So with everything everyone is getting, it told me I had earned 140, then 200, then 4 tickets. Which would show as a gift from BFS. Yet, when I look in my gifts, it just shows the 160 or so that I didn't yet collect from yesterday. Doesn't reflect the 140, 200, and 4 that it said...happen to anyone else?
As far as I can tell, these are just messages chronicling the excess tickets you earned over the weekend, not info about additional rewards.

I don't know if I like this event. I signed in collected the challenge and played the wheel. Said I reached my 500 point limit and didn't even get my final spin. So nothing else counts! Collecting,visiting,growing food, colosseum, hatching eggs....none of it even counts. It seems like they just give out a set number a day which of course won't be enough to collect all the prizes, but show you the prizes so that then you can pay for them.

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree here. I'm not sure how you can say that "of course, it won't be enough to collect all the prizes" when a) the event runs through September, and b) we have zero idea what all the prizes even are, let alone what they'll cost. BFS has had only one event so far where you *had* to spend real cash in order to get everything, and the backlash was big enough that they've been very generous about making it possible (if a little difficult, which it should be) to earn everything without being forced to spend money since then. The 500 ticket per day limit is higher than it was for regular days on any recent event. In fact, it's close to double the usual, which has been around 275 lately. If you read through this thread, you'll find there are even ways to "bank" extra tickets daily if you plan your collecting correctly.
Most of us who aren't brand new to the game have already collected enough to buy one or two of the more expensive current prizes. So, I guess I'm not seeing how this is a bad thing. My only complaint personally is being a little bored because I can be lazier than usual about gathering things for tickets...and that's not a bad thing to me either, since I hate grinding for things like harvesting treats over and over for rapidly diminishing returns. I'm certainly less bored with the game than I was this time last week.

You shouldn't NEED to transfer the photos to your laptop before uploading. I use three file sharing sites (Dropbox, Flickr and photobucket) and I can upload a photo to all three from both my iPad and phone. Of course you may want to because it suits your workflow.

Oh I know this. I download pictures to my computer and do it all the time. Its being able to do it directly from my phone/tablet that would be tres cool!

You can do it from the iOS app, though I can't remember how difficult they make it to get the URL for what you upload. It's been a year or so since I used it.
For stuff for forums--which is typically what I consider disposable, not an actual photograph I took and need to save or want credit for--I just use Imgur instead, and an app called Picup that will upload files to it with no account needed, then provides the URL so I can simply paste it. Such as what I've attached here...LOVE the new Sun island theme! 1st theme besides the winter celebration one that I've actually REALLY liked.

For the last couple of days I have just gotten a "your coin added to the total" type message in both parks.
I don't mind tossing a coin a day for a later good. I just want to know if they have shut the floodgates or not. (Hi Fletch_smf )

LOL...nope! I think it's more a complaint that there's still just not a lot to do once your park is established if you want to kill time. Dragon racing is too twitchy for me, my reflexes aren't all that good, and it gets old fast. And there's only so much decorating I can take before I remember my house needs attention more than my islands do.

Just thoughts. How does banking work? Do they take mortgage?
You can bank tickets from the Challenge Tent as long as you started it before you've hit the max for the day.
You can also bank tickets from the Games Tent, but there's a chance you miss out on extra spins/guesses since you can't play anymore after you've hit the max.
I saw on the wiki that extra event currency from past events stored in friends' gifts just disappeared once the event ended--no treats given for them.
With a but of luck you can also bank from the wheel game, i was at 490 tickets with one challenge still going, spinned the wheel got 40 and then a message that the balance is added to my account in the gift menu. Then the challenge was ready and i got another 100 tickets in the bank. It is a bit ennoying that you cannot bank the gifts as i had 160 tickets waiting and i only converted part of them. So in fact I just do teo challenges, pick up the cash in the park, sell one or two eggs, pick up the running treats, look for the frantically running girls with the banners, wait for my colosseum to finish and that s about it. A few wheel spinning and the 500 max is done.

I'm still getting 10 tickets from a friend's gift (only gem) even after the doubles ended. As I had already collected my gifts during the day, I don't think they were sent during doubles. Unless the gifts were banked and I didn't realize. But I don't think so.

It depends when the friend sent the gift. If it was sent while doubles were active you'll get 10.
