HOW TO ALWAYS WIN AT THE RACES
There are two major Race Track tips that will ensure you win first place.
1. Epic Dragons
When you race with an epic dragon, the other dragons will also be epics and they will not receive the line boosts, so it’s much easier to win. But there are a couple restrictions to selecting the best epic dragon
a. The epic dragon must have at least one of the race’s required primary elements showing on its card. So you can’t use Rainbow for every race and win.
b. If there isn’t an epic that has all of the race’s requested elements, you can use an epic that only matches one of the race’s elements. This is especially helpful for races like Light Show, which is really close when you use a hybrid.
2. Hidden Boost
a. At the beginning of the race, there’s a countdown '3... 2... 1... Go!' If you tap just before the race starts, between '1' and 'Go', there is a hidden boost (it’s similar to the boosts you receive when you tap the lines on the race track). The closer you tap to 'Go', the greater the boost you’ll receive.
3. Other Tips
a. The level of your racing dragons does not have an impact on its performance. A low level dragon will have the same results as a level 20.
b. Three or More Element Dragons: If you don’t have any epics that fit the race’s elements, use a dragon with three or more elements (e.g., Epoch for Wintery Whiteout). Dragons with three or more elements do much better than two-element dragons. I frequently use them over epics just to mix it up and keep the races interesting. If I miss the hidden boost, I can still win the race with a three-element dragon, provided that I tap all the boost lines on the track with 'Perfect' or 'Great'.
c. DV Wiki has a chart of recommended dragons to use for each race, but it’s time consuming to look up each race by name, and it’s unnecessary since all you need are matching epic dragons and the hidden boost.
