Worst event ever for me. Over my four games, I managed to breed exactly ONE event dragon, Grace. I have enough roses to buy one of each of the dragons, but gone are the days of two of each and maybe the pedestal. Almost given up on getting rift versions. Very disappointing.
I bought roses for the first time. In my small park I made a bad decision and bought the entwined dragon, so I didn’t have enough roses left to get a small habitat and the Scuttle.
In my main Park, I have to decide on the Canvas or a small omnitat and Canna or Scuttle. I have to make a decision soon. Hmmm,
I swear, if I never breed another blasted Daylily dragon...
Given how many of the relevant dragons I *didn't* (and mostly still don't) have in the Rift at the start of the event it's not too surprising, but it *is* still somewhat frustrating I'm probably not going to be able to get all of the dragons this event. First time in as long as I can remember, ignoring once or twice where I was a goober and forgot to buy a limited before it expired. Ah well.
Yay, Masque egg on the nest. Sleepy napkin math says I should be able to buy all the remaining dragons now. Won't be able to buy much else, but oh well.
Still mildly irritating how we're s'posed to have allllll the past event dragons already Rifted when we can only breed them during the relevant events (when we have new stuff that needs breeding) and BEB (when we also need to breed everything *else* we don't have yet)...
Also anyone want a bouquet of rifted Daylily dragons? -_- I swear that's all my fishing-for-Sumi pair can produce the last day or few...
I wish I could gift someone the 2XPs that are just sitting in my gifts. I am not sure how many gems I can give out, but was able to give one to everybody today. I am waiting for a good gem sale and I will buy the ornaments that allow me to send more gems. I do not need Gems, personally, so please do not feel you need to send any. I just need to have friends for my CBC. (And for advice and....friendship). Sorry to send so many messages, but I am trying to read every thread and I have questions. There is an event called Bring Them Back about once a year. Every dragon becomes available to be bred again then. Trying for dragons with as low odds as masque is usually a waste, though.
Gems are important for young parks, as they're your fastest source of dragon cash. Converting 50g at level 40 is useless, converting 50g at level 140 is 1,1 billion DC.
Buying Withbee's Lantern is the fastest way to gain exp I think, they're cheap too. Unfortunately, they're Halloween decorations.
The weather shows on the new breed menu screen, but we've all noticed that it's showing the Twilight tower icon and the day/night word rather than the actual weather. That's the source of the new crashing issue. My parks that got reset back to 'None' for Twilight and 'Sun' for Weather all crashed. I changed the weather to 'Snow', to copy my wife's park. It still crashed. Then I set the tower to 'Hearts', also matching hers. No more crashes.
I don't know if you only need to set the Twilight to someone other than None, but setting the above two things fixed my park and all my alts that were crashing.
Genius, I would never have figured it out. But "hearts and butterflies" is letting me get in some last tries before the event ends... hopefully we won't need them permanently.
Just heard back from Deca. The crashing bug has been fixed. I tested it with my original settings with Day and None, and no crash now. If anyone else finds a setting that crashes the game, let us know and I'll test it too and respond to their email.

My advice is to get multiple items. You can always use a wish for a single dragon. Getting a habitat (esp. a high earner like an omnitat (not so much a snowflake)) is always a good thing to get more dragoncash.
You also can’t clone a habitat (or get it in an egg of mystery).

I hope everyone was able to either breed or buy all the new dragons 🐲and pick up a few habitats 🏝🏜🌋 and decorations too! 💝🌹💖🌹❣️ Even though there were so many glitches and Oops 🙄 it was still fun and not as stressful as some past events have been, to me anyway.
I did pretty well and was able to breed all the dragons and only had to buy three peds. I picked up two large Omnitats making my max, and I bought 5 Aura habitats. I also got one of each of the new decorations and still had enough to buy 37 Moonstruck peds to sell for DC, thanks amos 😊

Ooh, sleepy-napkin-math me managed to miss the fact I'd apparently bred a Murano at some point. Sweet, 10.5k more arbitrary currency to spend!

So, I have decided on a new strategy for extra event cash at the end. It is dependent on the RBCs coming back in a future event. Instead of getting 37 peds to sell for cash, I buy extra event dragons so I have a breeding pair for the RBC and continue my work towards blue fire. (Which is really not likely to ever happen, I still need 136 after this event, but it is a goal.)
