It is interesting to see how frequently my 7 gem friends actually gifted me during this event. I'm only listed the top 2 names in each category so as not to embarrass anyone :-) Also note that the number of rings is affected by how often my gem friends used my dragons in the Arcane Arena. So here are the number of rings received.
I'm so sad! I thought we had till the 14th till it ended abd didn't claim my free dragons from the gifts and now they are gone... I'm literally sick to my stomach. 😳
If you picked out the ones you wanted, they should be in your gifts menu still waiting to be claimed. If you hadn't picked out the ones you wanted, I dunno.... you could send a note to BFS to see if they can help you.
I need help... So should I collect the extra thousand rings today I have stored in my gifts? Is it a thousand a day you can collect? Will it only take a thousand if I have more stored gor that friend? Thanks! 😍
Yes... collect your thousand today. If the friend you collect from gifted you more than 1000, the amount over todays 1000 maximum will be added into your BFS total. That said... you may need to log out of Dragonvale and back in again to see the new total for your new BFS total (I have to do that for my account). I hope this makes sense.

Interestingly, my top 7 isn't my 7 gem friends. 2 of them are randoms that I don't send anything to, and the very best one with 5000 rings gifted... is myself on a second account.
I pretty much got everything I wanted. I missed out on Trimera, but other than that I have at least one of every dragon. I have all the other useful things, and even picked up the weather station and the twilight tower. I will have close to 35000 rings to pick up some stuff. I still have another 34000 that will be converted into treats, so i can afford to make some purchases with the rings I have. I don't want to buy dragons I already have so I'm thinking it might be fun to pick up some decorations. I haven't paid much attention to that aspect of the game at all, not just in this event, but pretty much all events to date. My focus has been on acquiring every dragon I can and all the stuff that has practical value. But I'm thinking it might be fun to branch out a little. Do some decorating. What are the best decorations available from this event? I appreciate any feedback.

The Pylons are definitely worth it (well apart from the Plant one), I also picked up the Mushroom and Bouncy thing, though that was more to be a completionist
I think this was the best event so far, even though Christmas is my favorite holiday. I managed to get everything this event. I either had the Decor and dragons from other events or managed to breed all the Olympic dragons from this event. I managed to breed 2+1, 2 of each plus egg. That feat was very exciting for me. The one that stressed me out the most meaning I thought I was going to have to buy was the Herald. Boy was he hard for me to get. I am glad this event is done, but looking forward to the Halloween event. 😀

If we were rationed during the game I can understand, but now. We have worked, whined and done all sorts of suffering - Why do BFS have to be that cruel or even .....
Have more than 13 000 to spend ... Just old Faire is missing. And 8 peds.
After that I will go for more twineggs.
To build strength of character, as they can't get around all of us regularly enough to do the beating with birch twigs in the snow thing, which I am sure you know ALL about Olds, because we dragon park keepers need to be resolute upright and persistent folk to manage our charges well, deal with wizzlings who sneak into parks after dark, and gently separate the scrappy witch/wizard groups when they bicker over which treats work best for virility fecundity and long flaming capacity..... Ah event over, back to whimsy
Now I learned some new words I never heard before. This gives life meaning - and I am serious.
About the birch twigs and the "snow thing" - I suppose you mean bathing in a bastu (sauna); the word sauna is Finnish. In Swedish - which is one of the Scandinavian languages - we say bastu, meaning badstuga = bath cottage. The real ones was of course without windows, totaly claustrofobic.
By the way, perhaps you all didn't know how much we have in common, in the language we speak ..

Thankyou for the link Olds, what surprised me, was the similarity of several words to slang Scots words I realise that many Highlanders, particularly from the East cost of Scotland, have Norse ancestry, mixed with Pict and sometimes Celt My ancestry is the West Highlands, so perhaps less Norse? and a mix of Celt and Pict; most of my relatives have 'thrown' to the Norse and Celtic ( tall, fair hair or brown) , me, I've thrown to the wee Pictish folk, with red hair from the Celts I'm the Shetland pony among warhorses
oh, and the 'snow thing' not so much the wonderful bastu, more the heart stopping plunge into the water through the hole cut in the ice outside

oldsmol, they forgot Jarnsida = Ironsides. Vulgarly known as a defunct TV police series, it was the name of a lawbook bound in iron covers that came to determine the English legal system, at least under Danelaw.
All in all I'm happy now. I got my second Stygian and Valor in my breeding sites. Now if only Dawnbringer would pop in the coop island...
if if you both like I can put my very virile Thunderbolt twin up. He has got me another 3 or 4 twins. This way you can try to get one before the event truly ends and hopefully save your rings.
Thanks for the offer. If I do get lucky, I will just purchase a different dragon. Give me till tomorrow morning, my CBC is occupied at the moment. We are friend already, so I am good to go.
lovejoanne - and I got lucky, Hurrah! Your Thurbolt is toxic! Thanks a bunch.

Apparently I miscalculated -- I can't get both a 2nd Olympus Reward habitat and a 3rd Omnitat. So I think I'm going for the Omnitat - will fit better on one of my Islands.
I didn't use my wish -- not sure what I'm saving it for. Maybe it will come in handy for a future event.

All gems spoken for but open to CoOp breeding and Party Hats!

Whooooo-hooooo, so happy for you. He seems to be a furtile one, spreading his Thunderbolt DNA everywhere.

Oh yes. But one has to be careful ☺️
Jarnsida = ironside (with s it's plural)
Järnsidor = ironsides
In ancient swedish iärn, danish jærn (jern), norwegian jern, islandic iarn (eárn), járn, jarn, isarn, in gotic eisarn, ancient saxon. isarn, aincient Hochdeutsch isa(r)n, german eisen, ancient english īsern, īren, english iron; The last - Iron is borrowed from keltic languages.
My herald was a busy dragon these last few weeks. TONS of notifications about twins. Tonight's notification that sweetnjmom 's "little man" got a twin Herald was by far the happiest for me A great ending to a very enjoyable event for my family!
My son (now age 7) was thrilled -- he didn't max out and didn't get every prize, but thanks to you he's getting a Herald (he chose a Valor for the day 60 reward).
I'm glad the event was enjoyable for you and your family. Same here.
My "little man" was most excited to be able to get the Twilight Tower and Weather Station -- to him more important than dragons.
Those were the first prizes that my young man purchased :-)
