I got to 497 tickets for the day. I then went to the social menu, and collected 10 tickets (and a gem) from a friend. My total went to 500, and I got the message saying I was at my max. I noticed that that gift was down to 7, and everything was great. So I collected the rest of my gems from gifts.

There seems to be a bug where if you collect your last tickets for the day from the social menu, and hit the max, the "collect" button doesn't immediately grey out for the other banked tickets. Because of this bug I accidentally collected my 200 tickets from the challenge, and had a little panic moment. A few seconds later I got the "We've put the 200 tickets into your social gifts", and I breathed a sigh of relief.

But I have just logged back in and that 7 leftover tickets from that original gift are now gone.

So I'm not sure if when collecting the rest of my gems that I accidentally collected a few tickets I shouldn't have, because of that bug. It's not definitive, but I'm a bit wary about saying that the extra tickets above your max are kept in the social menu. I'll try again tomorrow.

Are they really gone ?
Maybe your friend has been put to the end of the friends list because there's no more gem to collect. (The list is ordered by gems) ?

I try to keep my social gift list short because otherwise my game crashes a lot. But in previous events the event currency was just deminished till the daily cap was achieved, the rest stayed in the social list.

I thought that at first micheseid, but I realised that they just came up like money will when collecting from a habitat, without any notice. So you probably did get them without realising it. And Greg, we are getting a big prize once a a certain number of wishes are made.

I experimented today. At 13 short of max I cashed in an accumulation of tickets from 1 Friend (50) to see how many would be transferred. At first, the Social Menu display for that Friend showed 37 remaining. Closing the Social Menu, I got the Max message. I collected from the Challenge and then looked back at the Social Menu. The Friend's remaining Gift tickets had been rounded down to 30.

Also, I was surprised to see that we can still have 10 total tries at Spin and NTD - I thought that they would go back to 5 when Doubles ended!

It's just the same as Kelthorn reported, above, I think.

Yep, I think that's the same behaviour. It appears that it might be tracking individual gifts, and rounding up to the nearest amount.

Yep, totally gone.

To be clear, I had already collected the gem from that gift, and only had the ticket left over. I hit collect on the 10 tickets that were there. The friend had 7 tickets listed against them after I'd collected, initially. When I closed and re-opened the social list the friend was no longer listed. I didn't hit "Clear" on the friend, either.

I will double check when the tickets reset.

Well I have two odd things to note after going into ye olde vale.
1) I got 5 pop ups about having maxed out and getting gifted tickets. Two said I got 200 from BFS, one said I got another 88, and another 2 said I had reached max. I checked my gifts and I only received 88 as I was on 200 from the previous day, and I had a total of 288 tickets from BFS.
2) I noticed that the fag bearers visited unusually. I found the red one quickly, and then five minutes later, still not giving found the purple one (well I saw it as it disappeared....) I found the red one AGAIN. And it still said I had visitors. I can't find the purple one for the life of me, but this strikes me as odd

Been working.
Not been able to catch up with all that is written here.

Just want to say, I am a little tired and confused about this DV-thing.
Yesterday it told me in four messages, the one after the other when i logged in, I had reached the limit for today - and still I could continue playing and getting tickets. Very confusing and unkind to an old man.

I now feel like one of the real oldies and don´t dare to try getting in before my time i allowed. I could loose my meal.
Now it says 04.08.23.

It was just a glitch.

They corrected it within 15-20 minutes... I think... the pop ups may have still showed up after the fix, but as you saw, people were able to collect normally yesterday

No it doesn't help the odds.
However some dragons can only be bred at night. Others only during the day.
For example, Moon can only be bred during 7PM and 7AM your local time. If you use the Twilight tower to switch park night on, then it can be bred between 7AM and 7PM. I am not sure, but I think it reverses the times so sun is affected as well. but I haven't played with it.

The only dragons that are documented to be affected like this are Sun and Moon. There is speculation however that some of the other dragons are also affected. I am pretty sure the Rifts are not. They have their own set of rules.

But it is worth having, right?
