Hmmm, I noticed that the new Iceberry meter drained itself to zero without me having to reset my park (by leaving/re-entering). That may mean that the days of extended doubles are behind us...
Why? That's how it always was.
The collection total resetting without requiring a park reload is why the trick works at all.
I hope you're right (that's why I said it "may" mean that). It's just that as a developer I know that we tend to shy away from changing code modules unless we really have to (to fix a breaking bug or to add a new feature). Once the decision is taken to open a code module for modification it becomes much easier to justify fixing non-breaking bugs or to tweak inefficiencies. It comes down to how tolerant they are of the issue (as I've noted elsewhere, developers sometimes actively code exploits into games as a reward for observant/dedicated players; if this is the case they will probably never fix it). If the extended doubles issue is one that they have been intending to fix then they may have simply been waiting until an opportune time to address it. Adding new progress bar code that kicks in during event daily reset might have given them that opportunity.

I have an observation that may have been covered, I apologize if this is old news.
I just got got an egg from breeding that does not show up in the sandbox possibilities.
Gold + Pepper = Iron Blossom Gold's primary elements are listed as metal & fire.
I seem to remember conversations regarding the change in the mix with Epic breeding now also including their primary elements. Is that why the unusual egg or am I just missing something basic?
With the demise of game centre I just started in FB to be able to friend people from this forum and join in on the fun. Please message me if you want to send a friend request so I know to watch for you😊, I never check FB otherwise. I'm deleting random requests way too many of those 😮.
If the last week is 7 days, the cap will be 7 x 1000 iceberries a day (Since 1000 seems to be the limit)
So we think we won't be able to bank more than 7000 iceberries... the last time i remember that that happened, BFS changed their minds...
There has now been two events where that was the way it worked. You can bank more -- but anything not collected gets turned into food at the end. Of course, things could always change again.

There are two places to get daily prizes, one is chilly chronograph that is part of the event.
The second is new but permanent so not part of the event. It pops up on opening the App after the reset. This daily prize became available with the update; for me this was the day before the event. The day 2 prize is a dragon. Day 1 was food, and day 3 appears to be double XP for some time period.
Someone posted (thank you but forgot who it was) that to get back to this prize chest of daily rewards - go to social menu, on bottom bar for gifts or friends tab look for the little chest by the logout button.
My nursery was full but the day 2 dragon ended up in gifts on social menu. The nursery full message made it sound like I was just out of luck, boo hoo, but I eventually found the dragon gifted to me by "Your reward for checking in gave you a gift".
Day 3 magically did the xp multiplier without showing the daily rewards screen. Wait, what was that, where did it go...oh look I have an XP multiplier.
Does anyone having issue with Edit Path? The path selection screen is now taking up half of the display and won't go away. How am I suppose to find Lumi with only half of a 4.7 screen visible!

Yes, on my phone it is more than one third. Definitely makes the search much more difficult. I didn't find lumi on either park yesterday.
I seriously need help selecting dragons to compete in snowy stadium (is that right? I already forgot). I have started getting 10 ice berries for apparently picking the most pathetic dragons to compete (one of mine and one of my friends' dragon). 😥😥😥
The problem is when there are 4 elements where there are no dragons with those elements and it somehow represents the elements the dragon provides (sorry I go into not listening mode when you all start talking about that).
Last time I found a link on wiki that had some of these they were missing many of the hard ones. I recall some king of spreadsheet someone posted where you pick the elements? Does something like that still exist and can I use it on my iPad ? Is that the best reference?
The snowy stadium choice I am looking at right now is sleigh race- light /air /cold /water
I generally choose two of the elements and check among what my friends have up, trying different combinations of two until I hit on one that a friend has a dragon up for. Then I use the other two for me.

You just have to cover all 2, 3 or 4 elements, there is no 'your side/their side' So if Plant, Fire, Cold and Metal are showing, you can use Poison and Mine, or Brass and Lichen (or dozens of other pairs). Both those pairs cover all 4 elements, and use the highest level dragons you can find.
I tend to use the filters to find something that a friend has first, then use my own dragon to cover the missing ones.
And I have an 'Elements' spreadsheet listed in my sig, I don't know if it works on the ipad though.
My mini parks appear to be sending my double iceberries and I don't know why. If I get a gem from a regular friend it come with 25 iceberries, but my mini parks are giving me 50 with a gem and 100 with a G+T.

Wait, seriously? I come poke at this forum to see if I'm missing something in coming up short on festival currency twice in a row, after easily capping every day (albeit without playing games banking currency for the "post-season" week) during both the summer and Halloween events, only to find out I basically have to choose between keeping my co-op nest/gem income crippled (one person I know appears to have played through the intro and that's it, couldn't even use his galaxy dragon for co-op) or making even more of a sad farce of the word "friend" on a website I genuinely despise and only use because all my family does? -_- (Oh, and unless I missed seeing something I'm missing, not having Farcebook friends seems to be the only thing I'm failing to do for earning currency, which means I'm going to end up missing out on holiday content too because I'm certainly not inclined to spend $ at this point. If I weren't multiple months into the game I'd seriously consider ditching it just the account locking alone. (And yes I know I can segregate posts so that game-"friends" never see anything but that's an added complication on my part and does nothing to alleviate the aforementioned concern.))

It's pretty rough that we no where have to use Facebook for the game, but to be fair to BFS, they had GC worked out, and then apple ditched it, leaving DV developers to scratch their chin, so I guess this is their best temporary fix for that. They are, according to BFS, working on having an in-game friending system so that Facebook is not required, but this is quite difficult, I understand, so they cannot tell us when this will be ready, and will most likely take a few months at the very minimum.

That said - the GoT dragon wars may just be fought here. Production are keeping mum, but you can't help noticing when someone orders 70 horses. Or when a local chef tweets "Khaleesi loves my cooking!" along with a candid shot of her tucking into a stew. (The phone shots and selfies around the series would make a nice parallel book - so far, we've seen them from Seville, Girona and now Extremadura). But what makes me happy is thinking. "oh, the backdrop for Drogon... "
