Just out of curiosity, the purpose of the Rose Ring is to use your friends and your own dragons to achieve all four elements and on doing so get full rose. Am I correct here?

Cause if so why do I keep getting half the roses when I think I have it right and full when I believe I've messed up?

There is a bit of randomness involved. I've used all the correct elements and gotten only the 50 instead of 100 reward. And I've used incorrect elements and gotten 100 at times. At a high level guess, I'd say if I got them all correct I'll get 100 most of the time, maybe 3 out of 4 or even higher. And incorrect, I'll get 25 or 50 at about the same rate. Nothing is guaranteed.

It may be that the level of the dragons you use is important too: if I use and select a friend with the correct elements and level 19 or 20, I always get the full amount of roses/ event currency.

This ^. I have come to agree with N/A that choosing the highest level possible of dragons in both lists is more successful.

It's great to hear the magic is working for other people too

I just bred my Cuddlwing with a Rosegold (cooperatively) and I think I've got my first Rosegold, yay. I might rush it later when reset starts, fingers crossed it will leave me more roses for that surprise dragon that's sure to turn up soon!

Awesome, glad to share some of the koala around, hope it helps others breed an event dragon too and save some of the roses for yet to be announced surprises.

Rookie question from longtime player: I have yet to try and take advantage of extending the doubles at reset usually due to busy midday hours. Will someone be kind and post the best way to take advantage of this game mechanic. I have not gone over the daily limit yet for today and I know the game has to be opened a few minutes before reset, 12:00 in central US, and then you just start collecting after the 12:00 reset? Do all the roses you collect after the reset then go into your banked total and we collect another 1000 for the next day? Thanks in advance for posting here or placing a link!

if want to get another day of doubles then you need to have game open before the reset. When roses become available again you can collect them at the double earn rate (4 for coin collection, double for games etc), the limit you can collect is also 2000 (just as at weekend on double days). This is not banked but collected just as if a double day! However once you shut game, it returns to normal. so if close after collecting 1100 roses, when you return it will tell you that limit reached! So ideally need to get as many roses as you can, spend gems, speed up with Karios etc. if I not going to max 2000 and know I have spare in my banked sometimes take those out to get to get there.

Alright I just bred a stoneheart with my melancholy and got 24 hours in coop, other than stoneheart, what other possibilities are there? I saw another melancholy and crystal. Are there any others?

Thanks scispider for the explanation. Decided I'm not really set up to collect anywhere close to 2000 after reset today without having Kairos ready to go, my colosseum ready to collect, eggs ready to hatch in nursery, etc. went ahead and banked the 200 from the Rose Ring and maxed out. Usually there's a doubles weekend at the beginning and close to the end of the events.

I hear that. Been too afraid to buy main dragons just in case haha.
