Hey, I thought I read that the thorn + spore via the CBC no longer worked but I was able to get my twin spore and twin egg, along with hatching several regulars. So it still works! Get them while you can!!

omg, twin plant rifts and twin metal rifts are also available if you breed either plant rift or metal rift with thorn in the CBC!

Awesome! I just got 30 Spore's (yes, I got carried away) including 3 twins thanks to your post. Now to try for Plant Rift and Metal Rift's.
EDIT: 48 hour fail with Plant Rift + Thorn in CBC :-( EDIT2: 48 hour WIN with Plant Rift + Thorn in CBC :-)

That's not a fail. The problem with plant and metal rift dragons is that they have a 48 hour incubation, where spore is instant. While I managed to get my twin spore egg and dragon, there's no way I'm going to try for a metal or plant when it's a 2 day hurry to see if you get lucky with a twin. I got my second metal rift dragon, and was happy with that.
One thing to note with this bug, and it's clearly a bug: When you first hatch your spore, it's cheap to feed it to level 20. If you wait, logout, and log back in then it'll cost the usual 'rift' amount to feed going forward.
Edit: After more testing with the social twin eggs from friends, I found the following: If you receive your egg while logged out, and log in to it, if shows in the social menu with a plant element and when hatched, goes straight to your habitat. It also costs a lot to level. If you receive your egg while you're logged into the game, it won't have the plant element showing on the egg in the social menu and it will collect to your nursery. This one will be cheap to level. If you log out with it in your social, it may convert it to the expensive egg.
In the end, I grabbed an extra spore, twin, and egg and called it good.

Thanks! I didn't realise that. (Sorry for the poor quote formatting, but sometimes the iPhone is really bad at doing simple things like editing text).

Hello just seen latest posts on spore x thorn. Transferring spore in hope getting there in time. Would anyone share their spore with my thorn in CBC? No one currently sharing on my lists

Got a couple of each, and went back for a twin spore...now takes 12 hours... Bug fixed? Game kept glitching while I was breeding the metal and plant draggies, so maybe we just bent the game, and doing so alerted BFS, cos I got a msge BFS had been alerted 😈
Thanks for sharing ChemNerdTwin , one twin coming your way 😊🌿🌿🐨🐨
And huge thanks N/A, for the heads up; so nice to have the peds already 😊🐨🐨🌿🌿

Stupid question: in the rift, dragons are all equal meaning they all earn the same amount of emoney if they are at same level. The type of dragon thus does not matter. This being totally different from the normal DV game. Thus, having 10 spores or 10 various "plain dragons"" makes no difference if they are at the same level. I thus do not bother to get doubles of the set of special rift dragons. Filling rift islands is quite easy as your get many different trait bearing dragons in time. (Actually this is not a question lol)

I got a few non-spore fails doing spore+thorn in CBC. I just sped those fails up with gems.

It's all about the economy. We are limited by chance now to breed more rift dragons. It also costs e to breed (1,100,220,220,1000,1000...). This glitch gives rift dragons for free. Instantaneously. Filling your habitats with any dragon (even if it's the same or duplicate ones) will make the habitats fill faster giving you more e so you can breed more, upgrade habitats more, buy habitats more and clear ether more. Key is you have to check in more. Once you get 20 ish regal habitats (or 40 )you could slow down knowing that you can wait and will have 4000/8000 e whenever you log in. At that point I will replace my spore placeholders with "real" dragons. Think of it as super charging your ability to collect and breed your wanted dragons.

This is a good idea. My spore transferred over and someone was sharing Thorn - so up to a 100 of these now.
Yay, finally came here in time to get in on the spore glitch before they fix it, lol. By the way, spores sell for over a million coins for those not interested in the rift aspect. I kept five spores, a couple leveled up to 20 with the non-rift treat usage, and including a couple twins, but sold all the rest. I still need to buy 4 islands and about 15 habitats, lol, so the DC is also helpful.

Elf and vampdragon I'm sorry to hear you both didn't have any luck getting thunderbird. What level dragons did you both use? Mine were above level 15. Also, during the fire alignment helps a bunch.
My Quake Lightning trait is only level 11 Will have to feed him up and try again once I get more food and etherium.

And here are those squares overlaid on a screenshot of a new Rift Park.
I have cleared the green squares, and I see the silhouette at 2C. How do I make it not-a-silhouette? I click on it and it doesn’t do anything or give any options. If I need to clear more ether, which block should I do? It’s expensive!

I'm breeding 6 times a day, usually creating 4-5 new rift dragons (and one or two non rift fails that I release). But I'm not creating 4+ habitat spots per day, I'm usually looking to get 1-2 habitats upgraded to regal for an extra spot. I seem to always have more dragons than space, and I have 24 habitats purchased at this point, and about 20 of them are regal. My cave is filling up with extras, so I just sold off every extra spore I made until I got the twin and egg. I just don't have room for them. I did make the two I kept level 20, which was nice.

It's the complete opposite for me. If I sold all my Spores, I would have ~70 free slots right now.
