoid spending gems to speed things up. Especially food. Instead save those gems for upgrades to your hatchery and breeding sites. Other stuff too, but htey should be the first.
Don't buy a habitat until you need it. I have lost track of the number of times I have seen a forlorn rainbow habitat that just sits there empty for months. Use your cash for other stuff.

Well, it can be done with 4: Paper (ECFP), Current (WL), Kite (MA) and a Dark/Light Rift. Which gives you the highest earners in every element except Air, Panlong is the highest Air higher earner, and Butterfly, Terradiem, Rose and Bicentennial are all higher than Kite.
Literally just joined the forums and I just started my dragon vale so any tips on what to do first are appreciated thanks in advance!
Welcome, RedOne. With this game, patience and a little luck are the keys to success. Find some friends to exchange gems with so you can stockpile as many as possible. Oh, and make as many berries as you can! koala to you.

Yes I know. But I was talking to a new player who probably doesn't have any 4 element dragons. or rift.

Welcome red1! My advice is to try to breed the highest dragons you have; don't spend a lot of time working to collect all of one element because they will come in as misses (fails) for others. and you will get higher dragons if you combine dragons with multiple elements; like a pepper (fire and plant) with tree (earth and plant). Just keep adding elements as you rise through the levels.
Welcome to Dragonvale Red1. You landed upon an awesome forum. Everyone here is very knowledgable and beyond friendly. I would just like to say, don't forget about your galaxy dragon and coop breeding. Once you are level ten (and it comes quickly) you can breed with friends. I think It is a really quick way to get dragons for beginners as they will stay in your social menu until you reach the level to hatch them. I have a baby park that I can gem you from. Send a friend request to sewing1492. Be sure to tell me it dragonvale.
BTW, quick tip that fixed a problem I've been having for the last week or so.
Both my iPhone 4S and iPad 2 logged out of Facebook and wouldn't log back in. Contacted support and ran through the whole uninstall DV&FB, reboot, reinstall, login, logout saga and still couldn't login to FB.
Support finally suggested visiting a low level park, going to the social menu and *then* hitting FB Login and it worked straight up.

Hey guys - question about the island themes. Once you purchase and assign a them to an island, can you later make that island "no theme", and then reassign the theme to a different island, or do you have to buy it all over again? I assume you don't have to purchase it again, but @250 gems each, I want to make absolutely sure before I do it!
