I'd say 50-50. It seems like we used to always get two doubles weekends, even in short events. But I don't think we got two in the last one (short event). I would not expect it and be happily surprised if we get a doubles weekend the last weekend.

Tried for the extra day of doubles and managed 482 before getting the somethings gone wonky message and getting tossed out. That's 482 i wouldn't have had, but I did lose the extra roses I would have been able to bank and I got booted while hatching my cuddlewing dragon so no rewards for that and no 2 extra gems. Oh well. I still got the extra roses so I should be grateful for that.
Question: did anybody try to breed a second of the new dragons cuddlewibg, ambrosia etc etc in the regular breding spots ? Like cudlewibg plus love etc

Same here. I'm currently sitting on close to 8,000 roses and about 800 in the bank, but I'm hesitant to spend anything right now.
I've decided that I'm not spending anything until after the weekend because that's probably when they'll give us the surprise dragon. And even if they don't, I'll have over 10,000 roses by then and can splurge on a Serenity.

I just bred my Cuddlwing with a Rosegold (cooperatively) and I think I've got my first Rosegold, yay. I might rush it later when reset starts, fingers crossed it will leave me more roses for that surprise dragon that's sure to turn up soon!
Thanks to noodles and all those that posted!!! I decided to try and got a Cuddlewing using Cuddlewing and Elder Plant!!!! I'm bummed I can't add friends to try more (IOS Game Center Blaaaaat). We only have our 4 family group so I have to wait until someone's park has enough to buy another one. Oh well on the bright side it's one less dragon that I have to use roses for!
Here's a question that has been running around in my head. With all the discussion about changes to the breeding rules is it possible that now I could try to get a Panlong through the coop if one of my family's parks get it??? I am incredibly hopeful that one will and even more crazily hopeful that these breeding changes affect all specials?!?

I am already breeding for the Panglong in all 4 of our family parks. What usually happens though is one of their parks will get it and not me . Sooooo I was hoping if that happens that if the breeding rules have changed I might be able to try the coop as well to get one. Like I said ever the wishful dreamer!!!

I just had something strange happen. I have banked the last rose Ring event for the past 4 days - so I had 700 roses banked. I managed to carry doubles over today and collect 2000 roses today. So, I just went to collect my extra roses to bank from the Rose Ring. It said I won 100. Then it flashed that 1100 (one thousand one hundred) would be added to my social menu. And sure enough, there are 1800 in there from Backflip. 700 from the first 4 days, and 1100 from today. I closed and reopened the app and they are still there. Could it be a qlitch with the first round of the rose ring? Or a glitch from carrying doubles over? Anyone else have this happy accident??

so it's not just me... I have 2,277 banked currently, not including social gifts. Crazy. I know that ~120 a day might have been right, but at most I couldn't have banked more than 600 or so. I got the same notice that 1,100 were banked today after doing the exploit. And still have a lot, all listed as from BFS. My dragons will be happy with the treats by the end!

I got 1050 as well. It appears we are getting an extra cool 1000 roses.
Well, that was different. Intrigued by the weird results of co-op breeding we've been seeing lately, I embarked on a little breeding program using a simple Flower dragon against various friends' event dragons. 250 gems later, here's what my Nursery looks like:
So that's all the event dragons without spending roses (plus a random Electrum)...
Also, you can see that my attempt at the extended doubles trick resulted in 1450, even though I thought I had reached the full 2000. When I banked my Rose Ring winnings, it actually banked 550, the difference from 2000 (but minus the actual arena winnings!).

Edit: the weird results make me wonder whether this new kind of cloning works with non-event dragons. If anybody would like me to put up a dragon they don't have to try to "glitch clone" it, please let me know.
