I'm not disagreeing, strenuously or otherwise, I am just looking for clarity. When I read the rules I thought I understood them as you could purchase the egg as long as you make a post in the thread letting people know and do not hatch the egg until after the competition. Is that no longer true?

I’m sorry I had not already friended you, I usually do. When I saw your post last night, I wrote down your ID so I could friend you when I next went into DV, but then I forgot. Then when I saw this message, I immediately went in to add you. I discovered that i had written your number ID wrong. I guess it was how tired I was last night, as well as a headache. Congratulations on getting Frons. I’m sorry you missed 7th place. I was looking forward to you joining us in our oddity. Does that make me the only odd one in the family? After pondering that question...not a chance, not with our large family.
Gem paid to glolca for breeding the dragon after rulilind. I was very disappointed not to be the seventh to breed the dragon, but breeding at some other number is better than not breeding it at all.
