No, we're taking a week off with this one. I didn't want to make it too much of a grind. I'll create a new thread shortly for the 3rd Limited, which should be released next Friday, the 16th.

Just checking, did you end up buying a Frons dragon?

Phone update logged me out of GCID. Discovered when most of my friends had disappeared. Logged back in now, so should be all good, I hope. I can see my friends again, so I would think you can see me.

Ditto as in I didn't breed it either after wasting gems, etc. I didn't buy it - saving my pinecones. I don't have the time or patience for the egg hatchy game. I spend too much time playing as it is 😖

So Fletch_smf and RED are the official winners since lisgie bought a Frons.  Cool - will be paying those next.    

Meanwhile I am very happy that we aren't competing for Ignis since the only Hiddens I have are Karroot and Frons - and neither are very high in the breeding %s for Ignis.  I've been trying to get Cumulus almost constantly since Camp started, but no luck so far.  And these fails for Cumulus are long enough!  Of course, it wouldn't be that horrible to get all the winner gems...

It really makes you question the RNG doesn’t it?  Since we both couldn’t get Frons and then both got Ignis so fast.  This has also been my pattern the last three events.  I can only breed the second limited.  Not the first or third.  Would you rather I don’t signup for the next competition because I have a feeling I will end up buying the dragon again despite lots of trying?  Please let me know if it bothers you that I don’t keep the spirit of the competition to the bitter end.

First up, heck no it doesn’t bother me. I would never tell someone else how they should play DragonVale, and because it’s possible, buying a limited dragon you haven’t been able to breed is a legitimate choice. I don’t mind that you do that, and as long as you don’t mind paying out your pledge, I would love to have you in the next, and all, competitions.

Secondly, the R does stand for random. 😀 I’m not really that upset, else I would have bought it also.

Frons only contributes plant and metal to the breeding mix. So the probability of breeding Ignis with Frons + air/fire is zero.
