Exactly the same for me. But I get the problem regularly so I need to restart my phone (iPhone 6s+) a couple of times per day .
EDIT: I'm on iOS 9.3.5 which is supposed to have fixed the 'white screen' bug. Sigh.

As for myself, I have yet to update to iOS 9.3.5, but if it is supposed to fix the 'white screen' bug then I just might update later today. The first time I encounter the bug was just a few days ago...did you encounter the bug earlier than I?
On another note, I also am dealing with the local park or Game Center park question just about every time I enter DV. I think I remember reading that this issue was solved by deleting the DV app and then reinstalling it. Is this correct (for any of you reading that are in the know)? Admittedly, however, I am a little worried to delete the DV app at the moment given the current issues with Game Center.
I've had the local park thing happen twice over the years, both times when I was in a weak wifi situation and had network errors during the load phase. Local park creation seems to be the default behavior if DV can't find your park on the network. Once a local park has been created and a network park is found, then DV does the "right" thing and prompts you to choose which one to use every time you restart. Indeed, deleting the app and starting fresh fixes the problem

I'm seriously angst-ing over what to spend my last 29000 rings on!!! Twighlight tower, weather station, 3rd omni., 2nd Olympus habitat....or just be reckless and buy a bunch of dragons😛 or maybe an island theme just cuz I like it lol. Do the weather station and twilight tower come up often as prizes??? Cuz those I feel I least want, but know they are crazy expensive in gems....

I get that question every time I log in now. It went away for a little while but then came back. Not sure the root cause.
Me too. Started over the weekend, then wouldn't log in at all. IF I turn off Ipad and restart it opens ok, but really annoying doing this every time I want to check my dragons

If I recall correctly, they have been prizes in the last several events (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
I'd probably go with habitats that don't count against your count first, then the Omnitat, then a bunch of dragons. Because, hey...the game is really all about dragons. The Weather Station and Twilight Tower, while fun to play around with, don't serve a ton of purpose other than to allow you to turn on weather and light effects that you may love and want to see all the time or turn off something that drives you batty.
I have serious koala issues, so I used most of my rings to buy all the new Olympus dragons (Herald, Valor, et al) since I couldn't breed them to save my life, all the other house dragons except Iron Blossom, which I actually bred (because I'm a complete-ist). Then I bought the Lost Oly Island and all the reward and Omni- habitats I could in order to have a place to put all my new dragons. Now I have about 4K left and I think I'm going to let that go to food...to feed all these hungry critters!
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all/Gloom, despair, and agony on me... {HeeHaw, 1970s - totally showing my age)
If anyone of my regular gem/food Friends has turned up short of anything, it's a glitch.
I get these spells when I'm only able to send one thing at a time and either have to get out of the social menu or shut down completely before I can continue.
It's a right royal pain and I'd send to Support about it, except that I already have two Support tickets pending answers.
I'll be glad when we're back to normal.
PS: I'm now having déjà vus - such as gifts being there even after I've collected them. Go figure.

Thanks Cool Kid. Guess I'd better buy the 15th island soon. I'm just afraid that my park is getting so large that the game will start having crashing issues. I have about 28,000 rings left. Guess I can use the treats to level up a couple of more dragons to elder status.

So I have 11,000 rings sitting in bank I can't touch and it's over tomorrow. If I got the rings why can't I get them in my ring thing to spend?

I took a different approach with this event, and basically spent my currency as I earned it. I kept a balance of at least 10k at all times, just in case there was a "surprise" weekend-only dragon that I couldn't breed, but aside from that, I spent 'em as I earned 'em. I have to admit that I enjoyed it a lot more doing it this way. I held off on getting most of the decorations, after learning last year that they will all be available at BeB time for either DC or gems.
With that said, is today the final day to spend our rings? We can't pull any more banked rings out of the gifts menu after today, correct?

Loved this event. I was very lucky with breeding and was able to get 2 plus egg of all dragons even the limited ones. Only had to purchase 2 house dragons (able to clone Iron Blossom, and then got Icy Torrent when joined the house and was gifted Mountain Sun). Purchased all the Pylons, the Olympic Island and both Olympic reward Habitats. Luckily had all the old content so didn't need to purchase any of that. Also had to purchase all the limited decorations and Monument of Epics and all the rest of the house banners. I am left with 34k rings in my "wallet" and 44k in my "bank" so 78k that will get turned to treats!

Yes, today is the last day you can wdl banked rings out of Social Menu.
My approach to this summer event is similar to yours, I spent as each day went by w/ about 10K in reserve. This is by far my favorite event, and I have been playing for a long time.
Decorations like pylons will come back at BeB for 50 gems/each.
