Witness the golden chests sans the event pieces. Also, I have not gotten one dragon I need during Bring 'em Back. Not a twin, not a pedestal, not even in the rift. Nothing. Nada. This reason they have come up with for hatching dragons one does not need grows tiresome. Playing this game and getting nothing grows tiresome. I don't understand why I keep doing it.

Assuming nagini’s interpretation is correct, I think I’m going with the same strategy.  I’m tired of throwing my gems away to get food, cash and the ever-increasingly-frequent duplicate costume pieces.  I’m going to focus on breeding dragons (imagine that!) and see what the overall situation is when we get to the end of the event.  If it looks attainable then, perhaps I’ll try to throw gems at enough costume pieces to cover what I can’t buy spending magic on magic chests.  Besides, the more costume pieces are available, the lower your chances of getting blasted duplicates.

This is my least favorite event ever, and it’s not even close.  Anyone who doesn’t have a huge cache of gems is just out of luck getting the costume pieces.  There really ought to be some other way to get them!  Expecting to get any playing the daily games is just setting yourself up for a daily dose of disappointment.  I’ve only gotten one (maybe) two chests during regular game play, and of course, neither of them had pieces.  At least Hasbro could pretend that this wasn’t an attempt to drain our gem stashes.  This is just mean-spirited!  Where’s the fun in this?  And 50 magic for selling duplicate pieces?  That means selling 30 of them will allow you to buy one magic chest.  Do you know how many gems you have to blow in order to get 30 duplicates?  Absurd!

So they're planning to add a new set of enchantments to the existing pool of the 4 dragons every time a new limited is released..... With new pieces not being guaranteed, you're essentially gonna have to complete the set over and over and over again and we know that's not easy. And if the pieces do not go away with the limited dragon, well the pool of pieces is gonna get bigger and bigger aka a hell of a lot more gems to complete!! It's a lose lose situation for us but I'd rather go with the later of two evils.

This has gotta be the biggest gem scam they've done yet! Somehow when I think they have reached the peak of greediness, they manage to top themselves with a new scheme to get players to fork out even more gems than last time.

I have not gotten any chests in the free game chances.

I paid out about 800 of my carefully collected gems for additional "name the egg" games, and have gotten 27 of the 36 pieces (have about 8 duplicate pieces) and have only completed Outrider.

I'm not sure if I'm going to spend anymore, even though they were all free gems, because i think what BFS is doing is just crummy.
They should take the stament off of the loading screen that states that "all dragons are breedable given enough time and patience," because it is clearly no longer true.
Ahh-haa! could they be sued for "false advertising?"

Ahhh.... reading about all this frustration has made me feel a bit better.  Cause it means I’m not the only one.

So far I’ve gotten two chest opportunities in regular play. I’m actually able to win a chest about one out of three times if I pay 5 gems. Of the 10 chests I’ve won, 3 had pieces and the other 7 were food and dragon cash and some token amount of magic. Blech! And you can’t even use magic to buy the dragons until you have the pieces. This event falls well outside my definition of “fun”. It’s not even close to “fun”. If I wanted to play a gambling game, I would download one of the casino apps.

I guess my strategy will be to breed what I can in the coop and rift. I’ll see what I have at the end of the event and buy chests or make the decision to squander more gems at that point.

I really hope you have more success with this event than I’ve had up to this point.

Um.  Light Rift and Forge, looks like.  Also looks like one of my nests got a second Armament as well, that was Light and I *think* Molten but I can't swear to the latter (confident about the Light though).

Ooooh, I would love that!  Those decorations take up so much space, it would be great to just have like a bigger one of each that would hold them all!!!

Just had a scary thought...you could go through this entire event, max out every single day and could still walk away with zero new event dragons the way this is set up. 😱

I have not bought a habitat with event currency up to now.
As far as I know, they all can be bought normally in the market.
The text in the event habitats didn't say something about not counting gainst the cap - so they are just the "normal" habitats.
Concerning the Giant Olympus habitat there is the equivalent in the market for 50 gems, But in the market is also a Giant Olypus reward habitat for 75 gems. This does not count against the cap and can hold more DC than the normal Giant habitat.

