Regards from the North and the one who' s got nothing ... this far. Nothing on 6 platforms ..
Using what I found here - somewhere:
"Serenity : Dazzling, Andromedan or Flicker Ire : Lace (contributes the same elements) Melancholy : Verglace (contributes the same elements) Delight : Ornamental (contributes the same elements)"
So sad ..
New posting:
At last I think I got one? Of course not in my platform no 1 - the. "Toppe1 och ff" Another day. ....
So the limited time dragon has got to be released this weekend, doesn't it? I'm going to guess that since it was listed in the app update as: "...and a limited time surprise dragon" that it literally is going to be a Surprise Dragon. Wagers anyone?
Well I guess I might as well post my tail of woe, so this is offically a whining post. I HAD been attempting to get an Ire via Lace/Ire in the co-op cave. I bred 176 times with no success and I don't want to say how many gems I wasted. I finally gave up and went for Serenity using Andromedan/Serenity. I did get one after 38 attempts. They're supposed to have the same breeding odds according to the Sandbox. If the probability of getting the Ire was 5% like the Sandbox predicted I wonder what the odds are that I wouldn't get a single one in 176 attempts. Someone good at statistics could figure it out. Anyone want to tell me how unlucky I was?
Ok, I looked it up myself and it looks like the odds are 1 in 8330 that I'd get fail 176 times in a row. Guess I should have given it another 100 tries. Then the odds of not getting one would have been 1 in 1.4 million. Surely I might have gotten one by that time!

Those would be the approximate percentages if you were breeding in your own park. Co-op has much lower odds for epic cloning. It's about 1% usually.
Given a 1% chance, the probability of failing 176 rolls is (99/100)^176, or 17%.
If it was actually 5%, failing 176 rolls would be a 0.01% chance.

I've actually not had great results no matter how I state things. However, as a mother of 8, I have had to use the phrase "Don't whine" way too often. I usually try instead to let others know that they are not alone in their lack of success. That someone is hoping for their success. I guess it is true that "misery loves company." Although I feel bad that others are having trouble, it is encouraging to know that I am not alone.
I guess it's about time to plan the weekend strategy for spending roses and greeting the new arrival! I expect the new dragon to cost about 6,750 roses since every other surprise dragon has taken the weekend's earnings and a little over. So 3 days of doubles and a little of the stash has been the pattern as far as I can tell with Tidal and Muse. I'm hoping to buy the last two dragons and the limited dragon with earnings and pick up the 2nd aura habitat with banked roses. It'll be tight and in a couple of parks Ire will have to be bred later. Anyone else cooking up a good plan?

If it's like every other limited event dragon, it will be breedable with a normal combo. So I plan on just doing that.

I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse. Either way it's pretty lousy! I feel another whine coming on!

Wow. There is no way I could have 176 consecutive failed attempts without wanting to hang myself! You should be given something as a consolation!

Personally, I have not yet cooked up a good plan, so thank you very much for sharing yours! I do know that I was unhappy to have missed out on the lace dragon in the last event. The deadline for purchase fell somewhere around the time I was getting the house ready for the family to come over for Christmas dinner, or the next day and I slept through it....but then by some miracle, I bred a lace at the very last minute! So, your plan to purchase most of the event dragons seems prudent. Thank you for your calculations and good memory!

With those "breeding" numbers, the odds of you NOT having to say "Don't whine" at least 25 times during the remainder of this event are, in my mathematic judgment and personal experience, about as good as the odds Mr Bones described above or the pigs flying bit. -- Mom of 3.

I don't get to use that phrase very often anymore, my baby will graduate from high school this year, and my grandchildren all live at least 2 hours away. However, I have used it enough to never, ever forget it!

That's the way I feel! Yo! BFS, how about some luvin' charity my way huh? (I'll keep an eye out for those pigs flying.)
