I realize you're probably only looking at the brand new dragons, but the new to me Victory and the gem/crystal dragons made for some very frantic breeding.
I need help... So should I collect the extra thousand rings today I have stored in my gifts? Is it a thousand a day you can collect? Will it only take a thousand if I have more stored gor that friend? Thanks! 😍
It is one thousand a day, like the regular cap. Yes it will only take one thousand if you have more stored from a friend, and it will move the remainder from that friend to the backflip gift/bank. Just a warning, i took from a gift that was over 1,000 rings and it seemed like the extra over the thousand disappeared. After i restarted the game, however, it showed up in my backflip gift/bank. So dont panic if this happens!
Mine disappeared and stayed disappeared. Didn't notice it yesterday, but the friend I collected from today I had well over the 1000 rings, hit collect, and now th rest are gone. Restarted the game, and still OT there. 😡 I have everything I want I think, unless I decide to buy the pylons, so maybe I just won't collect any more rings...

Same, for one of my baby parks. I just sent BF an email, I'm sure they'll fix it, they're good about that sort of thing! If you haven't already, just send them a support email to let them know about the problem.

I clicked collect on someone who had sent me over 2k rings and the Backflip total didn't go up, but the total for someone else who *definitely* hadn't sent me 2k rings, is now over 2k.

Maybe this time around they are going to the BFS bank. I didn't read the pop up that came when I collected the rings. And my BFS balance does seem higher than it was...🤔

Hrms. IT turns out to be difficult to remember to collect my "1000 rings a day" from the Social list now that I'm assured of getting all the dragons.
Hopefully it will at least turn into food at the end.
Yup, if you've made all the ring purchases you intend to (or you have enough rings in your wallet to afford everything you want but you're holding off to try to breed before spending), then you don't need to claim your 1000 per day. All your banked rings will convert to food at the same rate regardless of location (or at least it has always been so)

I was very careful to keep track today and I got exactly 1/2 of the rings I was over placed in the BFS bank. It tossed me out when I got to my 1000 rings and when I went back in that is what had happened. So I powered off and reconnected to see if I would get the missing half back, but no luck. i have no idea if that has been happening right along because I only knew that some rings were being placed in the BFS bank, I neglected to keep an accurate count, I just trusted if some went in, then all would go. But that wasn't the case for me. I am wondering if I should just stop trying to collect rings and just take it all as food. I know BFS is really busy so who knows if they will get around to getting back to me before the event is over and I would have to keep emailing them and adding to the count of missing rings each time I tried to collect. Seems like an iffy thing.
At the end do you just get food or does BFS also tell you how many rings they are cashing in so I can keep track and see if I am still only getting half the rings cashed in?
I was able collect 1,000 rings when the game reset, no hiccup. Overage rings remained in the friend's acct.
Since yesterday, ALL my friends' pictures have been replaced w/ Norgard's icon. I have not updated to the latest iOS, so I am not sure if it has anything to do /w GC.
And I didn't know that I could purchase a 2nd house dragon once I have one already.

I see how it is working now...
When you collect the rings, while you are still in your friends window, they are still in the friend's gift line. Exit out of that, go back in, and they have 'disappeared'. Exit DV, go back in, and they show up in your BFS gift line. So nothing lost, but it is working differently this time.

Got the message below from BF today when i asked them if i had lost the surplus banked rings (those in my social menu that were above the allowed 1000 per day). Any above the allowed 1000 are added to our BF stash rather than staying w/the friend that gave them to us. Hope this is clear...it surely relieved me ...so, once you exit the game & then go back in again you will see the surplus rings (those that were left after the 1000) are placed into our banked BF stash.

how do we even GET the rings? we go to another friends park? im so confused....
The rings are from the Arcane Pentournament that just ended.You can no longer earn new rings, but if you have rings banked - which means in your gifts page in the social menu - you can press the collect button for that line and up to 1000 each day will move to your total rings balance.
Edited to add that this is only true for 4 more days at which time all leftover banked rings become treats.

Well that's not how it worked for me. I only received one half of the rings that were left over from the 1000 rings I collected today. It's not a surprise to me that it isn't added immediately, I expected that I would need to reload, what was a surprise is that I only received one half of the rings that were left over. Maybe that won't happen to anyone else, but just in case keep an eye on the numbers.

Yup, and that *didn't* happen to me either, some of them got moved over to another friends total.
