The DragonVale team at Deca Games would like to receive feedback from players regarding the new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of our member’s input, Rate A Dragon feedback threads will be created for each new dragon approximately 4 days to 4 weeks after its release. This will allow players some time to breed the dragons and admire their fine qualities!
This thread will remain unlocked until the event concludes. At the end of the event, I will pass your feedback on to Deca.
Please take a minute to rate the dragon from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread, or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your opinions, and giving the forum a voice.

Due to a potential limit on the number of friends a player can have before issues arise in the game, I will only be able to add Forum members. Thank you, for your understanding, and please consider joining us!
The forum has a brand new awards feature! Members who rate all the dragons from the Spectacular Spectacle will receive a Popcorn Stand award on their profile. This is our way of thanking players for taking the time and providing valuable feedback. Your input will help Deca in designing dragons for our beloved game. And you’ll have popcorn to show for it!
Here are some details on the Awards:
1. You must be a member to receive an award because ProBoards does not retain guest profiles.
2. To see the awards, you’ll need to be viewing the forum in the desktop version because the mobile version does not show the mini-profile.
3. Awards will display on your mini-profile with all your posts and on your main Profile page. The awards will be permanent, but if you ever want to remove them, just let me know.
4. To receive the Popcorn Stand award, simply rate all nine Spectacle dragons on their Rate a Dragon threads before the threads are locked at the end of the event.
But that’s not all! There will be more awards for members to obtain as you continue to rate additional dragons in upcoming events. Stay tuned, as new awards will be announced.
If you prefer to not publicly post, you can message me with your dragon ratings. Just be sure to contact me before the event concludes. You will still be awarded the Popcorn Stand.
Here’s an enlarged image of the Popcorn Stand award!

l. Rate Binky’s animation quality (below is a video of the animation)
It's technically good. Except that flower. (4/5)
2. How would you rate Binky’s Rift trait placement and look (the fire trait is showing in the above video) A bit too much for me. It's awkward that the flower is unrifted. (2/5)
3. Please rate Binky’s size (you may want to check how his size compares to other dragons in your park) Just right (5/5)
4. Rate Binky’s price (14,000 Magic) I understand that prices have to raise with the breeding chance. (5/5).
5. How well does Binky fit the theme of the event? It's a clown dragon. Enough said (5/5)
6. Rate the attention to detail in Binky’s design. I don't like most chunky dergs, but it still looks like a dragon, at least. The design is good enough by itself unrifted. Not sure if I hate the direction they went into for a clown dragon or clowns in general. It's technically not a bad dragon, though a bit rough around the edges (4/5).
7. (OPTIONAL) Add any additional comments or feedback. It's clear that it gains no survival benefit from being a clown. That raises very many questions about how they came to be which, when answered, doesn't fit the general lore style at all.
l. Rate Binky’s animation quality: 2 I like the juggling and the follow-up burp, but what is up with the flower that shoots water drops? I get that Binky is a jester/clown and the water-shooting-flower goes with that. However it seems like the flower should be attached to Binky in some way - maybe Binky whips out the flower and shoots water at another dragon - but there is already the juggling act going on. The flower piece just ruins it for me and don't get me started on the huge water droplets. Only gave it a 2 because of the juggling.
2. How would you rate Binky’s Rift trait placement and look: 5 The rings on the knees are a nice touch and I like the overall placement and look.
3. Please rate Binky’s size: I don't have a Binky so I cannot rate this.
4. Rate Binky’s price: 3
5. How well does Binky fit the theme of the event: 5 This jester dragon fits perfectly.
6. Rate the attention to detail in Binky’s design: 2 The shading on Binky is a fair attempt at giving some detail, but it is quite blotchy. I imagine an unRifted Binky would be quite awkward and plain looking.
7. (OPTIONAL) Add any additional comments or feedback: Have to give a shout out to the thoughts behind this dragon. From the breeding pair (Nightmare and Tranquil) to the elements (Dream and Sun), I couldn't imagine a more appropriate name than Binky! The jester/clown look doesn't quite go with the breeding/naming details, but the two might have not been aligned intentionally. Seems like an awkward combination.
1. The part with the flower and the swimming animation can leave. 3/5
2. Kinda expected. Better than boring belly rifts. 5/5
3. It's too big. 1/5
4. Expected for the limited event dragons. 5/5
5. Of course, we are going to have a true clown dragon for the circus event. Faire barely cuts it. 5/5
6. Not really a fan. 2/5
7. I raise my eyebrow and thought, "That's the Nightmare + Tranquil combo? I thought it could be better like a serpent manifested from phobias because that's what I expected for the locked combo." Also, even though it was inherited from the parents required to breed it, I feel the epic element don't fit it at all.

1. 5/5 Love the animation, I even like the flower! 2. 5/5 The rift version looks great, really like that the juggling balls have the trait. Just wish I’d managed to breed one. 3. 1/5 Way too big. 4. 3/5 Could be cheaper but not too bad. 5. 5/5 It’s a circus, it’s a clown, job done. 6. 3/5 Clearly a clown but just too big. 7. It’s truly the stuff of nightmares.
7. Comments Binky has the best animation of all the dragons so far. Does everything that a clown would do - fall over, juggle, swallows fire balls, hiccups and has a water squirting flower. BUT I don't like it. It looks too much like a cartoon dragon and I don't think it fits the sun/dream category. It would have been better being an element dragon like Fluffles etc. The latest Fuefuego would have been a better Sun/Dream dragon.
It also has a swimming animation, which all new dragons seem to have. adlerist , perhaps you could mention to Deca that not all dragons require the swimming animation. Binky doesn't need it, neither did Yeti/Snowball.

1. 5 2. 5 3. 5 4. 3 5. 5 6. 2 7. i love the nightmare dragon as u can see. its my avatar. so im sad this wasnt dragon i liked more. should be scary clown w nightmare. not as much imagination as other dragons.
1: 5 I enjoy his act 2: 2 I like the colors in untraited Binky but there isn't a red/pink trait to be similar, and I don't like any rifted colors as much 3: 5 4: 5 5: 5 great fit with theme 6: 4 at first I thought he was too clunky and stupid looking, but I've gotten to appreciate him more. He's definitely clownish.
7. Comments: feels like a huge opportunity was missed by not having Binky change appearance from day to night. Day = pleasant, 'tranquil' clown who entertains children. Night = frightening, 'nightmare' clown who terrifies children.

1. Animation = 5
2. Trait = 5
3. Size = 4
4. Price = 3
5. Theme = 5
6. Detail = 3
7. Comments: Since the clown is the main actor in a circus, I would have liked the clown dragon to be more Spectacular. Binky seemed rushed there was a lot of potential with this dragon having Nightmare and Tranquil as parents with a clown/circus theme. Binky fell short of all that.
