Hi all, I don't know if this is the place for this question but it seems the closet topic. Am I wrong or are the weekend events almost impossible to do? Last weekend it was food and I used a lot of gems to get to the first goal and got the Dragoncash but the second goal was impossible unless I spent a lot of real cash. This weekend is Dragoncash and I thought, awesome I can do that but then I realized the only dragon cash that counted was what was collected from habitats. Thought I would try any way and just made it to the second goal and got the gems but the third goal is impossible in the one day left. 1st goal - around 650,000 2nd goal - 1,920,000 Impossible 3rd goal 6,000,000!!!! I've decided to just ignore these frustrating events and just have fun breeding for dragons. The dragons and park are very fun and beautiful to look at. Just wondered if I was missing something or these events that are personalized to the park do make things just out of reach. I'm one who believes in supporting those who work to keep dragonvale world so fun and I will keep buying gems every few months. I admit though that I am finding the personalized to the individual park settings for the cost of things like clearing items, food, and even the arcane ship orders rather more discouraging than fun. I may just stick to the original dragonvale if this DV World keeps getting harder to do anything.
Siiiigh sorry for whining. Just a little discouraged when I realized I had spent so much time on this weekend event just to discover in the last day it is impossible.
Next time, let your Epic Dragon Habitats collect up as much dragoncash as possible, then collect them the moment the event starts.
Notice that a level 20 unenchanted Rainbow Dragon generates 3150 pr hour. That's 75600 per day, per dragon. 3 of them in one habitat would mean 226800 per day, taking about 4.4 days to reach max capacity. You will have to do the math for other epics or if they're not level 20.
Its good to get prepared for this event soon after the food event finishes for rainbows, and during the event for other epics (assuming you had 3 in each habitat at level 20). Otherwise, do the math
This way, you can get a large head start and possibly being able to complete the first two rewards on day one (this is assuming you are at the very high levels as the requirements increase as you level up)
Same goes with saving up food for the food event after a breeding event.

The Backflip help site now has a DragonVale World section. Probably a sign that it's launching soon.
Interestingly, they mention "enhanced exploration" and "strong community elements". A sign of things and updates to come? Because if they're talking about the game right now, they're "enhancing" the truth a bit.
I mean, the guild system isn't even functional right now.

I have a strong suspicion that they might release it this week for the anniversary. The game is not ready to go, in my opinion. The cost to earnings ratio is still way out of whack. As you said, the guild system isn't working. Breeding seems very random and how to get enchanted dragons is a total mystery. The airship asks way too much in dragon treats when you're in the low stages of the game. The bank just plain stinks. Unless there's another huge overhall, I don't see how they could release it any time soon.

Well, I'm now level 50. I gotta say, the Airship becomes really awesome once you can reliably fill it with a complete collection and the massive treat churn. So much DragonCash.
I bought the last expansion a couple days ago and I'm already at 25 million again.
Not sure if anyone has figured out the spells? Cannot find a single bit of info on how they work and what they are for. Anyone here know?
Also I got a new challenge today. It's for collecting dragon cash from habitats (which are x2 for the duration of challenge). Anyone else get this? The previous one was about feeding dragons which took the whole 2 days 12 hours to get step 1 done. Seems like these challenges are made to be impossible to get. Maybe this is just a test for them to see how much/far people can get in them.
Since I diligently commented on and complained about every event, we now have a complete picture of the "personal event" rotation. Not every park gets the same event at the same time, but it seems that the order is always the same. Meaning if you got the double food quest, you will get the double DragonCash quest for your next event.
Feed X treats; treat yield from farm plots is doubled
Collect X DragonCash from habitats; cash collection from habitats is doubled
Complete X entire Airship orders; XP from the Airship is doubled

They'll probably add more eventually.
Mr. Bones, Thanks for this! And steady on the salt!
So the spells, how can I see what they can do? The middle ones are categorized "body", the left ones "breath", and the right ones "Aura". Is it just visuable effekts?
And another question: is it normal that Cinder Dragon takes a lot of tries? I got "Petroglyph" dragon, that I thougt was more rare than cinder dragon? o.O And yes, I am breeding dragons, that together have fire, earth and grass. (fire/earth + grass)
Anyone got any hot tips for what to do with your DragonCash when you're hitting the limit and can't grow food fast enough to keep up?
One obvious solution would be to buy artifacts since they don't need storage space, but unfortunately there's never any on the market anymore.
All of your habitats at max lvl? The "bank" at max lvl? Maybe some dekorations? you can sell them for half the price, so maybe a way to hold money outside the bank. Better to save half, than none
Oh man I just FIGURED SOMETHING OUT. Thanks for the suggestion, mistymiss - I think that will be my second port of call when I run out of space for this:
The only downside is that unlocking all your market slots has a pretty hefty gem price.

Develop a second park, and transfer the money by using Gulch Artifacts. Sell them to the park for minimum price, then resell them to your main park at max price.
Great for gathering additional items for the airships.

Wow, great ideas all around. This strikes me as somewhat high-effort though. Parks can't store that much DC or gather the good stuff without the required dragons and park level.
The final bank upgrade requires level 27, which is a tall order for a secondary park.
