*i just printed Arkynos charts via photos. I can’t find magpacs file on here. I saved a pic but it’s not large enough to print. These should be on the first page mods
Your wish is, etc etc 😜

I'm also coordinating with someone from the wikia by posting as many Rift traits that I come across to my Tumblr, so if you are interested in contributing to that as well or just want to take a look at some really cool, whacky, goofy, and in some cases, even disappointing rift traits, feel free to check out my other posts on my Tumblr or send me some traits that you think I haven't seen or posted yet!
Thanks for posting the comparisons here! The references to the primaries are really cool to see side by side.
I read your tumblr so have been enjoying the trait posts for a little while now, and have a pile of screenshots in an album here to show, myself. All but one are traited off-element I think. Some are okay (maybe unusual? I dunno) but some I really like. The odd-one-out is Magnetic which is for the disappointing pile... Feel free to repost any of them if you'd like!
thank you! I'll happily add these to my collection and yes, magnetic is definitely included in the list of dragons who's Rift versions just are not as cool as I had hoped. At the top of the list is of course Glass. I mean, BFS why would you take AWAY the cool rainbow wings and leave the ugly green body, and not have it be the reverse?? It's only saving grace is how glass looks with a cold trait. Any others I breed, once I generate enough E3M, they will all go into hibernation.
Other disappointing rift versions of dragons include: mountain, lava, snow, hypnotic (same reason as glass), iceberg, root, quake, heat, and spark.
Reputable Rift Habitat --Dragon Capacity: 2 / Max Etherium: 65
Revitalized Rift Habitat --Dragon Capacity: 3 / Max Etherium: 100
Refined Rift Habitat --Dragon Capacity: 4 / Max Etherium: 135
Regal Rift Habitat --Dragon Capacity: 5 / Max Etherium: 200
(NOTE 1: The cost for a Rift Habitat increases with each one that you purchase - see below) (NOTE 2: You can use a Wish to get a Refined and/or Regal Rift Habitat)
The cost to upgrade a Rift Habitat, once you acquire it, does not increase. It costs 500 Etherium to upgrade Regular-->Reputable It costs 1000 Etherium to upgrade Reputable-->Revitalized It costs 2500 Etherium to upgrade Revitalized-->Refined It costs 5000 Etherium to upgrade Refined-->Regal
01/40: Tutorial (Regular) 02/40: Tutorial 03/40: 200 04/40: 250 05/40: 300 06/40: 350 07/40: 400 08/40: 450 <- After buying this, upgrade all Regular to Reputable, 500 Etherium adds one more Habitat slot AND a higher total Etherium cap. i.e. 500 on a Regular gets you +1 dragon, +30 cap, upgrading a Regular to Reputable gets you +1 Dragon and +35 Eth Cap
09/40: 500 10/40: 550 11/40: 600 12/40: 650 13/40: 700 14/40: 900 <- After buying this, upgrade all Reputable to Revitalised, 1100 on a Regular gets you +1 dragon, +35 cap, but upgrading a Reputable to Revitalised is 1000 and +1 dragon +35 cap. 15/40: 1100 16/40: 1500 17/40: 2000 <- After buying this, upgrade all Revitalised to Refined, 2500 on a Regular gets you +1 dragon, +30 cap, but upgrading a Revitalised to Refined is 2500 and +1 dragon +35 cap. 18/40: 2500 19/40: 3000 20/40: 4000 <- After buying this, upgrade all Refined to Regal, 5000 on a Regular gets you +1 dragon, +30 cap, but upgrading a Refined to Regal is 5000 and +1 dragon +65 cap.
Note from mapgac: upgrading to Regals will require a fair bit more space, so more Miasma to clear. I don't know where the balance point is, where buying more Refined habitats become dearer than upgrading current Refineds to Regals, factoring in the extra clearing costs. But from here, I'm am just planning to buy Regulars and upgrade them straight to Regal.

