No I was banned, but I receive all PMs as an Email as well, so I did get your message. I should have explained in my apology post that I was in contact with him. Should have realised heaps of you would send me a PM with contact details.
LOL. Yeah I have an email from Gabriel1 telling me I'm banned again ... I think it's still temporary, but longer than 24 hours. My post, which I'm assuming most didn't see was in response to his saying "Keep things on topic." I said
"Lol. If you go back through this thread and give an infraction for every post that isn't a Tip or Trick there'll be no-one left to post here."

I think we finally connected through Twitter.
After I was banned for life (I now live on Elba) I needed some way to communicate with members. Of course I couldn't PM and I didn't have anyone's email address. So I went ahead and spelled out my email address with pavers on my Rainbow Island. Viviane saw it and contacted me and it all opened up from there.
Also, Shellee still had my email address from a long ago exchange and contacted me.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Hi, as you know, yours is just one of 60,000+ threads that we have to moderate, we have been extremely lenient in terms of Fletch's post and the subjects discussed but we need the thread to get back on topic. Assuming that you checked out the rules link that I posted yesterday you'll be aware of what my post refers to. We provide the pm service to allow you to chat OT .
One thing we cannot allow is the nature of the posts, that led to one member being banned, continuing. As much as I want you all to enjoy the thread there has been much discussion about Poppy finding a way back along with other topics which are way wide of the mark and pushing the rules to the limits and beyond. I hope it is clear that we can only tolerate so much, this isn't a thread full of teenagers, there are parents and grandparents on the thread who quite frankly should know better than to behave this way.

I bear no ill will toward them. They remind me of the old cliche:
When you're up to your a** in alligators it's hard to remember that your initial objective was to clear the swamp.
After all, they're in the communications business - their job is to act as a facilitator for their customers who wish to communicate. Screwing things down too tight sabotages their mission. It appears that some of the less mature staff there are a little intoxicated by their powers.
I think they've forgotten who their customers are. Hopefully there are adults there who will use this as a learning experience to work on their company culture.

VERY happy to be here, so many thanks (as always) to Shellee for the text giving me the heads up. I saw a bit of the other boards implosion and could not help but think it was pretty inevitable really. Shellee and I had discussed heading elsewhere LONG before now, especially after I had a particularly frustrating PM exchange with a Mod over my interpretation of their (frankly anal) signature rules, so I'm beyond pleased its finally happened. We didn't move earlier because we enjoyed the community there so much (and I doubt everyone would have moved back then) but obviously now the Mods have shown just how ridiculous they can be and most people have jumped ship together. It's great to be able to speak freely and without fear!!
Thanks to Poppy and everyone else for making this new home for us. I still won't be on all the time but I will definitely make an effort to pop in more.

I'm so glad you stopped by Michelle! The thing is most didn't know what we knew of the mods then so you are probably right..we would of been alone. I guess things happen for a reason and here we all are..I think we will be much happier here.

Aww..thanks Tristan! You are pretty important too...all our family is. Yes..I was here very early on and had been in communiction with Poppy by email. I have friends from Sweden showing up today, friends that I actually met on a internet forum if you can believe that. They come to the states once a year and we always usually spend a few days together while they are here. They are wonderful enough to always come to our city to visit us. We had their kids here a couple weeks ago but today is the only day we get to spend with their entire family this year and we are having a big bbq today so I had too much prep work etc to do yesterday and last night.
