Can you please explain how those numbers relate to the match game? EDIT : I worked it out. The numbers 1,2,3,etc correspond to card values. So in this particular case, 1 is 3 roses, 2 is 7 roses, 3 is 50 roses, etc. You need to choose pairs of the same numbers in order to not lose a turn.
It would be cool to see a few more grids - and to work out if they are random or if there is a fixed set.

Is today's cap 1000 plus the 530 we were given in the tutorial? (1530)
Or a flat 1000 for the day?
As I am already at 1294 roses, i go from the point of view that today s cap will be 1530. And tomottow we will be back at the usual 1000 limit.
The roses you get in the tutorial for the matching game first pick count toward your limit, so you only get 500 for the tutorial, not 530. I reached cap today as soon as I hit 1500.
So. Banking. I guess the best thing is to play the matching game, save the 50 roses match for last, and then go over the limit with that to bank an extra +49.

How exactly do roses from the matching game get added to our total? Does the total increase each match made, or does the game wait until the matching game is over (either by matching all cards, running out of turns, or mismatching a set) to add the roses to your total? In other words, is it possible to enter the matching game while close to the limit, then complete the matches and thus add some 130 or so roses to the bank?
Also, it seems that each gift comes with 25 roses.

So I tried to get a quick overview if it is possible to get all the prizes that I want. What I want is the Habitat (1995), the Serenity(3270), the Ire(4300), the Delight(5495) and the Melancholy(5495) Alltogether those are 20555 roses. I also have to buy two little pedestals to unlock the fourth tier which puts me to an amount of 21070 roses necessary.
The event lasts for 18 days and I expect two double weekends of three days which will lead to 24500 roses. Even with only three double days it would be possible to buy my wanted things. Banked roses and eventually extra gifts on top
But there will very probably be a limited dragon that is breedable but only with a short time of availability. This might cost roses too.
All in all it looks more promissing than the iceberry event to me.
Short question : can we leave the memory-game inmidst without losing points ?
And at last a warning : maybe tomorrow will be the start of the first double weekend.

If the match game has the potential to put you over the limit and bank, then yes, I would recommend this if possible. Its a little more tricky than just saving a wheel spin, but do-able.

When I played the matching game, I quickly sketched a grid on a piece of paper, then wrote in the values of the cards I turned over as I played - that way all errors can be avoided.

I tested the matching game on a second account just now. Matched 2 chocolates worth 20 and closed it(you get 20 total, not the sum x2 of 40). You get the points immediately upon exiting the match. I closed down Dragonvale and restarted the app. When I opened the memory game, it had the 2 chocolates showing and had the game in progress. The hidden cards did not change either, I opened ones I had already checked incorrectly prior to closing the app, and they were the same. Seems progress is saved.

Are you sure you had not run out of turns? I made some mistakes but the game kept letting me continue try matches until my 10 tries were done.

This is definite. They announced in the update there would be a limited dragon as part of the event. We do not know if it will be Epic or not.

Wait... Do you have all 4 tiers of prizes already unlocked? You have a prize list? Is that how you already know how many roses you need?

I adore the new app icon! However, with this fever I've got, I started hallucinating a baby fire dragon dancing the tango with a blue fire. Meanwhile, the match game is great if you have any brain cells....the flu has taken all of mine, so I sat there staring at it for a while & then went back to the wheel. LOL

Any one else having problems getting in? I played when it first started and now it kicks me off every time before it even starts trying to open. I have force closed and shut down iPad and done everything I can think of.

Meanwhile, the match game is great if you have any brain cells....the flu has taken all of mine, so I sat there staring at it for a while & then went back to the wheel. LOL
