I have a Cold alighnment coming up and so far haven't bred a Frostfluff using Cold Rift and Earth Rift. I don't want to complicate this with any other elements, but has anyone been successful with another combo?
I keep getting untraited dragons when I use the primary dragons (Earth, Cold, etc). Have been more successful, while not adding elements, by using Mountain and Glacier and at least have acquired almost all the traits for Glacier!

I don’t know if someone else has noted this, but my husband told me this morning that he could breed rift dragons in the coop cave. I thought that we couldn’t, but he’s true! When I selected a dragon, the rift ones of my park (not those who are in the rift though) were available. Does this mean we can get rift dragons this way now?

Either I am having the worst day or they just changed the breeding rules in the Rift. Was taking a break from Harvest and Feast so I was just trying to get some of the hybrids I still haven`t got. Only got 2 traited dragons from 11 breedings. Was using different primary dragons - Level 15 and 16 like I always do.
This has never happened before, first 5 in a row - non-traited.
Really hope it`s just bad luck. ☹️

He can use a rift as parent, and a simple hybrid went in the nursery; he tried 3-4 times with the same result. I can’t remember being able to use rift dragons as parents in the coop cave before, that’s why I asked if anything has changed...

It used to be you could not "see" across the Rift. But you could put up a Rift dragon that was in the regular park. But they did change that, yes

you're definitely able to use them as parents (pretty sure that was possible before... ) but you can't clone them from any combo using the CBC. They can only be bred in the rift breeding cave, or obtained from a mystery egg, like the ones in the Rift market (and now, daily login rewards too!).

Thanks, and thanks to Vonfirmath too!!! I hadn’t seen that we could use rift dragons as parents in the CBC, I admit I hadn’t paid attention... How silly of me 😅
So I hit 40 Regals last week. It's nice. Very freeing to be done with the etherium spending elephant in the room. Can level, or clear, or buy eggs, or save up, and don't feel bad about inefficiency any more.
Anyway, now that I'm buying a significant number of mystery eggs, I have a question for the others who are in this position: how are you divvying up your mystery egg purchases? I've got twins remaining in all three categories, but proportionally less in Rare partly because I have twins of most golden hybrids. Should I just stay on the anything egg forever? Alternate between the three types until I get all in a category? Just buy gem eggs because there's no way I'm actually breeding a twin Ovalith but most of the others are possible? Would love to hear your thoughts, and what you're all doing with the riches of Etherium at our disposal now.

Yes, you can get a twin plant egg. Find a plant dragon up in coop cave and put your plant dragon with it until you get one. It is only 5 second fails so it comes fast.
Here is a sheet to help with the hybrid dragons that can be rifts and rift eggs.
The others are the basic rift eggs and dragons in the rift market and all the ones in the rift section of the dragonarium. The only other ones are the spooky dragons which were limited and not available now. Harvest and Feast are available right now for the current event as rifts and rift eggs.

Yeah, I've had a couple of fairly unlikely duplicates from the eggs, and need a lot of gem twins too. I think I'm going to alternate the purchases for a bit. I don't have my numbers on me, but I think I've got about 2/3 of the rares as twins, a bit below half of the epics (mostly helped by having every galaxy twin for some reason), and a third of the crystal/gems... But those numbers are improving quite quickly. The major hold up is hatchery space now, amusingly.
Some other stuff: I've got a couple of Rift Spookies from mystery eggs now, post halloween event. Didn't get given a chance to pedestal them, sadly. I got one of each during the event, so can't confirm they're available that way if you missed them, but it's interesting regardless.
And Frostfluff has been fixed. Huzzah! My little ferrety friend has gotten over the Riftpox. So pleased for it.
Wow! My whine for the Seed Dragon must be working overtime! On Earth days, I've been using Light Rift X Voltaic in hopes of not only an Antumbra, but also a Dream Dragon for my Park. After a month of nothing but fails and random rifties, I got them both today! And it was bam!bam! one right after the other.😀🎉
Now I've gotta get serious about these specifically-traited dragons. Ugh. I still don't have a single one, so my hopes of a Viridian, Zaffer, or Lacuna are going nowhere fast.
Edit: and I saw my favorite little buddy, Frostfluff, is back to normal! Yay! It's a good day in the Vale.
Finally found my rift cave! I apparently was one off on where I was looking compared to the chart. Found the tower which let me know I was layout #4 and that let me know I was looking in the wrong spots. Now I need to move the rift dragons I have stashed in my regular park back to the rift so I have the room back so I can hatch my twins I've been storing in my gifts. A dragon manager's work is never done
