The anglerfish is incredible. It’s about time there’s a dragon based on it — it already looks like one. And now Angler has someone who’ll go fishing with him.
OMG that picture of the anglerfish is so SPOOKY! I love the article. I know a little bit about the anglerfish and their habitat deep in the ocean so they haven’t been the easiest to observe. It is a creepy fish. I love it!

I'm seeing a strong resemblance to the Pokemon Whiscash. Like if Whiscash evolved and gained a dragon element along the way. Very nice though. Hopefully it'll find its way into my park soon. I've still got plenty of space to dunk his behind in the pool at the giant water habitat.
Chimmit does look a little like Whiscash! I’ve always though Whiscash was a whale + catfish. He’s got those catfish whiskers.
GEE HAA!! Got a Rifted Chimmit in the Rift w/a Lvl 11 Current and a Lvl 20 Mirage at the E$ 2000 and another NON Rifted at E$ 5000. It’s on its way to the Park right now where I will 💙 it.
I have no clue what "Chimmit" means, but there is another dragon the anglerfish: Sea Devil. From DV World.

It appears we’ve had a series of miscommunications. When I said 'it’s about time there’s a dragon based on it [anglerfish]' I was saying it’s about time there’s a DV dragon based on it. Yes, I know Backflip created an anglerfish inspired dragon for DV World, but there has not been one in DragonVale, until today.
If 'chimmit' is a made-up word, then I guess it can mean anything we want it mean. 😊

I always thought the Abyss dragon was (loosely) based on the anglerfish. Of course DECA's rendering is much more detailed and elaborate, really beautiful, but I think Abyss definitely has the lure.

I had always thought the Abyss dragon was based on the anglerfish as well. I had nearly forgotten (because we haven't been able to breed him yet!) - but there is also the Angler dragon from the Tundral Rumble Christmas event.

Bad news is that my island is now clogged with a Painbow (What I nickname rainbow fails.).
Whoops. I didn’t pay attention to who got it with. That was actually amos I cooped with. Not adlerist . My mistake.
Now I only have Ghostly Spirit to try in my breeding caves, meaning I almost have nothing to breed. So if anyone can blue heart me a Wedingo, that would be great. Because everyone else that had it up kept taking it down too quickly.

I think the Angler isn't so much a fish as just angular (lots of straight lines and angles)

That is interesting I wondered about DVW but it didn’t seem like DECA had any connection with it. It wasn’t as popular as DV so it probably wasn’t worth it to get both games. I’m so glad they saved DV so we at least have that!
I read that the big issue was 3D modelling being much more difficult and expensive. So they needed more staff...? Hell, it comes down to the same issue, but DV was less risky.
I'm sure glad they followed the regular pattern of hybrid and hybrid for the first event limited dragon, I'm not having much luck with rifted versions of the ones on the suggested to breed list (still no additions, Adlerist?) or the other suspects (previous camping dragons).

This so much! It's also great they're not forcing senseless epic traits on dragons( making them easier to breed).
