Question: If you have the Twilight Tower, are you able to change the background during events? I know this probably sounds silly and trivial, but I have a hard time seeing when there is limited contrast. It's these blasted cataracts. As pretty as this background is, I would really like to turn it off.
You can change it, but it will also change the event background music with it.

Yes you can! As someone who isn't much of a fan of spending resources on (mostly) aesthetic changes, I can say that the TT is totally worth it. Not only do you change the background, but you change the music as well. I am a really big fan of the music in this game and I love being able to go back to the music that has played during certain events. For example, I really love the Spooky and Winter theme music. So awesome.
It also can help you when you need to breed dragons that can only be bred at certain times of the day. You can use the TT to affect the time of day.
I see a few of you talking about using tickets to buy the mid day dragon. I've been saving all of mine. I don't have the twilight tower yet.
Just curious to see what everyone is doing. Are you saving tickets or spending as you go?
I'm saving tickets till the next stage opens. Hopefully a pattern will emerge and I'll be better informed before I start making purchases. It is getting difficult though with the swirling tickets tempting me and seeing Midday Dragons in my friends' parks
Another factor to take into account is the fact that you can breed for these reward dragons on the CBC. Since that's the case, you may want to prioritise getting the Twilight Tower over the Midday dragon if you're so inclined, and breed for the Midday with someone who has it. For players who've missed out on previous event rewards like the Twilight Tower, I think this is a great way to catch up without sacrificing the chance to get the dragons as well!
If you're a player who needs the Twilight Tower, you may want to wait till the next phase or two before you claim rewards, just so that you have a good sense of how many tickets you'll be needing to get the rewards you want. I'll only need the new rewards from this phase, and according to my calculation, I should be able to earn enough to claim them all, but I'll refrain from getting the Plastic Figurines for now, since there may be other more important rewards I'll need my tickets for. BFS says the current rewards won't go away when the next phase comes, so there's no hurry to decide before then.

I used a Sun and Dawn to breed in in the EBI, but used my Twilight Tower to change it to night. Was able to breed both a Sun and a Dawn! Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

That is because you are using both a Sun and Dawn dragon as parents. When you breed two epics together, you can get either of the parents no matter what.

You shouldn't NEED to transfer the photos to your laptop before uploading. I use three file sharing sites (Dropbox, Flickr and photobucket) and I can upload a photo to all three from both my iPad and phone. Of course you may want to because it suits your workflow.

Are people betting that you could store a few thousand tickets by the 21st, and be able to activate them between then and the 28th? Or at least earn treats for them at the very end?

We think that you can turn in banked tickets at the end. Well I do anyway! And yes, you can store tickets indefinitely!

After all my confusion last night with ticket totals I've now apparently maxed out at 2586, which isn't any of the correct figures. Ah well, maybe I'll catch up tomorrow.
The max for each day is 500 (or 1,000 on a doubles day). If you missed the max one time, you cannot "make it up" the next day. So a person who has maxed out every day will have 2650 tickets. My guess is that you did not get the 1000 max yesterday, you were 64 tickets short of max. Anyway, it is a good idea (someone already mentioned it) to take a screenshot of your maxed amount each day so you don't forget your goal for the next day. Koala to you!

In an old event I turned in the gifts (stardust?) I received from a friend when they had more than the 120 gifts that was the max in that event. I think they had 140, and after I clicked on his gifts to collect them, I got the message I had hit the max for that way of collecting and the friend had 20 gifts still banked ready to go. We have no reason to think that BFS gifts will work in any other way.
Honestly, I will not be surprised if we cannot turn in the saved tickets after the 21st, so this is more of an exercise in how much we can collect. Hey, that sounds like something that might make a good competition ...

Yep, that's similar to what I'm getting at. If you have 550 tickets saved in the social list from challenges, in one big item, and you hit collect, are you left with 0 or 50? Going by what you're saying, Fletch_smf, it does sound like it'll work.
I guess the way to test would be to get close to the limit, say 499, hit collect on something and see what happens.
