This past week, I’ve had an unexpected non-DV issue consume my time, so I unintentionally took a step back from the forum. As a result, I’ve been slower thanking friends for twins and replying to posts and PMs. Please know, it is not because I don’t care or do not deeply appreciate the twins, gifts, posts, and messages. There’s just a lot of other things I need to address now. But I’ll hopefully be picking up the pace soon.
Also, I’ve notified and delivered gems and treats to all friends who sent twins of the new event dragons during BEB and up until now. If I haven’t sent anything, it’s because I didn’t receive it, so please message me.
Thank you to the always outstanding staff for their dedication to the forum, and to all the marvellous members for keeping this place alive and giving it purpose. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to posting the typical ridiculousness, as usual.

Has anyone purchased any of the new decorations yet? I don't think I'll have enough spare roses to buy all the decorations, so I'm interested to hear which ones I should focus on trying to buy.
The last chocolate has finally disappeared from the chocolate box. Someone must have been tricked into eating it.
This is an excellent question! Yes, I do believe some of the new decorations are superior to others. But here are images so players can judge for themselves.

LOVER’S BRIDGE
This is my least favourite new deco because it has such a large footprint (4x4). The blank space (no path) around the Bridge shows its enormity. Nothing can be placed near it.

The flowing water is animated. I cannot deny the animated decos!
CANDLOVERA
After Heart Haven, Candlovera is my second favourite decoration. It’s elegant, the candle flames are animated, and it changes appearance from night to day!
Thank you for the pictures and descriptions of the decorations adlerist. I love the decorations that change appearance depending on whether it is day or night. Heart Haven and Candlovera are on the to buy list - as is the Fountain of Love because of its animation.
So I'm cruising through my park when I happened upon this lovely sight.
Everybody in the pool! It looks a bit crowded in there. 😄 I have to wonder if maybe Entwined is using that silver orb as a beach ball, and maybe they're having a pool party. It's fitting, I suppose, having a pair of dragons face off in a beach ball game against a single dragon with two heads.
Ah, but I do love putting dragons in an Omnitat, just to see if they have a swimming animation. Now all we need is for Murano to join them and this image would be complete.

New bug introduced with the event ending. Some players, myself included, crash immediately when clicking the 'breed' button in any cave. Can do previous breeds with no problem, just can't click 'breed'. My wife's account is not impacted.
There is a post on reddit with a few others experiencing the issue.
This is terrible for me, as I finally got a Spritely dragon in the rift today and want to spend the next 2 days trying for Masque. Can't breed it now tho!
Edit: Tried it on a 3rd device, just to test. Crashes too, so it's an issue with the park itself. I can breed in other alt account parks on that device.
The weather shows on the new breed menu screen, but we've all noticed that it's showing the Twilight tower icon and the day/night word rather than the actual weather. That's the source of the new crashing issue. My parks that got reset back to 'None' for Twilight and 'Sun' for Weather all crashed. I changed the weather to 'Snow', to copy my wife's park. It still crashed. Then I set the tower to 'Hearts', also matching hers. No more crashes.
I don't know if you only need to set the Twilight to someone other than None, but setting the above two things fixed my park and all my alts that were crashing.

And then I got all exicted, seeing one of the long fails and thinking I had cloned Masque. But then I looked a little closer and saw that I was off by about five hours.
Is it too soon to whine? Because I'm feeling the need to do so. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

For the 1st time since DECA took over i wont have enough game currency to buy all I want.
Tolzar has been oops for gems and roses the past few days. Three double weekends in a row I had an impossible donation cards, not a single regular dragon.
Yes, I received some compensation and am grateful. And the chocolate box deco was a very nice unexpected gift. But overall it’s been a big disappointment. I am hoping it was just a series of glitches and not a new strategy to increase in ap purchases, like the bad old days under hasbro, when i didnt want to play very much.
Hope this doesn’t sound too negative. I love this game and have felt like DECA has done a good job, more in the spirit of BFS. I just feel concerned and would like to hear what others think.

Worst event ever for me. Over my four games, I managed to breed exactly ONE event dragon, Grace. I have enough roses to buy one of each of the dragons, but gone are the days of two of each and maybe the pedestal. Almost given up on getting rift versions. Very disappointing.
Breeding the dragons has become more difficult in recent events, many of us are noticing that. I honestly think the issue is lack of knowledge on their part, and not any conspiracy to get us to pay more for the dragons. They're coming up with some interesting combos in recent events, but the odds to get the dragon aren't changing based on the difficulty of the breed. For example, most of these limiteds this event were around a 1-3% chance to breed, base odds. Not a problem when it's a Giddle, 3 elements and you truly have a 3% chance. But then look at Masque, 1.5% chance, but with so many results that the odds drop to half that, 0.75%. Some are even a little lower. This is where it becomes a problem. Masque should be a 5% chance breed, dropping to 2.5% effectively when adding in all the results. They're not adjusting dragons with large result sets, giving them higher breeding odds.
Now we end up with a dragon game where we can't breed most of the new dragons. That's the entire point of the game, breeding dragons. They need someone with an understanding of the odds to pick the breeding percent chances, and not just copy the odds from previous dragons and assume they'll be the same.

I bred way more dragons than on average. 4, not 2-ish. I also got 3 out 4 rares I skipped on Halloween to buy habitats over the course of it. I'm not even buying dragons I don't want at this point, my park has literally zero space. An etrxavaganza would be awesome.

Quil, thank you for pointing this out. I was experiencing the crashes in the rift when I was trying to breed, and thought it was something with the RAM, so gave up after a couple of times. Good thing I came here to check. I set the Tower to Hearts, and the weather to butterflies and it worked! So maybe just need to set the Tower to Hearts to avoid the crashes? (I have not tried my other 2 parks though).

This is the same for me on IOS. Started today at reset
EDIT: read Quil ‘s fix and changed twilight tower to “hearts”. Then I WAS able to breed in the co op breeding cave again without a crash. Thanks Quil!
