Is there a way (besides pen and paper or spreadsheet) to keep track of all your new hybrids?
I looked in the Dragonarium and it only appears to show if your hybrid also has a full-on Rift element, like a Swamp Dragon that is Plant/Water/Rift, but not if you have one that is Dark-traited, or Air-traited... I think. Or, am I missing something?
I'm getting to the point where I need to start weeding out some unnecessary dragons with duplicate colors and traits (as in: do I really need both a rifty, dark-traited Swamp AND a rifty, dark-traited Seaweed?) With so many possible traits, sorting them looks like it's going to be a PITA.
Edit: Dang, all this rifty stuff is complicated to explain.

when you click on the actual dragon in the dragonarium, the upper right corner shows which traits you have and if you click on trait (in the middle, but on the lower right corner of the dragon's "profile" border, opposite "age"), you can see how they look at each stage with the traits you have unlocked.
You can just squish habitats together to use the space you have in the Rift.
I assure you, I'm already Tetrising the space as hard as I can. What I need is more of it.
I literally got out graph paper. 6x6 are tough have to clear 15 more clouds to make a square to fit 21 regal habitats. Might just stay at refined for a bit.

Clearing a 6x5 block of Miasma (so 30x25 mini squares), will let you fit 20 Regal habitats in a 5x4 block (30x24 minisquares)
That's where I'll be heading after I: Reach the Hibernation cave (5 squares ~16k), upgrade my last 4 Revitalised habitats to Refined (10k), buy 3 more Refined habitats (22k), (which will take me up to 20.)
Clear 10 more blocks (~51k), upgrade 20 habitats to Regal (100k)
At least I know where my next 200k Essence in going.
After that is clearing 14 more squares (113k) and buying 20 more Regal habitats (453k), but that's the LONG term view
It's nice to have a goal

Once you find the Transformation Tower, you basically need to keep one Hybrid that can "Wear" traits of each type (So one Swamp and one Seaweed). THen use the Transformation to flip the hybrid between the unlocked traits (or spend Etherium to unlock a different trait) as needed for breeding purposes and/or your favorite look for each dragon.
Oh, and for the Transformation Tower to work, the hybrid needs to reside in the Rift. If it is in your main park, you will need to move it through the Rift first.

I'm beginning to appreciate the value of filling the ginormous island 🌴 with Rainbow habitats to keep up with these Rifty appetites!
I'm going to be able to fill a couple of Treasure habitats with Platinum fails - (this is a half-a**ed whine for a Solarflare pedestal).
And I'm loving the "Bathmat" for the chance at leveling up the Rifty ones without spending DC (and food for failures!)
Although I find E to be the most simple abbreviation for Etherium, I can see that it has negative connotations. Will settle for Kiwichris's "Eth" cause I like the lisp-y quality.

I've finally found my tower! Now I've just got to earn enough Etherium to uncover it...
I wouldn't even bother until you actually need it. Right now it's better to clear empty tiles to get more space for habitats.
If you leave the buildings in the rift, they don't take up any of that valuable real estate.
I do need it though. I need to change some of my dragons' elements to breed for the Rift dragons. I'm also only breeding a maximum of two times a day in the rift, so I'm not getting that many new dragons and I don't really need that much space. I've cleared more than enough while looking for my tower for all my habitats at the moment.
On an unrelated note, I've just bred a Gamma dragon with a Metal trait in the rift, but every time I try to hatch it, my game freezes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try rebooting your device (on iOS hold the power button in for a bit then swipe "power down". Wait till it shuts down and then hold the power button in again until it starts booting up).
Yeah! Got my tower uncovered, but I'm confused. I have several hybrids but the tower only indicates that one of them can switch traits. Why is that? The rift is not making a lot of sense tome.

Somewhat unrelated to the rift, but I'm realizing I'm going to have to grow food at a much faster rate than I have before to feed those rift dragons (there's the connection!). As the quantities go up, the price per unit goes up too. I was lazily throwing in one farm's worth of the most expensive food, but now I'm thinking I should buy more treat farms and go for a more farms making cheaper food.
has anyone figured out if it's possible to breed pure rift dragons? when i breed plant rift and plant rift i get a regular plant, not a plant rift. i didnt buy the eggs during the event and now im regretting it because i need all the pure rift eggs :/

I was trying for hybrids/Plumewing yesterday with a Light Right and an Air Right and I got a Light Rift dragon! I also read where someone finally got an air by breeding fire rift and water rift.
I was disappointed with mine, as that account already had 10 light rift dragons (from ancient fails trying for dark rift back in the day) and released it.
I have all 11 treat farms, and I've been just doing 3k every 24 hrs for maintenance, but now that's not making it! I'm currently trying to figure out how much I can grow with my current gold input so it can be sustainable. Haven't gotten that worked out yet. I was really disappointed when I used Karios and my treat farms didn't change. They always have before. Personally, I'm rather annoyed with how this is going. Looks to me like Backflip is out to make money at our expense. Not a happy camper!

I'd contact Dragonvale about this. The farms have been sped up by Kairos since the Rift opened because I did just that.

I would keep all the Light and Dark Rifts. They can fill in Rift habitats even though they earn the same as any common Rift hybrid and back in your park they're some of your highest earners.

In order to switch traits for a certain dragon, you would have had to have bred one dragon with each trait. So in order to switch your Air!Smoke to Fire!Smoke, you need to have bred an Air!Smoke AND a Fire!Smoke. Otherwise you have to pay to unlock traits. Some dragons can only have 1 trait. Blightwing only has dark as a trait and cannot switch to any other trait.

And I've been trying to work out how to mess w @sbf's E3M, by using 'theta' instead of 'sigma' 😜 But theta is hard, circle w horizontal line thru it, and even if there is Greek symbol keyboard, can't see mesel switching just for that one letter, sigh and can't find it in my emoji menu either.... might have to stick w Eth 😉
