In other news, I'm thrilled that I was able to level up my Cold dragon to Elder! Thanks to this event, food comes much more quickly. I never imagined being able to do this so quickly- thought it would weeks to months. I love the look of Elder Cold, and the platinum shrine is awesome! Now I'm setting my sights on which dragon to Elder next...

Some 🐨 came to me! Yesterday I got a seraph using blazing gale and light in the EBI, and in the evening I tried water and garden, after many fails with earth and seaweed, and got a harvest the first time! I was really happy 😊
Though after that my luck was gone; my rift was set on cold so I tried cold and earth, but the frostfluff didn’t want to come...

Wow - repeated rounds of fiery figs chew through money INSANELY fast.

This hasn't been an issue so much in past Oms of Noms, because the events were much shorter, but I think this time we'll have to pace ourselves.

Also, not to be a cynic, but how much do you want to bet that right after we blow through all our cash reserves, they'll have a half-off sale on islands and obstacle clearing before starting BEB?

Wouldn't bet against it. That's why I'm keeping a modest buffer of 10 billion. If they release another island with a half-off sale, it's unlikely to be more expensive than that.

I am trying to keep $9 billion. I got my islands out of order, getting some of the expensive ones with wishes and at least one ot two during the last half off. My next island is $8 billion full price 👍👍😀😀. I may have two at that price even. 😍😍

Official whine: I am sooo frustrated trying for the Nubbleberries. I’ve made at least 30 attempts and the most I’ve gotten is the tease of one tower or another producing the odd Nubbleberry crop. The only message I’ve gotten from Gardenia is “Dragonroot is a tuber treat”. I’ve gotten the other ones, so I know my farm layout is ok. Decided I’d try whining and see if that works.

Yep: I've decided that when I drop toooo low in DC ( cos I'm stashing figs) is the right time to hatch and sell unwanted eggs from coop, and also go through hibernation cave and sell seconds and replace them with the twins...
It's a balancing act really 😆😳

It 'should' be straightforward; 1) make sure your farms are the upgraded towers
2) plant omega squash and zazzberry in alternating patches so they touch side by side, one at a time ( not replant all) I did this in all my  farms and used the 2 event farms for figs only
3) repeat about 5-6 times ( for me, more/less for some) refilling with the shorter hatch ( can't recall which one that is ) plant as it matures 
et voila! Non?!

I think it's a glitch - this whole treat rollout has been glitchy, with the new treats coming and going from the menus for no obvious reason.

If you look at the available treats to grow on the tower farms and the Nubbleberries are not grayed out, then you have them, regardless of whatever messages you've gotten. If you've gotten crops to turn into Nubbleberries multiple times but they are grayed out, then I'd say there's definitely something wrong in your park and maybe Backflip should get involved. (And I say this in sympathy, as someone with a park that remains stubbornly Nubble-less.)

It's also worth remembering that there's lot of money to be made by breeding light and dark dragons in the Rift. It's easy to get into "release" mode, especially when you're new in the Rift and strapped for etherium; once you build up a cushion, though, 1-3 million or more in cash is worth a lot more than a measly 100 etherium, especially right now. So sell, selll, sell!

Edited to add: Metal dragons are also lucrative. And if you're trying for Seraph in the Rift, Blazing is (for some odd reason) worth a million, so that's definitely worth selling, too.

I only *just* realized yesterday that I had been planting dragon FRUIT for the past er, few days, and not dragon ROOT, next to my pumpermelons to try to get cubetubers.
I then switched up and unlocked it on the first try. Oh boy. Can't believe I misread it and didn't realize for so long. 🙄

I guess my koala with getting a twin Seraph and then breeding a bogberry evens it out. 💁‍♂️

I had multiple times (dozens) where I got a Nubbleberry crop, but never got the unlock. I know people think something is broken, and you're hearing that it's easy to unlock, but it took me 3 days of constantly trying to finally get a success and it unlocked. And I still haven't gotten it on my alt park, but I'm only trying a few times per day. Just keep at it, as often as you can, and it will unlock.

It's like the Seraph dragon. I'm seeing so many posts about how easy it is to breed, especially with the rift breeding too. Yet will all those extra breeds and attempting it in 4 different parks, I don't have a single one. It's no easier or harder than any of the other limited dragons during these events and I'll likely have to end up buying it - as I do in most of the other events except when I get really lucky.

That's just it, people who get lucky love to share their story here. And of course it's so easy, cause they got lucky and it only took a few tries! There's probably 10+ people for each who post they got it, that haven't gotten it yet and are frustrated cause it appears everyone else is getting one.

Best advice I have on the crops, or dragons, is that it takes a while and just keep trying. Just on the crops, be sure you're doing it right cause this is a new mechanic. You have to have the 25 gem upgraded treat farms to unlock it, they have to be touching each other and sparkling. And if you have multiple all clustered together, you have more chances to unlock it with each planting. I think I did a 3x3 grid, did the longer growing crops along the middle line and the top and bottom were the short crops. Yes, you can unlock it just replanting the short ones while the long ones are still going. I figured each planting could have 2, 3, or even 6 possible attempts to unlock it each time.

I cannot, for the life of me, manage to breed a Seed dragon.😕
Been trying in the Rift for 3 days now, every breed all the way through the 2500E rounds, and in both regular dens in the Park. I've sped several of the Park fails up with gems, only to get more fails. That's a lot of fails. I didn't think Seed would be all that difficult to get, especially since I got a Seraph pretty quickly. Seed is the only event dragon I want (already have the other ones that I like). Why won't he come to me?😢 My nests are filled with stripey fails and have been for days. Sigh.

Edit: OMG IT WORKED!😳 No joke- about 10 minutes after posting this I went into my game to harvest crops and collect E and took one last crack at breeding Seed today:

Yay!🎉🎉🎉🐨🐨🐨  Whining works! Got 'em both this morning! When I got the second notification (Nubbleberries) it was still grayed out on the next planting but I tapped it anyway. Got the "We're Sorry...." message and the park reloaded. Then the Nubbleberries were available. Think I'll try fermenting them for Nubbleberry Whine.

It has come up a few times lately (looking for you yingying ) so I'm posting this here in case it's helpful to anyone: You can exchange 50 gems for DC in the market (~340 mil DC). 100 gems for a crop of fiery figs is actually a decent way to go for some of us.

To save a few spice points: If you are missing only Bogberry as an epic, the daily reward epic egg comes less than thirty days if you have been checking in daily.

I only am missing Bogberry and a crystalline so that is my plan if I need to spend elsewhere.

Oh, I get the probability thing - my other three parks unlocked the treats more or less easily. And in all my attempts, I've never gotten any indication that one of the crops has been replaced by Nubbleberries, so mine really IS bad luck - I don't have any reason to think there's a glitch at work. But I do think there's something wrong if the crop gets replaced repeatedly but never unlocked. It's as if the unlocking requires a box to be checked off that the message has been delivered, but since that box never gets checked, the crop never gets unlocked, even though the requirements have been met over and over again.
