Are we just seeing old pre event races or do you lose colosseum tickets as well as other smaller stuff once you max out. If the latter, it will affect game play as I will avoid spending gems/ visiting until after the colosseum finishes
I maxed out the 650, banked the full 100 from the 'Kite Quest' in my social menu and collected gifts after I maxed out, banking the tickets also. If we consider the 'normal' means of ticket collection being; -Hatching eggs -Collecting DC -Finding Party Hats -Finding the 2 Flag-Bearers -Kairos Questing -Colosseum -Clearing obstacles then it should be safe to assume that once you have maxed out for the day, these normal means cease giving you tickets. An example from SkyFall was collecting 2 of the 3 stars during doubles (40 stars), but collecting the 3rd after doubles would net you 0 stars instead of 10 (because the limit reverted back to 30, and you already had 40). I think this would explain why/where your Colosseum tickets went.
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

Hi micheseid and welcome. The friend gifted tickets should still be waiting for you in your gifts menu. You will be able to collect them in about 11 hours when the day starts again for the Faire. Check the any of the timers on the Faire island for the exact time you need to wait. Just Try to start a game and it will tell you how long before you can.

Yesterday i probably reached max. DV collected 94 and put them on my "social list". In the play it says 650. Now I get this even if it's 8 hours since midnight here in Sweden. Probably BF-time. I do not dare playing because when I did so yesterday tickets swirled around but the counter did not "got" them ... Not much I undrstand ....
I love that there is a relatively low daily cap, it stops me from stressing about having to consciously note what I have and haven't collected. I love the fact the clock resets at 6pm my time, previous events reset 6am my time, this was really difficult for me as I am up for work/daily exercise before 5:30am. I love that we can collect from friends with no limit (this is how I will be grinding each day after dinner each night). I love that we can choose what awards we work towards, I'm going to focus on the new dragons first, keep collecting, next the new themes and only use tickets towards the end of the event for the 'non-essentials'. I love the little games, I'm going to spin the wheel each day, I managed to get 5 gems in three of my four parks I love the fact it looks like BFS are giving new players a chance at getting limited dragons they may have missed. Could this be replacing BEB?
I may not clear my island... or at least leave it until towards the end of the event in case things change. I feel there are so many ways to collect tickets it may be worth saving it for another event.
I get the impression the plan is to hold a summer faire every year. If so, bring it on, I love it!!

There are still 10 1/2 hrs to go before the reset, but the visitor icon has the banner across it again; sure enough I found another banner-bearing wizard, but received no tickets for clicking on that one. This is going to be confusing (for me, at least) if things reset at different times. Didn't the special visitors reset at the same time as the events did, previously?
Let's see: Ability to pick whatever prize you want? Check. Abundant ways to accumulate tickets? Check. Reasonable daily cap? Check. Unlimited ceiling for collecting from some sources? Check. Opportunity to get previous event rewards? Check. Fun games within the event? Check. No need to spend gems? Check.
Best event ever? I'd say so. Please, please, please BFS if you ever make more events, make them like this. I feel like this event is the culmination of all the things BFS has learned throughout each event, and it shows.
I think that "banking" tickets for the next day will only be possible for the one action you do when you go over the daily limit. If you are close to the limit and end a competition in the event tent the tickets that are to much are put in your gift lists and you get a notice that you have reached the daily top. All following actions won't give tickets anymore till the next event day.
I really love this event. Seems to be possible to take it very relaxing.

I had not maxed out tickets and I received 25 tickets for a Gold place.

Maybe the bannered visitors could be searched several times a day. But if you have reached your daily limit you won't get tickets for them.

Remember Sandakloz? He reset 6 hours after you found him. I think this is the same deal.

Just tossing info into the mix -- I was at 649 when my coliseum ended (started before the event) and I received one ticket, nothing banked. When I then, sitting at 650, tapped the game competition, it stored 100 tickets.

I think this is a good thing. I sometimes find that searching for visitors can be quite stressful and difficult, so if we can hit the daily maximum without having to tap on the visitors, I would probably divert my energy to the other ticket-earning activities.

Oh, it does say 21st! For some reason I thought it was the 26th. That means you could cram in at least 3500 extra tickets if my plan works.
Also, I just noticed in my baby park - tickets you get from plays (name that dragon and prize wheel) can also be sent to your gifts menu if you're at the limit.
I would just like to say: BFS always say THROUGH a certain day. That means it will end precisely one day after the said day. BFS have always done this , meaning the whole event ends on the 22nd Spetember! Koala

We do not know. Some kind of community reward. My guess is that we get to keep a wishing well and use it to gift coins to players, like we do now for gems and treats.
The number is going up fairly rapidly, I think it might be the total amount of tickets collected.
Tis the total number of DV players who have made a wish, or the total number of wishes made, I'm not sure yet! Koala.

Wait a minute...did dragons always turn transparent when editing paths? I thought they remained solid when doing so. Do I have a horrible memory?
Remember when they made changes to the look of islands and to the rocks? In this bug patch and aesthetic patch, they also change drangons to be transparent too. Don't worry, your memory isn't bad at all!

Same here. Anyway, at the end of the day -- and after being bludgeoned into getting the extra Fire theme -- I had 650. That was after my dragon came out of the Colosseum and I finished visiting my 80-odd Friends (I just had to find out what the ceiling was on that activity). Turns out the "ceilings per activity" concept has gone out the window and it's now a ceiling per day. I'm not even farming treats, because by the time I found the first flag-bearer I had maxed out.
Relax, folks! We've only begun to explore the circus.
Reminds me of the magic novel "Night Circus" -- only this time in dragon mode. And instead of disappearing overnight to another venue, I suppose some prizes will disappear.
