Decorations & Obstacles New decorations become available after you have levelled up and explored different locations. Obstacles become available as decorations after you have cleared them from your park. You earn XP equivalent to half the Cost of the Decoration.

You might wonder what need witches and wizards have for mailboxes, but you'd be surprised at how many amateur scroll-sending spells go awry. Much easier to drop things in here and let the mailbox work its own magic.
Level 3
An eternal spell of lighting keeps this lightest aglow at all times. Not that your park really needs any extra light - someone seems to have cast an eternal spell of lighting on the sun, too.
Level 3
While most windmills harness the power of the wind, this windmill is magically charmed to CREATE wind. Talk about renewable energy!
Level 3
Don't get too excited; this bridge is purely decorative. Your visitors will still have to magic their way across rivers and gaps. Still, it's a pretty snazzy bridge to look at.
Level 3
A great spot to sit back, kick up your feet, and enjoy the sights and sounds of your awesome park. You've earned it.

Buildings There are a few buildings in use in your Dragonvale World park. Some of them are free for use immediately, like the pantry, breeding cave and hatchery, others are there but cannot be accessed until you reach a certain level, and still others must be purchased before you can use them.
As you progress through the game your park becomes expandable. You may purchase extra land and clear it of obstacles to make room for more habitats and decorations.
Expansions and Upgrades do not earn XP. The initial purchase of a building or farm plot earns XP at half the purchase amount.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but because it's about expansions I'll post it here.. Read the following as a whine / plea to BFS ;-)
Why oh why is expanding the hatchery, snackery(!) and breeding cave so darn expensive?! 750 gems is beyond absurd as far as I'm concerned, especially with the current 'gem drop' rate. I am NOT doing it, but it's frustrating nonetheless. Dang!
BFS needs to come up with additional gem distribution. How about re-introducing the challenges and have some of the challenges lead to earning five gems a day max. Aye?

Some nice ideas! All I would say that this game is in the development stages, so many aspects of gameplay are quite likely very unbalanced at the moment. Hopefully this will change.
No longer active on DragonVale! *briefly back online*
Couldn't really find this info on google, maybe the game is too new?
Is there no storage building for dragons like in the original game? Seems silly not to have one. Can you possibly have 1 of each (normal & enchanted) dragon in the game without storage?
Also is there no option to turn dragons into Egg Pedestals or is that a feature for a higher level?

No storage building offered as of yet, but we are ever hopeful. 😀
When the timer ends for any egg, click on it but do not start tapping it. Instead in the lower left corner you will see 'Display.' Click on that and it will allow you to accept the egg as a pedestal intead of hatching it into a dragon.

Shoot Didn't even notice that lol Could have had so many of them by now. Oh well, thanks so much for the help

No kidding! I had no idea! D'oh!
Also, I keep reading about cavern things. What is this cavern? Did I overlook something else?
First off, I've asked a couple questions before and I've appreciated the answers! Thanks much!
Are the special visitors turned off right now? I was getting them a couple times a day up until... it might be weeks at this point. For a while I was getting none, now I only get the Exploration Extravaganza guy who shows up. Did they turn those off, or does my park have to be laid out a particular way for them to show up?

Hey there,
Yeah, I'm not sure. I haven't looked into this too much since the last update. They may have gotten rid of them, or changed them around. Will do some investigating when I have a minute.

If you visit someone else's park and then come back to yours, you should see visitors again. I do this 2 or 3 times a day and I usually see 3 visitors with DC and maybe the tiger with a gem.

Aw, that stinks. I don't have anyone to visit since I don't have a Facebook account to attach. There's not a visit random person button im missing, is there?
