Man, I've been a long time lurker here, and my first proper post may end up being my last. This is getting ridiculous, the game feels more like a chore to do now. All the events for the last year have been frustrating and unfair. Event dragons being unbreedable, constant events, event dragons costing more than we can ever feasibly get, those aggravating decorations. I despise the direction this game has taken. I can't stand it anymore, the game is no longer fun for someone who isn't a whale.



I've played this game for years now, but now I can't find any joy in playing it. I mean, look at this event. We may have the ability to get unlimited event currency, but we're limited on how much we get from our habitats. Normal breeding and eggs don't give us any, and we have a limited amount of attempts at the games. Honestly, this isn't unlimited currency, it may be the most limited we've been on event currency in quite a while. Then the dragons, with 10 new dragons, if they're all going to be around 15,000 currency like the current ones, we would need over 150,000 event currency. We can't even breed them normally, and then can only keep one if we're lucky enough to breed them in the new cave. That's not even counting they may add some annoying ghostly dragons or new limited elementals.



I apologize with how negative I'm being, but enough is enough. Every event is filled with bugs at the start, and support doesn't seem to care anymore. Backflip (Hasbro) doesn't care about us casual players anymore. I'm just sick and tired of it, and it kills me to see my once favorite game in this shape.

It seems you would be able to choose a twin or rift version which is awesome! I only have bred regular versions of primary dragons, but it offers me twin versions of those. This might be a great chance to go after something that has been hard to get in the twin or rift form.

Another thing to keep in mind before doing too many breeds:

Will double days double the bonus from the cave breeding? If so, doing plant+plant today would net you an instant 100, but if you wait for a doubles day you'll get 200. Seems like you want to save all the quick breeds for a double day if that's the case. I've already wasted a bunch of quick ones already, so I hope not...

For example, poison dragons are 30 min. 1 point.

Bonescale is 22h, I'd expect 44 points. Got 45.
Geode is 23h, I would expect 46 points but got 48.

At least it gives you a rough idea. There may be extra points added based on rarity, etc that make up the difference in numbers.

So the trick would be to breed short times, but different breeds to get the 100 point bonus....

This basically gives us who are going for blue fire a good chance to get a one twin we don't have. I kinda like this new revamp of the Burcadian Cave.

Epic dragons appear to throw my numbers off (1 point per 30 minutes). I saw a note from someone who got an Oly Bronze dragon (35 hrs) and would expect to get 70 to 72 points. They got 50. It's possible that it caps at 50, or that Epics have different rules.

Leap Year 14.5 hrs = 50 eggs if that helps.

Is Cocoahollow breedable?

Cocoahollow has a green hour glass so it should be breedable.

I think you can get eggs you normally can’t get with just the right elements. I just bred Quintessence + Quintessence with a 40 hour breed time - 75% reduction and ended up with 10 hours even. Nothing except Monolith 5 has that timer that is available. Interesting... Will update in the morning. I already used Kairos.

Update - I think this is actually a Quintessence since other people reported an 80% reduction rather than the 75% that is listed on the FAQ.

I noticed the Breeding Sandbox has combos for the five new Chrysalis dragons. Those only work in the Burcadian Breeding Cave, correct? Otherwise, they have to be purchased with Magic Eggs?

So how do the limited times factor into this?
When you look up,breeding hints in the B cave, there are lines of counting down time limited options...
I can’t follow this at all atm...

oh, update...duh, it seems these are the usual availability countdowns of each of those limited dragons, for if you want to try for them for points...

Only can get 500 a day from habitats. Unlimited for everything else. A nice compromise

Thank god they got rid of the breeding cave from last year that you had to pay eggs to use

So has anyone paid the 5 gems to do another game in the arcade? I’m curious what is in a golden chest that you are 100% guaranteed to get if you pay the 5 gems. I would understand if no one wants to pay 5 gems until a double weekend (May as well get more bang for your gems). If anyone actually pays the gems and gets a chest, would you post and let the rest of us know what is in it.

Of course I had to try it, once. I got three chests with food. I saw one other post about getting a chest with a random egg (not a new event dragon). Certainly not worth it for gems unless you really want the extra points that day. I'd rather save my gems and use them to clone anything I miss!

Am I silly for thinking full-on scatter-shot breeding two rainbow types is a decent lazy-man's strat for the event cave? >->

Also I'm still peeved the two rifted chrysalis types I got last time around are next-door neighbors and can't bootstrap to anything else. <-<

Where did these breeding combos come from?  There are no breeding hints for the new dragons, and the Dragonarium says they can only be purchased with eggs. Is the DV Sandbox some kind of Oracle?  And has anybody actually bred one of any of these to confirm it?
