It's currently ordered alphabetally based on the @ tag, which is tied to the forum and static. Yes, it puts me up near the top; no, that's not why I did it.

In the first post, the link to each person’s message is brilliant. It’ll definitely prevent a clutter of posts for add requests and return add confirmations.

Soon, this thread will probably just be filled with specific requests for dragons in the co-op and posts from players looking for daily gem/food exchanges. In the meanwhile, I hope it won’t be too much work updating the post with players who want to share their Friend ID. Thank you so much for all your work on this!

Hello everyone. I’ve been a lurker for a while on this forum and have always been impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone is.

I have been thinking about registering before but this new friending system has finally encouraged me to register. It is a very exciting feature and not before time.

Currently I have two parks that I look after – I inherited my daughter’s park recently as she tired of Dragonvale. Perhaps not so much Dragonvale, more that the game kept crashing on her phone.

Both parks are at max level. My park has all dragons, with the exception of some ghostlies and the newest event dragons. Because my daughter’s park was unattended for a couple of weeks, she is missing some of the latest surface dragons, Quintessence and some of the ghostlies.

Neither of us use FaceBook so both parks need gem and food friends. The few friends that we did have are no longer playing.

@Quil I hope you don’t mind, I sent your wife a friend request from both parks. Both parks could exchange gems & food with her if she is interested.

The park IDs are : MinyaZ #9443 and Grasshoppa #5513

I would love some more gem and food friends, as well as friends for co-op breeding.

I, too, am a long-time lurker/long-time player. I'm super excited about the new friending system!

Hopefully, this is a positive indication that the game is alive and well for the immediate future, if Backflip felt it was worth the effort to set this up.

I'd love to add friends for co-op breeding...

Just a note to everyone: I highly recommend that if you want to add lots of people as your friend, you not only post your friend id but also go ahead and add people from the list / recent posts using 'Add Friend' to your park at the same time. There's no notifications so you're not bothering anyone by doing so, and that way if they add you back it's done and there's no need to send a message asking you to add them too.

I've already gone through and added everyone on my account (Quil#0102) and my wife's account (Shadyr#8844), so you can just add us back if you've already posted here and want another friend! I skipped a couple that were already GC friends - I wonder what happens if you add them a second time in the new system?

I'll keep up with the list here, at least for now, and add anyone else posting their parks too.

Quil  Thank you for adding me. I have returned gifts to your wife's park. I know that you said you are full with your gift giving friends, but at the moment I have a surplus, which you are welcome to - no strings attached.  

You can never have too many gems or treats and it seems a shame not to gift them.

Thank you for the add! To answer your prior question, I have successfully added someone. Since it’s so new, the process understandably needs a little tweaking. When someone adds you, you unfortunately don’t get a notification that they’ve send a friend request. They have to tell you outside of the game so you’ll know to add them. When you add them, they’ll get a push notification indicating that you’re now their friend. You won’t get a notification, but you’ll see their name in your Friends list. If you’ve sent each other gems/treats, you may have to close and reopen the game for it to show in the Gifts menu. So for me to add you, so we can be DV friends, I’ll need your Friend ID so I can add you back. 🤪

Ok, apologies if I’m late to the festival and this has already been posted, but I couldn’t find it on my catch up rush read

to get a pink link, for insertion in your profile, personal, signature panel (those are the steps here in the forum)
in dv, steps are  friends, invite friends, tap share link, and it will say ‘link copied’ and that’s it, go straight to your profile here, and tap, paste, and voila! it’s there 🐨

sorry but but I cannot yet work out how to turn it into a pink link in the table OP

Since all my facebook friends had first and last names, I did accidentally send some requests to forum members I was already friends with (just didn't know their forum ID). In my park it added in parentheses the DV ID to the facebook name already in my Friends List and added the red X to the right.  That sounds confusing, right? Example, facebook friend Jane Doe now is listed as Jane Doe (whatever#xxxx).  

Just sent a request to your wife's account, and it's showing up in my Friends List as Shadyr#8844 with a red ! on it. I hadn't messaged you yet to ask for an add, so something's changing in-game.
(edited to say never mind Quil...I just saw you'd already added everyone who posted, so guess that's why her friend request already showed up on my list.)
