Hey I'm active again after quite an hiatus - I'd like to participate if I may. AngEngland Level 125 First and last
Oo, we just need your Friend ID in your game. You and I are connected through GCID, but the other players will need to connect with you to pay gems, etc.
Click on the Social menu, and bottom left corner is +Invite Friends. It will open up on your friend ID, which will be Dragonvale#xxxx Click on Change Friend ID and type in your preferred name, I'm assuming AngEngland or similar. It will then use that name and generate a 4 digit number for you.
You can just leave it as Dragonvale#xxxx but I'm sure you can imagine how hard it would be to find you in a list of other Dragonvale#xxxx. So we recomment personalising it. First time is free.
I was sondering about this as well. Would like to know before I enter.
Concern for me is more about comp ending with many winners that did not get the dragon. Maybe if I Just pledge boring it could work though. Otherwise my daily GT partners will miss out and I don't like doing that. (OR maybe I could pay the pledge from a baby park I don't play anymore?)
So, if you pledged boring, and absolutely no-one bred the dragon, you would need to send everyone a gem. Except yourself. :-) If you pledged boring, and we got to a point where everyone had the dragon except for 1, then that person would be the winner, and you would only need to pay them a gem.
Paying from a baby park would be fine, if you had to.
Now if you pledged any of the tricky pledges, you could decide to end your pledges when we had a winner. So if you were paying Twins, and someone got Twins after the winner was known, you could not pay them, and that would be fine.
Really, this is just meant to be a bit of fun, and a place where we can cheer each other on as we try for the new dragon. So start out with a boring pledge, if you like, and see if you want to do more next time. The last thing any of us want is for you to have a bad time.
Allright, I'm in.
Sofie#2388 Level 140 Pledge: Reverse Buffy (Lisgie). (If I understand it, this includes the regular gem to winner and also a gem to the person breeding dragon right before Lisgie. Not everyone before right?)
I'm sure this pledge is named after a forum member, but as I've just discovered and am watching a few episodes of Buffy the vampire slayer, this one spoke to me

angengland, I have added you as a friend, and welcome back. You are not alone on having taken a long break. My family and I came back a year ago after more than a 3 year hiatus.
Just a reminder, that this comp will be for the first limited in the Halloween event (and I mean more limited than an event dragon, which is, of course, limited by defintion). They don't usually have a limited when the event starts, and maybe this time will be different. But assuming this event goes like others, we will have a selection of dragons available for the duration of the event, and the first limited will be released next week.

I’ve added you as well. Welcome back and thanks for joining the comp!
Essentially, everyone that signed up would be randomly split into 2 groups. Everyone in Group 1 would breed with a specific person in group 2 and vice versa. Let me randomise our current sign ups to illustrate.
I assigned everyone a number according to the order they joined the comp, and just randomised the 11 numbers and got 11 3 8 10 9 4 5 7 1 6 2
Alternating the numbers into groups gives us
11. 3 8. 10 9. 4 5. 7 1. 6 2
Or Group 1 Sofie Lisgie AngEngland Crumble608 Fletch Red
and
Group 2 Theresa RULILIND LynnMarie Bagmom Golca
Everyone in Group 2 would start the week breeding with Sofie in Group 1. Everyone in Group 1 (including Sofie) would start the week breeding with Theresa (who is also breeding with Sofie).
This means that the leaders of each group has a higher chance of breeding a Twin, because so many people are breeding with them. And when any one in the goup actually bred a Twin (eg LynnMarie breeds one with Sofie), 2 people would be out. They would both be taken off the list, and then everyone in Group 2 starts breeding with Lisgie. Make sense?
As the comp continued, the list would be rotated, so whoever started at the top of the list would be moved to the bottom, and the 2nd person on the list would move to the top, and everyone in the other group would start breeding with them. Now a limited for a week is much shorter time than gemstone dragon for a month, but we could still rotate the roster every couple of days, to get through everyone, or keep the rotation going for the next event limited, so everyone was in with a decent shot.
So, the questions I have:
Do you want to tie up your CBC for this comp for the month, trying for a Twin of the limited dragon? &, if yes,
Do you want to open this to other people on the forum who aren't in the comp, to increase the numbers, and therefore chances? Basically, would this be part of this comp, or a separate comp that could run concurrently?

I would prefer to make this an independant second group because I have good experiences with cloning the new dragon in coop with someone who already has the new dragon and therefor want to use my coop this way.

dragon list (last dragon : Gatren) DV friend id: Crumble#7733 friend link coop friends always welcome, but all my gems are spoken for
I started playing Dragonvale after I retired in January 2016. I found this forum in April and joined Fletch to get the twin gems. At that time I was not as concerned with getting a twin as getting a gem dragon. I would be willing to participate, especially now that I am trying for twins and regular and twin pedestals.
I think I am with crumble608, I do not want to tie up my CBC. I may not be good at it, but I want to try to clone the new dragons, and twins are not that important to me.
I’m also with @crumble and don’t want to tie up my CBC. I’m trying a different approach for twins that is working well for me. Starting the spring shellebration I needed 204 twins. At the end of the event I was down to needing 187 twins, including the dragons added in the event. It’s not fast, but I feel like I’m getting there. I haven’t counted since that event (I know, I need a spreadsheet) so I don’t know if it’s still working, but it also gets buckets of event cash.

So just to clarify, for those that don't want to use their CBC for the limited, I wouldn't be making it mandatory for The Last Call comps, or anything. If you don't want to do it, that's fine. But for those that were interested, would you prefer in keeping it for the players that sign up for this, or would you be okay with opening it up to others?
I guess the main reason I am asking it here, is that I think anyone who will be breeding for the limited, might have signed up here already. I don't know how many people would sign up to breed for a Twin, if they weren't already doing this. And I wouldn't want to start a new thread/comp, if it was just going to be the same people that are already signed up here.
I, as well, am not concentrating on getting a twin. I will be using my CBC for the limited, but as soon as I get one, either regular or twin, I’m going to be out of the comp and try for something else that I need. Since we started this super fun way to get the limited, Ive only once gotten a twin and that was from someone else not on the forum.
So I guess I’m not interested in going for twin also. Too many other dragons to get first.

I like the idea, but am not sure about a month. How about during the time the limited is available to breed?
Am more inclined to participate if it's an epic dragon. I haven't really started collecting twin rares, so trying to get regular versions of more event dragons would have priority over twin rares for me.
I think I would prefer keeping it within the comp. Mostly because of keeping some kind of oversight for myself.
Though perhaps not everyone interested in twins joins the last call comp. (Difference between just breeding for dragons versus also having to participate in gift-giving.)
