The always brilliant HawkHound created the Dreamcatcher dragon for Deca’s Community Design Contest. Deca Games brought the magnificent dragon to life in the Vale as the Lightmare dragon.

1. I like the part where it lets a yellow light (good dream) and captures a black light (nightmare). 4

3. Cheaper than Buttercup. Odd. 4
4. Spot on on the “dream" part, not sure about the love part. 4.5
5. Sounds about legit to a counterpart to nightmare. 5
6. 5, but would it hurt to make the co-op chance 4? Even 3? Or 2? 2, including a psuedo in a locked combo is a horrible idea in the first place. Co-op chance with every single element doesn't help matters. Should have at least just leave it unchanged or just use Nightmare + Light.

8. It’s a wildly missed opportunity for a Dream/Moon element dragon! We are devoided of a single Dream/Moon dragon and this is the perfect opportunity as it’s supposed to be a counterpart to Nightmare! And yet it was denied... while we have a stupid clown for Dream/Sun. Please, make the elements more interesting! Came to be glad that it was fixed, but here to remind that requiring Dream (And Rainbow) should not automatically make the dragon a Pseudo. Look at Delirium and Elysium. And DECA's own Darkmatter.
1. Animation: 5 The little animations of it catching dreams are great, and overall the idle animations feel like what it should be; an elegant creature of the night!
2. Size: 4 Pretty beeg, which fits pretty well.
3. Price: 4 It's fine, but I wish there would be lower prices for the newbies since there's 1 more than usual.
4. How well does Lightmare fit the theme: 5 Super dreamy and a pun on Nightmare to fit the sweet part! I love it!
5. Design details: 5 It doesn't feel overly detailed, but also feels very fleshed out! The super tiny spots on the dreamcatcher wings and little fins on its head and tail are highlights.
6. How would you rate Lightmare’s breeding combo: 5 It's simple, and it makes sense.
7. How much do you like Lightmare: 5 Excellent introduction to the gallery of DECA's usual output of contest-originating dragons. Nice work, Hawkhound on getting 'er in!

Bravo to Deca for including HawkHound’s wildly creative description of the Dreamcatcher dragon in Lightmare’s story and animating it! HawkHound also mentioned Sweet Dreams, so if not consciously, then subconsciously, the Dreamcatcher influenced this entire event. 💕💤
Unfortunately, the element was missed, as Dreamcatcher is a Dream dragon, and sadly Lightmare has no Dream.
But in the end, nothing outshines Lightmare. An incredible interpretation of the incredible Dreamcatcher — the best of the event and the best of the Vale!

6. Breeding combo (MOON + air + light): 3/5 - A nice relatively accessible breeding combo, but for thematic purposes, I really think the Dream element or a dream element dragon should be involved in the breeding combo.

The Lightmare dragon is very well-implemented from HawkHound's contest entry for the most part. The most baffling thing I find about it is why it does not have the Dream element. It's released in the Sweet DREAMS event, it's inspired by a DREAMcatcher dragon, its inspiration is from the All About DREAMS community contest, and it's named as a counterpart to the Nightmare Dragon, which is a dream dragon. If Deca is trying to diversify the elements that new event dragons have, then that's great, but at least give Lightmare the Moon/Dream elements in that case! That would be a unique element combination. The Dream element is my personal favourite element, and I find it mildly disappointing that this dragon is so suited for it yet does not have it. Regardless, other than those grievances, Lightmare is a very beautiful and graceful dragon to grace our parks.

8. Comments/feedback for Deca : Lightmare is a fantastic dragon and I love the animation when it sends out pleasant dreams and captures the bad dreams. It is such a great depiction of HawkHounds original dragon. I think MOON + DREAM will be a challenging breeding combo when Lighmare is available to breed as the Dream dragon contributes all 10 elements. There are going to be many, many dragons and many long fails associated with this combo.

1. Animation: 5+ I can't praise her hunting animation enough. The way she spots the nightmare, stares at it and then swoops over? omg. Then the way it struggles in her wings is just perfect and her nom nom nom. She's stolen my heart. She has a personality and I love that! Her wing flapping animation is spot on. I also think the way the baby flutters around is cute and moth-like, which makes sense given she's partly based off moths.

5. Design details: 4 Tough to critique. Honestly, I'm cool with all the changes. I knew my design was a starting point for Deca, so expected modifications if she was used. I'm surprised Deca kept the old legs as what I would now consider "vestigial third wings". They did a great job making the wings translucent and I like that she shares the diamonds with Lumineux. Nice colour overall. One critical point - I'd like her facial features to be a little less 'soft' so us low-res users got a crisper looking face. The baby is well proportioned and a good size.

8. Comments: Lightmare is an absolutely perfect name. I'm so glad I didn't think of it. I do agree with others here that given the theme, Lightmare should also have had the Dream element. I look forward to seeing where the rift trait placement is. Thanks for bringing her to life, Deca!
