Oh, and there was no counter tracking any of this. You had to track it yourself, and know your point totals and what was left in each area! Sometimes you had to harvest 50-100 farms to get that final 2 points with diminishing returns, always doubting yourself and thinking you may have counted wrong. Getting to the 'max' per day was a serious chore.

Ahhh, yes. Pumper melons were always my treat of choice to grow. Even with  waiting the 6 hour harvest time, I almost always got all points within three harvests, Much better odds than those snap dragons, lol..... and then going through the park again and again and again and again for those last points, to ensure I had enough for all those little prizes so I could get the final prize...The Event Dragon!!!

my gosh, those were tough events, now I visit my park once and max out. I never even visit friends and bank all my gift egg/berries/roses etc.

There were times I set my alarm to wake up in the middle of the night just to breed dragons for event currency! And yesterday, I came across an old notebook with pages and pages of notes from event collecting for our two parks. 😲

By the way, weren’t there 5 monolith cubes in the market. I can only find 4 right now.

Heh heh. I am inordinately pleased at managing to end at 0 currency available to spend. (Got some backlogged in gifts, but that doesn't count.)

This event went fairly well for me. I didn't use the new cave much except to breed rosebud, I managed to get 2 of every dragon and a pedestal of each, I'm 4 twins away from having blue fire again, 5 rift versions away from having at least 1 of each (which includes ovarift, I'm now beginning to think it will have to come from those gem mystery eggs in the Rift), and I have at least one rift Monolith hatched and pedestal. After I finish up on the rift versions that I'm missing, I'll be focusing on getting the rift pedestals of some epics and limiteds that I hatched.
How'd it go for everyone else? Is there anything you will be missing out on once it ends?

Lol. Not an Event Dragon hehe, but the prize dragon that was associated with the event. And believe me, it wasn’t nice at all. Those early events were very hard to complete without having to buy event currency. We could only earn 100 points per day and they were limited to the  amount you could get in each area, and you HAD to find all the points in order to get all the prizes. Example, you earn 20 points from collecting from habitats. The points would pop up very randomly, so you might have to collect 5-7 times a day to “find” all the points. I was literally glued to my phone, hoping real life didn’t interfere too much🤦🏻‍♀️   Then, as we found the event points, the prizes were automatically given in order. First we would get a decoration or two, then maybe a new path, then a dragon egg pedestal, a habitat and finally, if we managed to get enough points, the event dragon as the final prize. Some Valers don’t care or want all the decorations and complained about the difficulty.  I think it prompted BFS to change the format of the events to what we have now, to be able to pick and choose our prizes. 😊

Okay, that helps me understand it better. I did think you referred to there being only one new dragon in an event, so less pressure “to get them all”.
But this old collecting method and order of gift giving does NOT sound like less pressure at all!

Only one dragon. But a lot more pressure, yes.

Only one dragon. But a lot more pressure, yes.

I missed some collecting some days (even doubles!) this event. And still managed to get every dragon (And I bred none of the new ones. Had to buy them all with eggs) and every still available egg at the end of the event, plus a lot of Hidden eggs I missed the last time around.

Lol, me too! I missed this past Friday and only collected half of Saturday and the still had enough to buy one of each event dragon and a couple of extra habitats. I wasn’t able to breed any of the dragons, but was able to breed for the peds and got a couple of twins from friends. I totally boycotted the burcadian breeding cave, viva la resistance! 😉  I even bought ten extra peds to sell @1,500,000 each and just got 37 mill DC for my friends gift eggs.  All on visiting my park no more than twice a day.  No stress at all! 🐨🥚🐰🐓🐨

For the last few Events, I have been able to get at least 75% of the Daily Limit on my 1st Trip through my Park. This included hatching/selling eggs, finishing Quests, finding all the Eggs, playing Dragon Drop (spinning the wheel could sometimes yield more points if my ‘timing’ was right), collecting Coliseum & Magical Greenhouse.

I gave myself a few hours for the 2nd trip in order to allow Treats to grow & Coins to accumulate. This would normally yield the Daily Limit. I would however, visit the Rift* frequently (if I could remember to) in order to collect Rift points and Eggs in the process.

Some days, if I felt lazy, I would collect friends Eggs to get to the Daily Limit.

On my 3rd (and usually my last trip through the park) I got everything organized for the next day’s collection.

At the beginning of each event, I set up a ‘Numbers’ spreadsheet which compares the Event Prizes I want (Dragons & Peds mostly) against the eventual ending accumulation of Eggs and an updated Actual Daily accumulation of Eggs. This allows me to see, on a daily basis, what Eggs I will accumulate against what Eggs I will need.**

*I always bred up to the point where it cost 1,000 Rift points. I never used the Burcadian Breeding Cave. I never use the Airship.

Oh my Wizards, I went through sooo many notebooks keeping tally marks and cost projections for the old events lol. And park plans and dragon lists and friends lists and  breeding combos......

Very sad! Haven’t opened my two as of yet. Hoping for a twin Bilby as I used the last day’s gift for a twin Cocoahollow so twin Bilby is the only one I missed. Been trying on and off for two weeks and ended up breeding 7 or 8 (lost count) regular Bilbys and nary a twin in sight! Bilby twin odds must be .00001%!*#*! Did anyone BREED a twin Bilby?

I only got mine from the event calendar daily prizes (for Day 20). Sorry for the bad luck, that's how it's been for me trying to get a twin Satin since V Day....

I was wanting to breed a twin Satin, but couldn't find anyone with one in the coop! I'll keep looking, and if one appears in there I shall pounce swiftly before he/she disappears.

Thankyou for that oh kiwi king. I've sped a couple through so far, but no luck yet. I'll try for a couple of days, spending more gems, but don't leave yours there anylonger than that as you may want to pursue other elusive dragonlets.
