update; re the twin receipt issue, while I was online, I received two twin fail eggs with about 30 secs between, from two diff people, I checked what they were, but both sat in my social list until I gave up on the potential sale cash ( it's a poor park, every little helps and deleted without hatching (ouch!) so maybe the key phrase is 'to open and acknowledge' (? By checking what it is or doing something w the alert)...

I'm just trying to figure out if we can only receive one twin at a time, and if that twin isn't collected or cleared from the social menu...does it mean future twins get lost in the abyss?
I've got 5 twins in my social menu right now. We can receive plenty. Just one at a time. We don't have to get them out of our social menu to receive another.

Oh thank goodness. My mind had cooked up a nightmarish scenario in which we could only get one twin at a time. So if I currently had a River twin in my social menu, and didn't clear it before someone sent me a twin Opal....bye bye Opal.
Hmmm.....that said, is it safe to get some sleep this weekend, or should I pull an all weekender.
Salamanders travel in herds? one for Kiwichris while the list was resorted yesterday, accidentally hit retry and there's another for Kiwichris! Then I realized we were on to rysaroni so I cleared that and have a 10 hr fail. I hope it's bone ... Something new and not more lava!
edit: I'm trying to follow the issue here.... If I understand it correctly, since I sent Kiwichris back to back salamanders, he should be reporting in that he only got one of them, right? And even though fletch waited for lakes to receive the opal, it was bumped by an outsider's twin? Is that what happened? One strategy might be to refrain from hatching while your partner is sleeping .....

Was just stopping by to say that I sped up the 10 hour fail, and it turned out being a Bone Dragon. Hit retry (before I saw this message) and received another 10 hour fail with Rysaroni.
Will switch over to next one on the mud list once it clears.

It's on the way, hopefully no issues... Since my coop has been tied up for 6 weeks, I will be off the list for awhile so I can get some epic twins .... But I will be back to help out later in the month. koala, everyone!
