If it’s any consolation; I decided to just ignore the dress up yer dragons idea totally, and just treated this event as a new-normal over abundance of limited dragon gem gouging Overlord Marathon... you can tell I’m jes lovin it, right?😈😈😈

That is the same seven letter word starting with B that I thought of too when I saw the new dragon.
They are such beautifully designed dragons, I wish that BFS wouldn't release them so quickly so that we can really appreciate them, rather than being in a never ending rush to acquire them.
It appears a guaranteed golden chest with every game is over, but it was awesome while it lasted.
Even though it was expected, it was still disappointing to see the flurry of chests disappear. But on the bright side, the chests do seem to be appearing much more frequently in the free games. I’ve already received several in the last couple days, which is a huge difference from once every 7 to 10 days. And the odds for the chests are still good. Yesterday, I managed to get an unowned piece from a free game — that never would’ve happened two weeks ago.
Half your luck. I haven't seen one chest since they took the guaranteed golden chests away. I was seeing them reasonably regularly before though.
Looks like it will be back to using gems to buy a few free games every day.

As my 12 year old loves to say in these situations... This is so dumb...
I may not have the breeding fortune of Arkynos or the golden chest luck of amos , but I did manage to breed twin Bastions with Quil ’s on the second try (Ghostly Cold elder + Bastion). Thanks for the Bastion loan, Quil!
Fortunately, Kairos had just become ready, so insta-incubated Bastion, fed it till full, and now Basty is available in the co-op for anyone who needs it. Koala madness to all!

So I'm getting the 24.5 hour timer on cloning a riptide, and there's nothing else it could be with that timer and combo. The egg/dragon/icon is not showing under invite friends - change icon. Did they finally fix this little trick in finding out if you got a new dragon?
At last, I was able to test this out today and the nifty icon trick still worked in my game when I bred Dash and Bastion. Maybe it was a temporary blip.

I figured out the issue, I was using the sandbox site to determine outcomes and it was missing that Totem was currently available and a 24.5 hour dragon.
PSA to anyone still trying to breed Misfortune: The event theme is now Dawn, so you'll need to manually change it to a nighttime theme if you want to have a chance of success.
Aaaand that means I can't breed Misfortune because I haven't gotten the Twilight Tower (or the Weather Station for that matter) since they're expen$ive using crystals and every time they've popped up in an event I've needed the currency more elsewhere more. /grump
Ah well, did get a Bastion in the rift already (Light Rift + Hail) and I'll be attempting to clone it because I ain't binge-feeding a rifted dragon up to 20 sorry. :-P Plus I've got a *ton* of event currency so I'll probably just outright buy it at some point here if they don't stop messing with the solar cycle.

It looks like this event is going to tap out at around 2 1/2 months. I don’t know if this will be the longest event ever, but it sure feels like is! For me, the length of the event + the difficulty in getting spellforms (for most of the event) + my relative indifference to the whole idea of spellforms = 1 big long slog. Please, BFS, give us a break after this! I’d love it if we didn’t have any more events until Whitbee’s next thing.

It is an absolutely dangerous, self-defeating policy to design a game that will make people feel as though every single day was their last day in it (they swear) and expect INVESTMENT.
I am in shock, somehow the koalas smiled on me this morning, I have 24-hour Bastion timers in BOTH parks' co-op caves (Florescent and someone's Bastion in one, Lightning and someone's Quantum in the other). ooh, now I can try the "invite friends/change icon" trick, I am finding it hard to believe there isn't another 24-hour dragon for that combo waiting to pop out like Forge always did for Armament. After so much slog, maybe the event will end on a high note.
Pro tip: For anyone who still needs Rigel and a lot of these new event dragons in rift form or even regular ones, try playing around with breeding galaxy dragon + galaxy dragon. They have a lot of unique element combinations you can use to get these while simultaneously trying for Rigel (you can look up epic primary elements on the DV wiki).
For example, I still need a Rigel pedestal and rift versions for most of these so a good combo I found is Antarian + Comet. Allows me to go for Rigel, Arnament, Sparkles, Vangaurd, and Bastion at the same time while adding no extra elements.

I just bred Bastion in the Rift with Tempest (Lightning) and Florescent (Cold) at 2,000 purple stuff. I find that is the magic amount for breeding something interesting. May the Rift Koalas be with you all.
