EVOLUTION DRAGONS
The only* way to obtain an evolution dragon is to evolve a base dragon into a new form. Each evolve dragon has certain conditions that must be met before the base dragon can be evolved.
Most conditions require 10 decorations in the park before being able to evolve the base dragon. The decorations are usually available during their respective event and can be obtained by collecting gifts scattered around the park, getting golden chests in the mini games, purchasing extra mini games with gems or by purchasing the golden chest in the event market. Purchasing a golden chest in the event market is guaranteed to give you a decoration that is not already owned.
Note: Do not have any decorations in the social menu before purchasing a golden chest. Otherwise, a duplicate may be given.
When the requirements are met, the base dragon selected will have an available ‘Evolve’ button on its card. It will then ask for confirmation that you wish to proceed. The base dragon will transform into the new evolve form. Evolving a dragon is permanent and after evolving the dragon, the base dragon will no longer be in your park. If evolving a rift version, change the trait of the base dragon if a different trait is preferred for the evolve dragon.
If the dragon being evolved belongs in the current event, the cost will be event currency. If it is evolved outside the relevant event it will be gems.
* These dragons may also be obtained with a Daily Gift Egg or an Egg of Mystery. Or they may appear in an event and can be purchased with event currency.
Tips
Keep at least 2 of the base dragon as it is easier to breed more of these if required using two of the same dragon.
If collecting rift dragons, evolve a normal rift and a twin rift base dragon to the evolved form. These two evolved dragons can then be bred together in the vale to give unrifted versions. (Evolve both dragons with different traits - the evolved dragon does not automatically come with all the rift traits that the base dragon holds)
Some dragons need to be at a certain level before they can be evolved. This will require that both the Monument of the Epics and Relic of the Epics are in the park so that the dragons can be levelled up beyond Level 15.
Apart from the dragon, there are also other criteria that may have to be present in your park before the evolve button is active.
Below is a list of Evolution Dragons, the base dragon and the requirements that need to be present in the park.
