I think I will just transfer my Spectrapod over from the rift and pretend that it’s untraited. Much easier.
Willowthecat, if you have a Spectrapod, I recommend breeding it with Kampos, or another dragon in the Rift. I’m breeding Spectrapod + Spectrapod in the Vale and some of the fails are epic with epically long breeding times (currently waiting on a 26-hour timer). Also, we don’t know if/when the Spectrapod-Vale glitch will be fixed. G’luck with your Spectrapod cloning!

On a side note, my secondary park is breeding Chromacorn + Kampos and all the offspring are rare and epic dragons — no regular hybrids — much like the results for two epics that contain all 10 elements (e.g., Rainbow + Double Rainbow). I’ve noticed this before with Rift exclusives; they seem to embody the epics-with-all-10-elements quality when they’re bred with an epic-with-all-10-elements.

Thanks adlerist. I haven’t tried breeding it with Kampos yet, will do that tomorrow. Just noticed how pretty Spectrapod is with all the changing colours.

How on earth did you loop this gif with no breaks???!!!! It’s so smooth it’s flawless! Whirlwind has so much movement and it’s so fast if I tried to do this it’d look all choppy and awful. Lol I’m so bad at continuous loops I’ve given up trying. This makes Whirlwind look so good I have a new love for it! Category 5 whirlwind 😄. That is some amaaaazing editing!!!

It looks like Deca extended the event. The in-game info use to say the event would run through March 24th (and conclude at 11.00 AM MDT on March 25th). Magic would also be converted to DC on March 25th (or the 26th?). That meant the Prize Pavilion would not be open for two extra days. Here’s the old notice:
In the new updated information, it states the event will now run through March 31st (ending at 11.00 AM MDT on April 1st). But it’s still confusing. Apparently, Magic is to be converted on April 1st (or 11.00 AM MDT on April 2nd). So either the Prize Pavilion closes on April 1st (the same day as the event) or on April 2nd, because if Magic is converted to DC nothing can be purchased in the Prize Pavilion.
Deca’s event page doesn’t disclose the last day of the event, but it does state the Prize Pavilion will stay open for a couple days.
I’ll send an email to Deca asking them to clarify the end dates for the event and the Prize Pavilion, and I’ll inform the community when I hear back.

Are we expecting/is it likely that we will be getting any more new dragons during this event? Safe to spend our money now? Thanks!
When an event nears the end, I usually spend down my event currency to 15,000 - 20,000 in case there’s a surprise item added at the last minute. The Prismatic Pantheon was a late addition and cost 15,000, but was 18,000 in subsequent events (and is currently 13,600).
For this event, since I already had the returning event dragons and was able to clone the new Spectacle-tiered dragons and Triple Leap Year, I didn’t want to end up with a ton of Magic and nothing to spend it on, so Spectrapod was an insta-purchase.

Thank you! Don’t give up on eternal loops! Just select and edit the first and last frame so they’re generally in the same place. I did this one on the generic Photo app, but if you’re on iOS, you can use iMovies for a little more precision. You’re right about Whirlwind having a lot of fast animation, that does make it trickier to find an ideal start and end frame, but at least there was an opportunity to loop. Many times there isn’t and you’re forced with an awkward and abrupt break.

Used adlerist strategy for Spectrapod yesterday...bought It, feed it up to Lvl 20 and bred it w/a Lvl 20 Kampos up to R$2,500...didn’t get it. Tried it today and got it on 1st try! Feed this one up to Lvl 20 and tried for the Ped up to R$2,500 but no luck. Will try again tomorrow...Thank you ‘adly’! You sure know what you’re do’in 😎

This totally worked for me too! Thanks for the tip adlerist and for tagging me so I didn't miss it! I bought Spectrapod and leveled it to max and bred it with Kampos at max and got the 2nd Spectrapod at 5000 E. I got the pedestal at 10000 E so I guess that's 14 or 15 breeds total. Now I'm done with the event. Yay! I probably should've saved some E and bred the pedestal tomorrow but I couldn't stop!

Aw yeah! Finally got a timer for Daylily. And it only took several days and two monstrous Seasonal fails slowing me down.
But now that I have all four from the new set of dragons, I might spend my remaining currency on a pair of Omnitats and a Moonstruck dragon. It'll be the perfect addition to my new island, and a great opportunity to unload some of my babies that have been stuck in hibernation for a while.

Got the final Spectrapod for the Ped today! Used my 2, Lvl 20 Spectrapods and got it on the 3rd try. adlerist strategy sure worked faster than Chromacorn & Kampos. If you do the simple math, it comes out to only 3,467 Magic per Dragon/Ped AND saves a ‘truckload’ of E$. adly’s a genius! 💪🏻

So does anyone know of anyone who has bred a Spectrapod outside of the Rift? I’ve been trying for a while, but I haven’t been using gems to speed it up. Still, with level 17 and 20 Spectrapods, I wouldn’t expect it to take too long if it was going to work at all. I’ll keep trying since I don’t really have anything else I need to breed at the moment. Just wondering.
Perhaps someone who has access to the game files could see if it still supposed to be possible? Pretty please?
