1. Animation : 4 Has some interesting animations, but quite jerky and the handstand is odd. I do like how his wings pulse like speakers.
2. Rift trait : 3 Far too subtle. Having a rift Techno and a normal Techno side by side in the habitat it is hard to see the difference between the two.
3. Size : 3.5 I don't like big dragons, but this is the other extreme. Techno is way too small and scrawny. I have had to put him in the smallest Melody habitat so he doesn't get lost and can still find his way home.
4. Price (16,650 Pinecones) : 4 All the dragons in this event were expensive

8. Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) : The theme seems to have got confused this event. I can't decide whether it was a Halloween event or a musical event, there was a mix of both kinds of dragons. There wasn't one clear theme with the dragons. The splash screen with its eerie green campfire hinted at dark, foreboding dragons, which I don't think was achieved with all the dragons in the event.
Still trying to figure out why Chomp is on the splash screen. Did he forget to go home from the Camping event?

TECHNO DRAGON
1. Animation
The only complaint I have on the animation (and this is a minor thing) is that he moves a little too quickly sometimes. When he moves forward like he's addressing the crowd, he backs up so quickly afterwards that it's like he's running away full speed and is going to trip over his own two feet. But aside from that everything else is fine. He's got some nice dance moves. --- Giving it a score of 3.
2. Rift trait
I actually like having the rift trait on his tail and chest. It makes sense because those spikes on his tail should be glowing and pretty like that, just like they are on the screen when they measure the volume of the music. --- Giving it a score of 4.
3. Size (if you don’t own Techno, please check a friend’s park)
This dragon is way too small. Poor little guy looks like somebody stuffed him in the dryer and he shrank. --- Giving it a score of 1.
4. Price (16,650 Pinecones)
Another dragon that costs too much. Lowering it to 12,650 would be better, while making the non-limited event dragons around 10,000. Like seriously, how are we supposed to have any currency leftover for habitats and decorations? Because the breeding odds on these new Melody dragons are rather poor. --- Giving it a score of 2.
5. How well does Techno fit the theme
He doesn't really fit into a Halloween theme, but I like him anyway. --- Giving it a score of 2.
6. Design details
Excellent design on this one. I like all the little details like pulsating speakers in his wings and the headphones he's wearing. This is one really cool looking dragon. --- Giving it a score of 5.

This is another dragon that I love. 💗 Really happy to see the Melody element brought into the game, and that another one of my favorite genres of music now has it's very own dragon. --- Giving it a score of 5.

Don't get me wrong - I listen to techno music a bit, but this dragon is just plain ugly. And don't get me started on the price. It matches the size of the other Melody dragons, but this one is also too small. Not sure why the first three dragons for Melody had to be these genres, but maybe it's because they can be considered weird or spooky? Very happy to see a new theme, but it just doesn't fit really well with Halloween.

1. Rate Techno's animation quality:1/5
Its wings don't flap, or even move in some flying animations. The limbs move really awkwardly. The dancing, the headstand, the weird headset adjusting(?)... nothing the Techno dragon does makes it feel like a dragon. It feels like some awkward teenage skateboarder boy, and it's not appealing in the slightest.
2. Rate Techno's Rift trait placement and appearance:1/5
When it comes to a dragon's Rift trait placement, I believe that not all Rift traits have to be showy and in-your-face. That being said, I also believe that a dragon's Rift trait placement should not make me have to play "spot the difference" when comparing a traited and non-traited dragon side by side. I mean, I guess it makes sense that a part of the Techno dragon's tail waves would get the Rift trait placement, but seriously? Not even the whole thing gets the Rift trait, only a tiny little portion of it! Not to mention how there's plenty of other places that the Rift trait could've also gone in addition to being on the tail. There's a lot of wasted potential.
3. Rate Techno's size:1/5
The Techno dragon is another example of an undersized dragon that would be much better if it were larger. It's way too small to make any sort of impact. Then again, considering how much people dislike this dragon, maybe it's for the best that it's harder to see... hmm...
4. Rate Techno's price (16,650 Candy):2/5
I would not pay a single piece of candy for this dragon if I had to simply because of how much I dislike it. That being said, this category actually doesn't get an automatic 1/5! The one saving grace is that the price jump between this dragon and the Punk dragon from before isn't very drastic. Additionally, out of all of the existing Melody dragons, it can be argued that this one is the simplest to obtain through breeding. Its breeding combo is fairly tame for a limited event dragon. I guess this dragon is spared from a 1/5 spread across the entire board.
5. How well does Techno fit the theme of the event?:1/5
I agree with what a lot of people have said about the Techno dragon: it doesn't even look like it belongs in DragonVale, let alone this event. It's so awkward and out-of-place for the setting that the game takes place in. I'm starting to wonder if this dragon was meant for another game, and it accidentally ended up in this one instead. Even ignoring the off-putting design and art style, I don't see how it correlates to camping or Halloween.
6. Rate the attention to detail in Techno's design:1/5
AaaAAAA!!! Why does this dragon have modern speaker wings??? Why are the speakers even on the wings??? Why are they pulsing??? Why do the limbs have to be so long and skinny and awkward in style and movement??? Why does this dragon have headphones??? Why, Deca Games, whyyyy--
Um... I guess the tail is cool in concept... and the egg is pretty... I guess...

I am keeping this thing in storage forever. I didn't think it was possible to make a dragon that I disliked so much as to never want to display it. I already had a tiny handful of dragons that I really, truly disliked, and yet somehow, there is now a dragon in that handful that I can say is objectively my least favorite of them all. The only reason I have one is because I want to own all of the dragons.
I don't take pleasure in saying a bunch of not-so-nice things about the dragons in this game, as I don't like to come across as being a whiney, overly negative person, but man... this dragon is awful. I'm very disappointed in its existence. I refuse to acknowledge it outside of this post (and one little pedestal in my pedestal collection).

I guess the Yeti dragon isn't so bad after all...
Anyway, time to rate a dragon I actually like now!

Comments/feedback for Deca (optional) The most disappointing thing about this dragon, or robot, is that Halloween is a favorite event for many DV players, and instead of making spooky and scary Halloween dragons you gave use 3 Melody dragons that have nothing to do with Halloween. The holiday only happens once a year, why would you not take advantage of it and come with the craziest and creepiest dragons? You can’t do that for the other 11 months. DV always had the best dragons for Halloween that’s why we look forward to it. This Halloween was a let down and a huge missed opportunity for some cool dragons. I think that’s part of the reason why people are so upset about the Melody dragons.
1. Animation 1/5 - It looks like they just rotated the drawing for the animation. Does it do an Irish Jig?
2. Rift trait 1/5 - shouldn't it be on the wings like the other melody dragons? Very subtle, I had to pull up a normal version of the dragon to even see it in the video.
