It is almost inconceivable that I have not bred a second one in all that time. I usually breed up to 10,000 E. Maybe this whine will help.

I don’t even want to know how much etherium I wasted on trying to get the first one I had or trying for a second one when I got my first as a log on reward. I finally spent the 10,000 event currency to buy my second one in the event that it was offered and then they come easily. My advice though is to get multiples before you evolve because it is so hard to clone without two of them. So I bred a total of 5 before I evolved so I could have 2 to keep, the pedestal and evolve 2 for Corrupticorns.

Should I ever get a second chromacorn, that's absolutely what I will do. No way I'm giving one up to evolve corrupticorn until I have a few.
What I keep wondering though is at what point is it no longer worth the time and rift opportunity sink? And once you decide that is the case, how do you let it go? I mean I've been pretty much trying non stop for over 6 months to breed a second chromacorn with zero success. Now I feel it would be a major loss to stop because I've invested so much time, effort, and E, not to mention losing the opportunity to breed other dragons when they became available over the months. It has become difficult to give up but I can envision myself still doing this a year from now and just compounding my losses. I just did the math and I have tried unsuccessfully to breed a second chromacorn, easily, 4000 times. It is possible this could continue indefinitely. Who can understand the randomness of the universe or dragon breeding odds.

The lost opportunities for breeding during BeB may have been a really poor decision on my part although when I think about it I was not able to breed anything at all in the sanctuary or the cave during bring em back, so I probably didn't lose any opportunity in the rift except the opportunity to fail at breeding something else besides a chromacorn.
N/A How many rift dragons are you at now? I am so close... missing 12.
I’m only missing 5 - Bilby, honeyglow, surprise, stoneheart, and Twinkle - Which is why Twinkle is so frustrating for me. It’s the only dragon that I can currently try to breed a rift version of, and I’ve tried nonstop for what feels like at least 2 weeks, with no luck. Trying Winter with Air rift, or Snow, I haven’t even bred a non rifted Twinkle. But I really hope I can get it before it expires, and I lose my chance. Of course I’m buying mystery eggs, so it is possible to get a rifted Twinkle from them, but it’s very rare. Only time will tell. Wish me some koala! 🤞☘️ At least the 4 others will be breedable again over the next 2 events.

Well, that's 6 months I'll never get back again! Thanks for telling me. It's funny if you use the sandbox and make sure you do not check the BEB box, it does say you can breed a second chromacorn using a chromacorn and a variety of choices and a 0.2% with 187 fails. I really appreciate you setting me straight on this. What a continued waste of time it would have been to keep trying. How does one find out these kinds of things?

Best plan if you want many unicorn dragons: breed a second Chromacorn at some point after the heat death of the universe, pair it with your first for a third and fourth, and evolve them both. Then you can breed the Corrupticorns together to fill your Rift with them if you like.

arkynos is right. Sometime around (or after) candy bash I bred a second chromacorn with chromacorn + rainbow. After that I started getting chromacorns almost every day. I didn’t evolve one though because I got a corrupticorn from a mystery egg sometime after that. Beginners luck? Probably
cynmed , Don’t forget you can also get a Chromacorn or a Corrupticorn by using one Wish in the Wishing Well.
It is difficult for me to part with a wish. I do have a couple, but I am afraid that as soon as I spend them on dragons I don't have there will be something introduced that is important to have but is beyond my ability to acquire because I don't have enough of something or other. So the wishes are my security blanket and I am not comfortable using them up. But I know they are a renewable resource so to speak and I will get another at some point so it's rather costly, opportunity wise, to spend all my rift breeding chances from now until I finally get a second chromacorn, or as Arkynos so aptly called it until "the heat death of the universe", chasing one extremely difficult dragon. It would make more sense to just wish for it. As is often said on these boards, resources are made to use not hoard. Thanks for the reminder. I need to consider it very seriously.

LOL. Don't I get that! As soon as you said it I was relieved. Now I could stop and not feel like a quitter. And it made perfect sense that it was impossible. I mean seven months? But alas, it's not going to be that easy. Stopping is going to have to be a choice I make. I should take Cyn's reminder to heart and pick it up with a wish. I am my own worse enemy.

You CAN have rifted Gemstone (and I assume Crystalline). They only go to level 10 and earn Etherium like other epic dragons.