Maybe when the event comes to an end I will have spare magic with which I can't buy a dragon (not all costumes or not enough), then I might consider buying habitats ...

I'm on par to do just that. I'm an old player who lost the joy quite some time ago but I've invested too many years in the game to quit. I've collected max magic every day so far - in both of my parks - and have not received a single chest from the games. So I stopped by the forum to see what I am doing wrong. Apparently I'm not doing anything wrong except failing to toss gems into the void. I'll take my bad attitude and go quietly.

The daily currency cap for this event desperately needs to be lifted. There never should have been a cap, or the cap should’ve been ridiculously high like 10k (similar to the Xmas event), an amount most players will realistically never hit.

This event needs to be modelled more after the Winter Saga. Paying gems for extra mini-game plays should guarantee Spellform pieces even if they’re duplicates, just like the Xmas event with evolve decorations. Yes, we received lots of duplicate decorations, but we had a much higher chance of getting the rare, missing decos we needed because all the chests ONLY had evolve decorations. And with a 10k cap it was easy to purchase chests for the remaining missing pieces. Please stop it already with the DC and treats nonsense. Nobody wants to spend five gems for DC and treats, items we easily earn every day simply by playing the game.

The new dragons are stunning. As usual, the designs stand out, and enhancements is an interesting, bright idea. But no Spellform pieces in paid chests and the currency cap are killing the mechanics of the event. At the very least, with no daily Magic cap, players would have the option to either spend gems on mini-games or play frequently to earn enough Magic so they can buy the chests that guarantee an unowned piece. Maybe it wouldn’t matter and they still wouldn’t be able to complete an outfit, maybe not. But the cap squashes any chance of that opportunity.

Is anyone else having a hard time getting to the daily max?
I cannot seem to reach it (from noon to 10pm) without spending gems on mini games and I have never had this problem before with a maxed level park.
I think the limit on magic from habitat collections is making reaching the daily magic limit difficult.
I collect from habitats, have hit the cap, and don't earn anymore.
I played the free 5 mini games with the coin (?) drop and collected 30 magic each.
I collected from the dragon parade, have hit the cap, and don't earn anymore.

I am still earning from hatching eggs even though I've bred dragons in the rift up to 2500e, and hatched at leaset 4-6 eggs from the hatchery.

Don’t forget that the mini games  (5 free chances) are available twice each day.
Are you finding the wizards that have been turned into stone?  Your visitors will have a green frame if you haven’t collected them all.
The Voltar vision thing also gives you magic until you reach your daily limit....then it will give you a gem.

My personal go-to for hitting my magic limit is to breed through the 5,000’s in the rift.  That almost always puts me over the limit.  I do that prior to doing Voltar’s visions so I can get the gems.  All that said, if I have a lot of long breeding times, it can still be a challenge to limit out.

I hope this helps.... this event is frustrating enough.

Breeding through 15k in the rift every day for Armament, and no luck. And then I get it on the second try in my epic breeding cave. Not rift, but I'll take it!

Ah Chris, I’ve had a Mark Knopfler ear worm since March 🤪, when I ordered tix to see him at Red Rocks (Denver) this September...been practicing 🎸 “Sultans...” daily for a while now...I can play the rhythm ‘clean’ (almost) every time...workin on the riffs now. 😁

Oh yeah, the tix are in the 8th row! 😎

Finally got Armament. Strategy was to speed breed though every Brass/Paladiums as they have low timers until I get it. I knew if I did this enough I'd have a good shot.

I doubt any knows if the enchancements for Armament are gonna leave the pool or not?? so in that case I'm gonna hope to complete 1 set so atleast my Armament looks decked out lol.

Looks like a whole tourist group of koalas came to my park today! After breeding exactly zero event dragons so far, I bred three Armaments today: one in Co-op (thanks braff20 ), one in the normal breeding cave and a fire-trailed one in the Rift. I’ll give my koala friends some nice parting gifts and send them on to the next park!

And as much as I dislike the idea of going after these blasted costume pieces, my Armaments sure look like they could use a bit of dressing up!

Thanks for reaching out! Spellforms for the Armament Dragon can still be obtained from Energy Chests and Golden Chests after the dragon has expired from the prize market. Hope that helps!