Yeah, I agree with Glass being not great for that reason and most of the others you've posted. I'd also add Lichen, the wings but not the back changing makes it look a bit disjointed with the three different colour zones. I think it could work in Cold, but Plant and others look a bit odd.
On the flip side of the glass problems are some of the others with fancy wing designs that change. I really like some of those. Shimmer and Palladium especially seem to look good in everything. A lot of the Blazing variants too. Oh, and Crystal. I've seen some good Crystals posted around. And then there are some like Howl, Obsidian, that change pretty dramatically with the traits. They're always fun to see, looking almost like completely different dragons from the original. So there's an interesting mix of good and bad in the variants.
I think I like Magnetic least because its Rift-Zone™ goes all the way across its stomach on the baby form, but not on the adult. It's inconsistent, it bugs me. And even if that was fixed it'd only go to Ember/Spark level because it still wouldn't be all that visibke. Though I've not bred Mountain yet, so when I do that might overtake it through sheer disappointment over what could have been...

I finally got a Fire Dodo using a Fire Blazing + Fire Obsidian on a Fire alignment day. It was on my second 2500 E breed. I got a Fire Sandstorm as one of the fails, along with Obsidians / Blazings / Lavas, and a Rainbow as well. I am scared to know how much E I have used to get that Fire Dodo!

Me too! I've been dedicating a lot of time and energy to that Dodo, and still no luck! Glad for your success, though!
Thought I decided to bite the bullet and spend 20,000 for my Water trait Mirage and Air Trait Shadow respectively. I haven't started breed Lacuna yet, as I tried to breed a Rift Blue Fire. Still no luck...
Is there a page that says what dragon wins 2 chests for each race? I’ve chosen the same dragon for the same race have gotten 1 chest and 2 chests. I always win the races but it’s a fudge shoot as to whether I get 2 chests and I’m trying to understand the rationale if it exists....

There was a discussion about race randomness and the old 'sure shots' no longer applying, a wee while ago. Although BFS have tweaked the races a bit w Rift gifts etc, I've experimented and the 'sure thing' dragons of olde still no longer apply. I've even selected dragons that do not appear in the matching trait lists, just for fun and cos I want to see them run, and got 2 chests, so randomness, while ensuring they can cope with the terrain, wins change it up! 🐨🐨🐨🌿🌿

Thanks for the question and the answer; I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’m a little disappointed that it’s been changed. To me, it added to the fun to figure out the best dragon for each race. Ah, well.
Layout 4, just cleared the miasma to find my cave. So much thanks to those who have posted grids, guides, screenshots, etc! I’m sure you have saved the rest of us huge amounts of E!
And here are those squares overlaid on a screenshot of a new Rift Park.
I have cleared the green squares, and I see the silhouette at 2C. How do I make it not-a-silhouette? I click on it and it doesn’t do anything or give any options. If I need to clear more ether, which block should I do? It’s expensive!
GC: NonnyD (Please add NonnyD Vale on Facebook) Level 100 Playing since: Jan. 2013 Egg count: 373/389 Dragons: 388/393 - need rift dragons!
I have to do something. From beeing someone who had them all, and perfect control, just waiting for time enough to build my Eggland to this. I say like Manuel ... ladda ner film
If you can see the siilhouette, you will have to clear the fog on the silhouette square 2C. I think. Normally so sure of myself, but this rift has me second guessing everything. I had to clear the miasma on that square before the cave showed.

Its more fun to me to not have to worry about which is the best dragon and just choose a dragon that matches the filter.

L20Garland and L20Bouquet and L20Wyrmwood are handy to have, depending on my skill, they win in races that they qualify for. Highest-level Acid, of course, for his race. Flurry seems better than Snow for Cold/Air. I always regret not using DoubleLeap Year for the Year of the Dragon when I try experimenting. I generally pick the highest-level dragons that fit the elements for the others.

Does level matter? I think I have as much success with level 1 dragons as I do with level 20. As long as the elements are covered they seem to win.
I'm trying so hard to work out which dragons to breed to eventually get to the new rift drgaons.
There's been so much extremely helpful information posted in this thread - and I can just hear some people saying "that woman just wants everthing handed to her on a plate" - and perhaps they're right.
BUT..... I think I may not be the ONLY creature who looks at the daily rift alignment and wonders what the best choices are for the elusive dragons like Bluefire, Malachite etc.
I seem to have spent very single e-stuff the past three days - up to 2,500 without success. I have acquired a couple of additional traits for the dragons I already have, but mostly even the traits are repeats. I'm just wandering in the dark.

If nothing else, randomness and luck play their part!
