Anyone else notice that there is no 1000 Candy cap today? I blew right by it speeding up the Hatchery and the game is still giving me Candy. Is this by design or a glitch that they will fix as soon as they realise someone messed up. I wonder what it will let me collect tonight? If the sky is the limit then I'm going to be breeding plant dragons until I have enough for a Lycan!
I have only had to wait a couple of minutes for my park to load on both my iPad2 and iPhone5S. I am religious about clearing my cache after every internet session. A built up cache can really slow down the works.

That is because we had the 150 candies to start w/. Sorry, no Lycan for you tonight

Have you blown past 1150? I thought the 150 starter candy was not included in today's cap.

Someone suggested that the cap today is actually 1000 plus the 150 we were given by BFS for the tutorial.
yep, same as the Faire. So we can get up to 100 from the Competition Ring and 40 from the Tree of Trials, double on double weekend days (which is what I'm assuming they meant by "pay attention to what happens when the moon is full"--the waxing moon in the background will be a full moon on the weekends we get double candy). My guess, anyways. Which makes us 4k closer to the 40k goal, at least it's better than the 32k than without it. Combine that with gifts from your social menu and hopefully you'll make it or be close (for all the new content anyways).
Thank you!
Just double checking, the 150 bonus doesn't count towards today's max (like the past events) right?
Right. Kept buying, hatching and selling Plant until I hit 1150 for the day. Could not pickup anymore after that.

Loving the Moon BG. Loving the bats.
I'm another one that has been collecting friends gifts without thinking about it. But with 1000 ticket cap it seems unlikely I'll be reaching that every day without collecting friends gifts. I'm not going to grind, treats, plant dragons or party hats, but running a quest in the tent for 100 Candy, means 6 or 7 of those every single day to reach capacity. This is going to be tough.
Not to mention that I have old prizes to catch up on, like the Spooky Island theme. Probably not going to get everything, so will focus on the decorations. I'm a long way from a sparkling dragonarium anyway, so a few more missing limiteds won't bother me.

Oh, and it was after 7pm when I tested for Nosferatu, but it's possible the Twilight Tower theme had over ridden the clock. I'm not sure which day themes do that. Will run some more tests soon.
So what you're saying is that in order to play a game I should compromise my privacy and security? I don't think so Tim.
Still with the news that a fix is in the works, I will wait until tomorrow to decide on deleting the game.
Well, that depends on how you manage your devices. I worked in IT, where regardless of job title, leaving your computer or phone unlocked and walking away from your desk for even 30 seconds was grounds for being fired if the VP caught you at it, because the automatic timed locking feature was not considered adequately secure. With your job on the line, you got good at locking your equipment every single time you stopped using it, without fail. Or you found yourself unemployed.
Realistically, security and privacy are not better protected by letting the device turn itself off several minutes after you've stopped using it and wandered off. And I see people do this ALL the time. (It's a huge waste of battery too.) The only way locking a device is truly effective is if you get in the habit of turning that lock yourself by putting the device to sleep manually, every single time you're done with it. There's a reason iPhones & iPads still have a physical sleep/off button; it's faster and more secure than waiting for Auto Lock to work.
I know some people find it more convenient, but it's not truly more secure than good habits are, and for many people, it's actually less so because they get careless about leaving unlocked devices around during those vulnerable few minutes before the software lock kicks in. If you're not the type to be that careless anyway, then really, you don't need Auto Lock, because it's easy enough to hit that off switch. And I personally find that having Auto Lock on is a huge nuisance when it engages while I'm still actually waiting for something to finish.
Regarding DV, hopefully the fix is up and running very quickly, because they're definitely ticking people off with this one.
I too spent a lifetime in IT. Actually it felt like several. The advantage of autolock is that manual lock is subject to human error. Autolock is a backup procedure and independent of me getting distracted.
My iPad is set to lock instantly when I shut the lid. the time out is longer on it as I use it for browsing. My iPhone is set to the shortest possible delay. 5 minutes I think. Actually I think there is a 1 minute delay. But that is too short for most things loading. Not just DV. And the phone is either in my hand or in my pocket. The lock is in case of pickpockets and if I don't remember to lock manually. Hopefully they won't get it within the couple of minutes it is still active and in my pocket. I very rarely put it in my pocket instantly hence only a couple of minutes.

So how many pumpkins can we collect/find per day? I found 12 earlier and the prompt was gone from the visiting park girl so I thought that was it for today. But I just stumbled across more!!

Aren't the event quests limited to 5 per day? It says that when you tap Info on the competition ring, but I'm not sure if that's true.

I am home and have updated the Spreadsheet to end on the 9th. The link is in my signature and one of the first two posts of this thread.
It says it runs through november 8th in tent help menu. Maybe i'm misinterpreting and that is reflected in spreadsheet ( ie. end of 8th is 9th?). I tried opening spreadsheet to check but it just hung there.

Yes. Challenge tent is. So 500 max per day. Even that takes a lot of careful timing to pull off the max per day.

Thank you, Fletch. I am looking forward to the results of your tests.
