15 tries with Fire Rift and Dark Rift got me 0 Yolkwing, 28,440,000 DC (I sell anything over 1,000,000) and 100 E from 1 release of a Fire Rift. All of my fails except for the fire rift were either dungeon or watch. And I also have earned my max for today on eggs thanks to all the rift breeding.
Kimiko I will try your combos next tires (probably tomorrow)
Got mine with storm (lightning trait) and frostfire (fire trait). Also got a rainbow with fire trait, spring with metal trait and blue Moon with fire trait using this combo today so a very good day in the rift for me today!

Trying to decide what to spend my loot on. I wish I would have gotten Rosebud- been trying for it in the Coop non-stop since it came out with no luck. Also wish we could buy more than one Gemstone habitat.
Think I am going to get Cumberpatch as the last calendar prize, so that leaves three choices: Bilby, Cocoahollow, and Stoneshell (the only other dragon I'm missing from this lot). That's 18,480 total, so I'm going to be a little short. Usually, I'd just spend a couple bucks and buy the eggs, but I do not want to spend money this time. I don't like the changes and feel like spending money on the event would signal acquiescence or, even worse, approval.
Wondering if it would be worth the risk to spend a few thousand in the event breeding den trying for Cocoahollow? Or maybe Cumberpatch (need to look to see which one has better odds). There's nothing else I really need or want from the Shop (aside from a couple pedestals- which is boring), and if I am going to be short on the third dragon, anyways ...
I cannot remember: do we get to collect one or two days worth of banked eggs? I might have enough if it's two days.

Bilby costs more than Cumberpatch, so better to get that reward from the Calendar.
Do we have any days to collect from the Social menu in this event? The way I read it, we don’t - the tip says “The Eggstraordinary Egg Hunt runs through April 2nd” but it doesn’t say that we’ll have xx number of days after that to collect from the Social menu and collect prizes. I read that as saying that after I get to my max on April 2, I’d better buy everything I intend to buy before the event day ends.

Ok, logic testing time: so if I can't breed Yolkwing in the rift in the time it's available, with the E I have available, then it's best I buy it from limited tent within same timeframe, It's a little cheaper than Bilby, Bilby should? be able to be coop bred after the event, but Yolkwing can only be bred in the Rift... Check? Cos entire event ends in one more day (here, anyway, last gift square is tomorrow) although Yolkwing may return w BeB or mini BeB events too....

Kiwichris Check. Bilby's clone rate seems to be pretty lousy but it's nonzero, and I feel that makes Yolkwing a better buy if you don't get it in tomorrow's Rift breeds.
Bilby costs more than Cumberpatch, so better to get that reward from the Calendar.
Thank you for pointing that out!
With the 750 eggs we got today from the calendar, plus the 1000 from banked, I'll be able to juuust squeak out all four dragons– but only by using the last Reward for Bilby. If I picked Cumberpatch, as originally planned, I'd be short.

Off topic question: how can I quote a reply post without including the original post? Like above- I wanted to just quote CesspitX's reply. Simply deleting the OP left that box.

Aaah. Thank you. I wasn't backspacing quite far enough since the cursor jumps up to the next line without deleting the box, first. Thought it was going to start deleting the other quote. It's kinda weird how that works.

Hey one of my baby parks bred a new dragon in the rift (yolk?). It was listed in the limited prizes section only after it was bred. I do not remember getting notice of new limiteds though I found the monoliths were there and no notice of them either. None of my other parks showed the yolk dragon at all. Anyone else notice this?
haw , Congrats on getting a Yolkwing! 🥚🐉. Hopefully when it’s available, it will be just as easy for the rest of us to breed. Nice to see you posting, don’t be a stranger. P.S. Thank you kindly for your generosity regarding Gems, Treats, and Eggs! How many parks do you have? I need to come visit them all .
Thank you and you are welcome to visit anytime. I do have 3 parks (each on different device), and each of those have 3 baby parks. Did in prep for transition from GameCenter to FaceBook, so I could maintain gem gifting even if I lost friends list. As it turns out I have extra gems & treats, so will randomly give extras just for fun and thanks for breeding. Was pretty stressful for a while when game was very unstable and considered quitting. But things have gotten better and am able to relax and enjoy again. Not sure about gambling component. Will wait and see what direction it goes. Love reading the posts here and lurking! Happy Holidays to all of you that observe Easter. For those that don’t I hope you enjoy the beginning of Spring.

How much does it cost to upgrade the 3rd chrysalis habitat? The one you can buy with eggs. And can you upstage with eggs or gems? There's one in the market that you can buy for 250 gems so I am seeing which is the better purchase. Thank you!!!!!!!!

The egg market one is the smallest one, so it upgrades twice for 150 then 225 gems. And you can just buy the giant form for 225 gems in the regular market which saves you both gems and eggs. So get that one.
Fun rant time! The market version is worse than pointless; it is actively counterproductive. Straight up buying the 250 gems for the Giant habitat costs the same as buying the eggs for the basic does in doubles. I'd accuse them of doing it deliberately but I have to self-invoke Hanlon's Razor here and think they probably just didn't notice. If they were really trying for that, then they'd have taken the Giant habitats out of the normal market so people getting their first Chrysalides had to buy the egg one. ...I hope I'm not giving anyone there ideas. 😒

thank you so much for the insight. One follow up question does the market one count against the habitat limit?

PSA PSA PSA DC for eggs comparison as a way to use up surplus eggs for a better eggschange rate than BFS usually offer... This time it's 1egg for 1000dc
Rosebud exp Yolkwing ltd buy for 1300eggs :: sell for 250,000dc Cumberpatch buy for 960eggs :: sell for 1,750,000dc *Bilby buy for 995eggs :: sell for 2,200,000dc (2200000 divided by 995 = 2211, so over double the BFS rate) Cocohollow buy for 1020eggs :: sell for 1,500,000dc
Seems to my math challenged brain that buying a stash of Bilby pedestals to sell later is the best option. Now, not sure whether the sell value might decrease after the event (just being paranoid), so maybe buy and sell on final day...
Usual caveat of no guarantees I have this correct, offered with best intentions etc etc

Buying 2 Glowwing or Starwing pedestals for 500 eggs and then selling should net you 3,000,000 DC ... I believe.
