Also, after the end of the event there is a grace period to select prizes. After that, any remaining magic is converted into dragon food. And there's no such thing as having too much dragon food.
Thanks It feels good to have all of them I dont like if I'm not able to complete something 100%, so it annoys me that I did'nt got the ENbountiful :/

Tried to leave the game open at reset, and it seemed liked it worked as I saw xx/4000, but when I looked up a couple minutes later, I saw xx/2000, lol. I dmthink I got a coupke of doubles before it fixed itself, but can't be 100 percent sure.
Trying for an extra day of doubles did work at first. Took many cleared objects and some food as t double value. But it reset the maximum after bout 2 minutes, which was not enough time to even get near 2000, much less past it. So, I'd say exploiting an extra day of doubles isn't feasible in World.
Been trying for the event enchanted dragons. I managed to breed the enEast. Event timer said 15h 23 min, that would be US Pacific time. Next breed for EnSouth and EnWest netted me 23 hr 59 min. Only had enough event currency to purchase the EnNorth which I did purchase. Not willing to give up, I set a limit as to the number of gems I was willing to spend and did fast breeding. Used 180 gems and got the EnSouth and EnWest. What a surprise.

Any ideas if enchanted west, south are still breedable? When I restarted my island it says that bit about "not sure what to breed, try these" and one of the options was enchanted west. So I went for it again, but was wondering...

I did pretty well at essence collection, earning an extra airship's worth almost every day. I had enough to get all the prizes (including all eggs) except for the Enchanted dragons with almost 10000 to spare. I didn't have a lot of luck breeding the enchanteds, though, finally getting an EnNorth over 3/4ths of the way through the event. I then managed to breed an EnEast in the final day after blowing almost my entire gem nest egg, but EnSouth and EnWest eluded me with the final few gems I had remaining. After buying the uniques plus an extra exploration habitat to display all my normals and my two enchanteds, I was left with 16013 essence. So then I had a choice to make: buy all the remaining egg prizes with almost 10000 left over (which was not enough to buy either of the dragons), or buy an EnSouth for 16000 with only 13 left over. I opted to buy the EnSouth and wait for a future opportunity to get the eggs (and the EnWest). So I ended up with three of the four enchanteds and filled the remaining slot in the habitat with one of my extra Hieroglyph dragons. I'm extremely confident they'll offer us another shot at the missing dragons and eggs in the future (c'mon, it's BFS!).
I'm happy with my decision. I'd have been annoyed to leave almost 10000 essence on the table even if they do convert to food the way it does in original DV.

I've just started playing DV World about a week or so ago and the extravaganza just appeared in my game but I'm not able to collect any essence. I see the headquarters where the fountain used to be and the icon for tallying collected essence but nothing I do collects it. Can anyone help me understand why or more importantly help me to be able to get some of that magical essence?

Unfortunately you won't be able to collect the magical essence at this time, the collecting period ended a couple days ago. The Headquarters are still there for a couple more days so that players can redeem their essence, but unless you buy essence for actual money you won't be able to get any from just playing the game.

I'm sure we are all wondering what becomes of your Magic Essence at the end of the event. I wish BFS was more forthcoming in that regard. I did decide that only one of the Ancient Astrolabes would never suffice so my total currently stands at five! They look terrific as a backdrop in the Frost Habitat section of my park.

What happens to my leftover Magic Essence at the end of The Exploration Extravaganza?
Good question. The short answer is: nothing happens to your leftover Magic Essence for one week. You can still hop in the game, access the Extravaganza Headquarters and spend your Magic Essence however you'd like. At the end of that extra week, we'll cast a spell to turn your Magic Essence into food and add it to your total.

New to this game. Hoping it is more successful than Gizmonauts. I do sometimes miss that silly little game. This one seems more "cartoony" than regular DV. We shall see how I progress. It's all a little confusing right now and I did read the thread for beginners.

It might be confusing because the older posts have information about the beta version of the game. When BFS released it worldwide they made quite a few changes. Probably best not to go too far back in the threads.

Not sure as none of the ones I have or the one dragon I am missing have an exclamation point. I suspect it is something to do with which dragons you can breed for at the current level you are at.

The three different arrows I have noticed:
yellow to the top right is a new dragon you haven't clicked on.
the yellow to the bottom left with a check box is a dragon that is in your goals list to get
the yellow to the bottom right with the airship symbol is a dragon you need for your current or upcoming airship
Thank you Amos! I thought it might mean a new one you haven't looked at yet. So I clicked it, read the story and it went away on some and not on others. I'm thinking it is a glitch.
