I think the Angler isn't so much a fish as just angular (lots of straight lines and angles)I had always thought the Abyss dragon was based on the anglerfish as well. I had nearly forgotten (because we haven't been able to breed him yet!) - but there is also the Angler dragon from the Tundral Rumble Christmas event. 
An angler is a fisherman, someone who fishes with a rod and line. So an anglerfish is a fisherfish, a fish that fishes. The Angler Dragon appears to be a fisherdragon, a dragon that fishes with its fishing hook tail. That’s why I said in my Chimmit/anglerfish post that Angler now has someone who’ll go fishing with him. BFF!
Somebody at Deca really loves fishing, likely fly fishing.

I'm sure glad they followed the regular pattern of hybrid and hybrid for the first event limited dragon, I'm not having much luck with rifted versions of the ones on the suggested to breed list (still no additions, Adlerist?) or the other suspects (previous camping dragons).

Dragons are being quite coy. Maybe we need a Koi Dragon.

Thanks for pointing that out, Adlerist. I hadn't read the description or noticed the fishhook tail on Angler, just all his pointy angles. As far as fly fishing vs. baited hook fishing, since worms (wyrms) are related to dragons, I hope none of us would stick one on a fishhook!

I don’t think the problem was not enough staff. No, I mean the problem is too much staff. Too many people required to keep it running, that's what I read at least.

I decided to take the risk for Traited Atramento/Chimmit by using Minchi and Shadow.Lo and behold, Chimmit came first! And it's the exact same trait my alt got it with.I think Earth trait doesn't look too bad on it.

Cheers! The quest was added to wiki earlier (Tor and Schmacklar are too fast!). And yes, that’s correct, a piscator is an angler. Piscator has the same origin as Pisces, the Fishes.

I got party + epic in all of my caves since I lacked every event dragon. Got Combustion and Thunderbolt from it.
