I've always wondered what happens with the tv on DLS time. They never seem to skip an hour off the TV guide. Hope BFSers got a nice restful night of sleep. They are gonna be busy today..

I keep crashing in the races. I sometimes lose a turn, sometimes not.
My game is working weel, though have not tried the races, but my game crashes when I try to open the event calendar. It didn't domthat yesterday. Yesterday I could at least open the calendar, though yesterdays gift was not available. Sigh, lol.

After using way too many gems to speed up breeding in my co-op cave i had to face reality & buy my first rosebud w/eggs before she expires today at re-set.... was painful to see those eggs go so soon in the event, makes me very nervous! Like to save my eggs & use them at the very last possible moment when i know what is what ...
Got to say this dragon is another BF success...just gorgeous! Their designers/graphic artists are sooo talented! 👍🏻🏆🎖

Same here. After I wasted a bunch of gems speeding up breeds, activating Kairos twice and using 500 eggs in the Burcadian Cave, I had to buy Rosebud. I didn't have enough eggs for the pedestal. I agree it is a cool dragon.
My sundial did not reset either, though I can collect eggs for the day again. It's likely related to daylight savings time changes, and I expect it won't reset for another 45 minutes. If it doesn't then, it bugged out for the day. I'll hold off logging in my alt park until after the next hour, and see if that works correctly.
Note that not EVERYONE has daylight Savings time. Arizona, for example, does not jump ahead. Do other countries do it? That has to make it difficult for game creators to program around.
Most of Europe does, but on a different day to the US. 🙄 Our DV reset is an hour out from normal for 3 or 4 weeks a year.
How am I meant to breed my first chrysalis-habitat dragons? Each of these dragons seem to require each other to be bred...
Like Kiwichris said, you need to buy them first, I'm afraid. If you can't clone them off a friend you'll need to buy 4 to get the set: Three of the first set (Chrysalis, Swallowtail, Marbletail, Lacewing, and Duskwing) and one of the second (Glowwing and Starwing).
You also need to be careful which you get in the first set as some combinations won't allow you to get the last one. In the order I've got the first set written in (and imagine it loops back round to Chrysalis after Duskwing), DO NOT get three in a row or the combos won't work out.
If you don't want to work it out, Chrysalis/Marbletail/Duskwing would personally be my favoured combination.

On my lvl 25 baby park, I bred my Spirit (log in gift!) with a friend's level 10 Swallowtail and got the amazing 41hr 20min timer!
It will go in the Hibernation Cave, along with any other Chrysalis dragons that I fluke, until I open the next tier and can get a habitat.

Thank you all for your answers! I have made an excel spread sheet to see what I need to breed the dragons from this event (so far, I have none). I'm currently trying to breed the ovalith dragon and I'm also trying to clone mono-4 so I can get the other monos... I'm still trying to decide which dragon I should buy, because I need so many of them!
I just got rosebud. Practically down to the wire. I used Dandelion in the coop with a friend's rosebud. Amazing. I'm not sure that has ever happened to me before. Getting something pretty much at the last minute I mean. Awesome. I got a traited celtic yesterday. Wow. Koalas have made a rare appearance in my park. Happy me. I guess i will try for rainbow in the rift next. I don't have a rift panlong or bloom and they are not available to breed at the moment so ovalith is out for the foreseeable future. But I consider myself fortunate no matter how things go from here for this event.
vonfirmath Don’t applaud us down here in Florida yet! Our house passed the Sunshine Protection Act to have permanent DLS, but our governor hasn’t signed it yet. According to the Fed, we can opt out of springing forward and falling behind, but we can’t spring forward and stay there! Can you imagine, Florida, already secluded as we are down here, barely hanging above sea level (which is 13 feet at my house lol), while the rest of the world is on Standard time, we will still be one hour ahead! Crazy politicians 🤪

Hi everyone, I have quit Dragonvale. Apologies to my gem-friends, some of whom are on this forum. The current meta requires multiple daily logins, and . I just don't want to be so tied down to my phone any more.
I started playing a month after the game came out. But the last few months since the Rift came out have felt like a chore rather than a game, and I can't continue. I leave with fond memories of this forum! And with 11 billion dragoncash, 250 million treats, 3500 gems, maxed islands and so on.
onejoebloggs, Sorry to see you go but I do understand wanting to take a break. Maybe after a bit you’ll feel like jumping back in. If you do, be sure to come back before BEB. You’ll find trying for a bunch of dragons you missed to be fun and a challenge. We will miss you!

I was able to open both gifts in the Sundial of Surprise (Day 4 and Day 5) just now (I could not open Day 4 yesterday and it started to throw me out of the game when I would click on the Sundial). I didn't have pay any gems or anything else. Looks like they fixed the glitch...

New dragon coming and appears to be of the rattlesnake variety. Don’t think it’s another event dragon but since I just spent eggs, it may be. Golden hybrid, maybe?

I managed to get a Rosebud in the Co-Op using a friend's Rosebud and a Rose dragon. So I'm assuming at this point that all of the event dragons can be breed if at least one of the parents is that dragon (e.g., Cumberpath+Tansy should have a chance to yield a Cumberpath). The event FAQ says "If you or a friend already has one of these new dragons, there is a small chance of breeding another one by using that dragon as one of the parents in the regular Breeding Cave, Breeding Island, or Cooperative Breeding Cave." So that seems to say that you can breed them, as long as one of them is the parents...I hope I haven't been mis-reading the FAQ! I've been trying to co-op breed a Cocoahollow, so hopefully this is possible!
I wonder if the teaser is for a new Rift Dragon...or could it be something that will help us breed the rift-traited Hidden dragons? My guess is that this won't be the second limited time dragon for this event...at least I'm hoping it won't be. I feel like they've done this before, release a non-event dragon during an event...

Been sick all weekend, but managed to collect the max eggs every day. Forgot to purchase Rosebud until Monday morning. "Perfect! I have 30 minutes before reset!", I thought. Oops. DST has begun.
DOH! Looks like I'll need to get lucky with some co-op breeding...

ARGH! So, I was going to pop in during lunch, try a few sped-up breedings in the co-op cave with friends Rosebuds, then buy it if that failed. Then things go busy, and when was I finally able to log on?? 1:03 EST, three minutes after Rosebud left the market! I guess I’ll be spending the rest of the event trying to co-op breed it...grumble, grumble...
