When you add a friend's id in game, you need to let the other player know that you have added them as they also need to send you a friend request. They do not get a notification that someone has added them.
There are instructions on how to add friends on the first post of this thread.
I have two parks that I will send you a friend request from. If you add me, you will receive a notification when we are friends. 😊
