I bred a Rift Harvest today using Earth Rift + Seaweed.

That's what I used too, but mine was without trait. But at least it gave Harvest, so I will stick to that combination.

What the heck happened to the Frostfluff?



I remember him being cute and ferret-y, mostly greens, blues and white highlights, like how he looks in the headshot on the top left. Not a mass of swirly stuff. You can't even see his face anymore. It's not a good look. The super brightness of the white caught my eye while I was collecting E and, at first, couldn't even tell which dragon I was looking at.

Is he different post-update or am I losing my mind?

My secondary park just bred a second Frostfluff using Frostfluff + Light Rift, and the alignment was lightning. So it works!

On my most recent round of E collection, I noticed Frostfluff randomly flickers to a not-so-blindingly white version:



When he looks like that, he also shows up in the muted colors in the Dragonarium:



Better than the white, but still stinks compared to the original.
I watched him in his habitat for a couple minutes and he flickered back and forth between the two new colorings. Weird. Me no likey.

When the Om Of Noms started I decided to forget about Lacuna. My rift priorities are (1) time-limited rifts + their eggs (2) non-Rift Seraph (3) other Rift specials + their eggs , such as Frostfluff

I think the Frostfluff dragon may be having layering issues. I admittedly don't know any of the ins-and-outs of how BFS make a dragon, but from old teenage days of being veeeery bad at Photoshop, it looks to me that it's new appearance is caused by the Rift effect layers ending up above the main colour and outlining layers, or something similar. If you imagine stacking the white one below the blue one below the outline of the body and face, it would be quite a bit more like it was before. Maybe there was an adjustment to Frostfluff (maybe the effects weren't actually showing up properly, I don't remember it being particularly Rifty before) and that change went wrong and the build that was submitted for the update happened to unintentionally be one with the bugged Fluff in it. 🤷‍♀️

I know what you mean! I came back at the very beginning of the Rift Event after being gone a year, and I’m just now feeling like I’m catching up with all of the changes and am starting to figure things out!

Thanks for that! Based on the photo below from that FAQ page, I am trying to figure out where the Transfiguration Tower is so I can concentrate on clearing that area next. Also, it does not appear that we can visit the Rift portion of any of our friends' parks. If anyone figures out a way, post it here.

 

I can not find anything except the transfiguration tower!
My trams tower appears just where your black blob is in the picture therefore I thought I have 1t & 1 c according to your map but it's a transfiguration tower not a hibernation cave or storage tower as you list the two possible buildings in the ether to be. In your picture is that a transfiguration tower? Can you please post a pic of your final cleared rift area with hibernation cave exposed CYN. I just want to find my hibernation cave. I cleared all the area for 1c according to the red arrows and found nothing.

Hi @cbop, you'll probably find that anyone posting pictures of where our buildings are, will not help you now, as most of us have started moving them around a lot to fit in habitats.
Your best bet is to take a methodical approach , using whichever graph/plan ( there are at least 2 hot linked on the OP of this thread) makes sense to you ( eg I couldn't understand it at all until I realised that using the numbers on the X and y axis of the grid helped me count down spaces to work out which cloud to clear away next) and using that grid to methodically clear clouds.
The other thing you could do ( apart from joining our merry band 😀) would be to post a pic of YOUR rift, and possibly the really clever folk here ( not me!) will be able to guide you from that

Either I am having the worst day or they just changed the breeding rules in the Rift.
Was taking a break from Harvest and Feast so I was just trying to get some of the hybrids
I still haven`t got.
Only got 2 traited dragons from 11 breedings.
Was using different primary dragons - Level 15 and 16 like I always do.

This has never happened before, first 5 in a row - non-traited.

Really hope it`s just bad luck. ☹️

I FINALLY was successful breeding the Antumbra rift dragon. With the rift in Earth alignment I bred Mirage (dark) x Light Rift. I got it first try with that combo...and I’ve tried a lot of combos.

I have a Cold alighnment coming up and so far haven't bred a Frostfluff using Cold Rift and Earth Rift. I don't want to complicate this with any other elements, but has anyone been successful with another combo?
