I noticed it doesn't fill in missing rifted ones. If you already have all Gemstone/Crystallline Dragons (it can be a combination of regular and rifted ones), it's likely it will give you a random rifted twin. It's only if you are missing every version of a given dragon do you get it (Well at least are supposed to get it).
not really, in the mystery egg description it says that it’s possible to get duplicates. So it’s really regular, twin, twin rift, twin rift, twin rift, and on forever.

There is no description for the Daily Reward Mystery Egg. They operate differently from the mystery eggs you purchase from the Rift or receive from events. Unless Backflip very recently changed the rules for the daily reward egg, and the dragon you receive is always random, or they’re now withholding specific dragons from the eggs, portent78 should’ve received Rigel.
portent78, Backflip likely forgot to add Rigel to the mystery eggs because Rigel was part of the Star Fall micro-nano-event, not the Easter event. The new limited Easter dragons immediately transferred to the mystery eggs, probably as part of the event takedown. But the Star Fall 'event' was so uneventfully short everyone forgot about it, and Rigel was left behind.

My log-in mystery egg was a Twin Jade. Only dragons I am missing are the new chrysalis dragons (Gildaman, Faux, Busby, Dittoglide, Rhinotorch), and Rigel. Might seem like they haven't made them 'available' to receive yet.

If you received a twin Jade, then your Daily Reward Mystery Egg was from the Gemstone/Crystalline category. Unless you’re missing some Gemstone/Crystalline dragons, you were rewarded as expected with a twin. Had your logon reward been the Daily Reward Epic Mystery Egg, you would’ve received one of the new Chrysalis dragons you’re missing from the event.
It appears the new Chrysalis dragons were relegated to the mystery eggs during the event takedown, because players were reporting they received the new Chrysalis dragons from mystery eggs hours after the event concluded on 17 May. The good new is you’ll get one of the dragons you’re missing when the Daily Reward Epic Mystery Egg rolls back around.

Also available in rift form now according to the Dragonarium.
Meanwhile I'm still struggling to breed another Pearlescent using it + another dragon. Goes back to the days of breeding a 2nd Chromacorn. Although I got it relatively fast, I know many bred for weeks/months... IMO when you have one, getting a second shouldn't be this hard if you're using it in the combo. It's only when you breed same + same it becomes really easy.

I was unsuccessful the entire event with breeding any of the new chrysalis dragons, but i think i just got the timer for busby and for rhinotorch!
So weird and random...
Unflortunately, Kairos is not ready to advance the clock, so i will just wait to see what comes out of the caves.
if you want to, you can use the trick with the icon of the new friend system. go in the social menu, invite friends, change icon, see list of dragons if your breeding will result in a Busby/Rhinotorch it will be in the list of possible icons, otherwise not. exit without changing the icon (or change it if you want to) this works directly after starting a breed.

Thanks for the tip, and i'll keep it in mind for future "unknown" breeding times.
I did get the rhinotorch, but not the busby. Rhinotorch came out of the epic cave today, before i saw your tip, and i checked the icon friend system, but busby was not shown there. I did not want to believe that i didn't get the busby, so silly me spent 10 gems to have a lacewing revealed as the egg.
<sigh>
Well, at least i got the rhinotorch, and i'll keep working on busby, serket, and trilobite, since we can breed them all (YaY!).
