I'm thinking that a nursery upgrade might be in our immediate future in order to match incubation times with breeding times. How about a contest where we guess how many gems the upgrade will cost? Winner receives a gem from each entrant - winner takes all.

Our forum founder, as most of us know, is way ahead of his time. It seems to me though, that with a 3rd Breeding Cave + receiving the occasional twin egg from other players, a nursery upgrade must be in our future. Personally I haven't used the Breeding Cave for the last few weeks, although there was probably an occasion or two when I have had a nursery slot open, and surely that's not what BFS wants. So this weeks poll is asking how much would you pay for some more slots. I don't see it going above 6, so the options are tailored around that.
Also, do you think they should increase the size of the current nursery or add an additional nursery? I can imagine them making a bigger one with a larger footprint or adding a new building/island, like an addition hanging off the EBI. Vote for which you would prefer.
I hope they expand the nursery slot soon to 6. However, I think BFS would not do this anytime soon as long as they make good money from the lack of nursery slots.

Hoping for a new nursery. Perhaps it will become the prize for an event. I wouldn't be surprised... That's a good way for BFS to make gems without keeping this bottleneck situation. Somehow, I see BFS playing a clever game though. They will not introduce new breeding slots for a good amount of time for the following reasons:
1) They will exhaust as much money as they can from bottlenecks. 2) They want to be deceitfully greedy- they aren't forcing or virtually forcing anyone to buy gems, they are just giving us more of an incentive to do so. 3) They want to accustom us to all the new stuff before introducing a new nursary.
They will only introduce new slots for the following reasons: 1) They will be harassed by community members to do something about it - a bad reputation could kill this game. 2) They will then use the excuse that it took them so long because they didn't want to rush us with too many events, because that's what we said we wanted.
BFS could cleverly draw tonnes of money out of this, by squeezing the last pennies out of bottlenecks and then very easily make tonnes off of a new event with a new nursary final prize. It's a good idea for them, and perhaps they will think of it...

I nod to thee, Sir, for 'tis a reasonable idea *bow*

However... I have a sneaky suspicion a new event is around the corner and will bring with it more incubation room. Or, which makes a bit of sense, an upgraded nursery which reduces the incubation times so that it's one-for-one with the upgraded cave and island. Personally, I'm guessing both since 1 additional breeding location was added, and there is not currently parity with incubation times. Plus, you'd upgrade with gems, so if you're correct in the fiscal approach, this would be in line with that mindset as well

I would like a brand new Nursery with two slots. I like decorating around new things! In addition, a new one with two slots could be expanded to four slots down the road whereas the current Nursery with eight slots would be a little unwieldy.
It would be fabulous if instead of paying for it the new Nursery was an event prize that way even those with few Gems would have a shot at getting it.

I like the idea of making it a prize, if only because I won't end up spending as many gems to win it as to buy it (still saving up for the Lost Island I missed). But could separate Nurserys roll over dragons to/from each other? More complicated code or less?

Why would there be a need to change egg from one to another? Unless of course the have different incubation times in different nurseries...

Just thinking of how the eggs rotate in the nursery. Why? Maybe it doesn't matter
They've kept the incubation times constant so far.

I couldn't remember how many gems I paid for the fourth slot so I looked it up (50). I could see 100 gems for the fifth slot and more for the sixth... but really, if it was 300 total, I'd pay it so I selected that.
