So what are people's thoughts on breeding the Olympus event epics after the event ends. Will we still be able to breed them via the co-op breeding cave? Its getting to the crunch end of the event to sort out what one can buy with all these saved rings!

Yeah! I finally got Valor in coop! Thank you, Buffy, for keeping your dragons up for so long! I actually managed to breed every single Olympus dragon except for Thunderbolt (chosen as my gift) and Dawnbringer (had to purchase that bugger with rings). Now I'm really looking forward to spending my stash of rings.
Has anyone figured out what the ring to treat ratio is going to be? I've heard a 1:5 ring to treat, but if so, for the lot of us that have high level dragons, that's really not a lot. I will have almost 30k rings normally and another almost 20k in gifts and if the ratio is 1:5, than that's about 250k. That's really not that much. The only things I have left to buy with rings are the pedestals and small trinkets. I was successful in either breeding all the new dragons or already bought with rings earlier, to include aura, ornamental, and chrysalis.
Thank you nco99 for the twin squall. I was trying for a second. Got the timer just before I got the twin message. Awesome. Double ring weekend. No new dragon today. Usually not released on weekends, so, maybe Monday! Sbf seems to think something is coming. Then again, he could be looking toward Halloween. This event has been fun and exciting. Love all the new dragons and the decorations too. Great event.
Ive been breeding Magnetics and Sandstorms, so as not to clog up the breeding sites, and nursery, while earnestly attempting a Squall clone on the coop. Hope this 3 day dragon has favorable breeding scores,, especially if the Squall fizzles out.
I really enjoyed this event. I maxed out every day, only missing the one where I fell asleep on the game and awoke 10 mins after the reset hour. And yes, the Faire event drags on a bit towards the end, but now you go back and play every game, ride every ride again, or just your favorites. the faire ends much like summer does, when you cant wait for fall, that crispness in the air, send the kids away for a few hours to school, just to rest and catch up, from everything, and that long hot summer
Wait....pardon me if i'm late to the party, but how can you breed the house dragons? I'm dying for a thunderbolt but I don't have one of my own.
First, let me clarify that Thunderbolt is not a house dragon. The house dragons are Blazing Gale, Hidden Bolt, Icy Torrent, Iron Blossom and Mountain Sun. Other than Iron Blossom, the house dragons can only be bred with their own kind. So you'd have to buy a Hidden Bolt with rings then breed it in the coop with another Hidden Bolt to get a clone or pedestal.
Thunderbolt IS breedable. You can follow this link www.2084.org/dragonvale/breeding-sandbox/ click on the Combo Finder tab at the top and select Thunderbolt from the drop down menu. It will tell you how many combinations there are for breeding. Pick one you like and find a friend with a willing Thunderbolt in the coop to breed with.

I'm glad the event is almost over and very happy with how much I managed to get: monument & relic of the epics, magical greenhouse, twilight tower, weather station, omnitat, lost island of Olympus, Olympus reward habitat, spooky habitat, aura habitat, meridiem habitat and some previously released dragons I didn't have.
From the new event dragons I only got Valor from the gold level Olympus dragons and three of the house dragons and bred Fates and Dawnbringer.
I will still have about 14 000 rings to use at the end. Will most likely get Surprise and at least one pylon. Maybe Duskwing.
In any case, I'm super pleased with gaining all those buildings as a new player!
I really want to spend my rings but if a new dragon comes tomorrow, I won't be able to get my rings out of my bank correct? Von- I think I may go with the greenhouse. And no, my treat farms are not in storage. Isn't that odd?
EuroKnuter, the whine gods heard me! Yesterday for the sworn last time I hit retry and I'm getting a Herald! (Hope it's twins). Of course by that time I'd already spent on everything else there was and was getting ready to buy one, and now there's no need. I'll be sparking shortly before BEB and the anniversary dragon
Drive-by sanity check for a comparative newbie here, if people would be so kind...
So far only bought whatever limited dragons escaped my caves and the spooky/meridiem habitats (looked neat, were cheap, and I vaguely recall miscalculating and finding myself short a habitat slot for something-or-other and hey instant build). Only picked the game up maybe a month or so before the tournament started so my inventory of Useful Stuff consists of zip, zilch, and nada. Quick skimming of the prizes and I think I've got a few prioritized groups - do they make sense to the veterans?
High - Monument of the Epics, Relic of the Epics, Twilight Tower, Magical Greenhouse Medium - Olympus Reward Habitat x2, Lost Island of Olympus, Omnitat Low - dragons, Goody's Treatery (the only reason I connected my game to my FB account [that I don't really want in the first place] was for account protection, I've got precisely one friend who shows up and by the looks of it I'm not sure he got past the intro; yes I know I'm crippling my co-op cave) Low-but-want-anyhow - Spooky Theme, Wonderland Theme, Weather Station Low - pretty much everything else (only got so many rings and I tend to be lazy about decorating stuff anyhow)...
I've got enough to get everything listed in High with plenty to spare. Can get everything in Medium (I think) but it would burn through most of what would be left over after High. Any suggestions/comments/something-or-others? Going to give things a look-over tomorrow, when I'm not half-asleep, with regards to the expired habitat/dragon prizes - won't be able to get all of any of them (at least not without giving up other stuff) but gotta' start somewhere. This game's got rather quirky breeding rules though - the ornamental/aura dragons you can only breed what you've got access to (yours/co-op) but with chrysalis A+B=C and if you also have either D/E you can eventually get E/D yes? Seems to suggest that regardless of looks chrysalis is the best investment since I could (eventually...) get 2/5 for free...

I'm more of a journeyman as opposed to a veteran, but I'm answering anyway. Your list is similar to mine, except I'm passing on the twilight tower. For me it's a nice to have. It only affects a few of the dragons breeding wise, and there is a work around (but I really do like the Twilight tower and weather station effects, maybe someday).
Like you I was resistant to add friends. But they crept in over time, and they do make breeding easier. Facebook players are in the minority around here. You can pm me if you want to try the friend thing.

Unlike some, I am not a veteran, I have travelled the path to level 65 and made many mistakes, so I will pass a few things on.
High Priority - Relic of Epics, Omnitats - plural, Greenhouse, Spooky Habitat, Meridian Habitat. Olympus Reward Medium - 3rd Omnitat, 2nd Oly Reward, Lost Oly Island, Twighlight Tower, Lower - Weather Station, Treatery, Decorations and Themes.
The Monument of the Epics is good for higher level players, but not a priority for earlier levels. It takes a LOT of treats to level dragons to 20 - in the millions.
All Epics can be bred in the coop, most can be cloned by breeding your epic with a target one, this does include the Chrysalis, Aura and Ornamental. Chrysalis also has the quirky breeding too. Snowflakes (available during Winter event) and Monoliths (Easter event) can only be bred like and like, ie SnowflakeA + SnowflakeB= Snowflake A,B,C,D or E.
